    Before to order the pieces i tried a variant of your flaps using 3l bar and binocular at both ends but i'm not sure if in this way they will fit the same due to the different position of the circled parts. https://flic.kr/p/srxAxQ

    Excellent work Dave, and I like engine interior a lot. To join the 4x4 plates is a good idea: did they stop falling?

    I analized a few photo zooming and it seemed a single piece but you are right, it is as you said, it is obvious now: probably i'm a little tired today ;-)

    I didn't find the last side plate of the flaps: it seems a wedge plate 4x7. Any idea? Dave, please help.

    With all the photo on flicker along with your explanations I think I have a clear idea of the mods. Now I would look accurately at the panels for the rear hull angle mod, I would know wich pieces I need over the original ones I have. Thank you.

    I only experienced missing pieces and minifigure on sets sold as used complete; I checked the package as soon as arrived, then contacted the seller that after a month( he had to buy the pieces and minifigure) sent me the missimg parts. All the pieces were in very good condition as he stated before the purchase when I asked him.

    I'm considering this mod: what piece you think was used for the double bar for the steering axles of the flaps, it looks to me too short to be the bar used as sword that is 4 stud long (30374 on bricklink)?

    Anyone in Europe bricklinked 10212 for 400€ or lower? At this iprice I had the chance to buy it new so i'm considering if it is worth.

    I agree, I don't think they will release another 5000+ pieces set. Look at last sets released helicarrier, detective agency for example: maybe they are (relatively) limiting pieces count to increase playability and for keep low final price.

    This is the review i was waiting before buy the set: surprisingly I received PR yesterday for my birthday so now i'll judge building it ;-)

    Hunted House returned in stock yesterday evening for an hour (and I was lucky enough to grab one) and then was out of stock again. So till a product is retired there is always a chance it returns in stock.
