  1. Good job on this. I think it looks good, but is a little bare. Maybe you could put a dead tree or two it.
  2. Does the middle soldier have the head from the fitness instructor? I never thought I would see her in combat.
  3. This is definitely one of the most original MOCs I've seen in a long time. It flawlessly combines both natural and mechanical elements, and the end result is really good.
  4. When I went to TRU at about 7PM on Sunday of week one, they were out of ninjas, but the lady marked my receipt and said to come back in week two to get a forestman. My mom went today (without the set I bought) and got the forestman. She said they pretended that she returned the set (without her actually returning it), and then let her "buy" it back again and gave her the magnet. I thought they said no rain checks, but this works for me. :)
  5. Angry birds really is in everything now. These look nice, and I especially like the pig.
  6. I like how the boat has a wake in the LDD picture. Putting a few tiles, or even different colored plates behind the boat would improve this diorama a lot. Right now, I can't tell if the boat is going toward or away from an island. Also, the rower is facing the wrong way. When you row a rowboat, you sit with your back to were you are going, with your buddy telling you which way to steer. Hopefully this helps and it is a nice diorama.
  7. This sounds cool. What is the normal going rate for bricks at a LEGO store, and how much weight of bricks can fit in a cup? I wish that they opened this when I still lived in Alabama, and it would have only taken a couple of hours to get there. Oh well, it still sounds cool. I've never been to a Legoland but hopefully I will go someday.
  8. This guide is beautiful. The stream looks very realistic, and I had just bought a baggie of plant pieces that I have been itching to try out. Unfortunately, I don't have the trans blue plates, but I think my sister might have 2 from Belville. I'll have to borrow them from her.
  9. I was thinking of making a robot out of the larger one, but I never got around to it, and didn't have nearly as many as the smaller one. I'm glad you like this :) I like your use of these pieces as engines. I guess maybe they aren't as useless as one might think. I think a contest would be a cool idea. I'm sure nearly everybody on Eurobricks has some of these, and a lot of people would make something cool. I have also never seen that kind of rubber band holder. I wonder what it's from?
  10. I used this for the lip of the pipe I used a black one of these for the rest of the pipe I put a trans neon green 2x2 round brick in the pipe body and attached it with a TECHNIC axle. The lip fit snugly around the 2x2 round brick. I used mainly trans neon green 1x2 plates for the toxic goo. Hope this helps :)
  11. I know that lots of people have bunches of those useless pieces LEGO uses to hold rubber bands. But are they so useless? I got my inspiration for this robot while reading LEGO: A Love Story by Jonathan Bender. In the book, he talks about how things are priced on Bricklink. He says that rubber band holders are worthless, but will rise in cost if someone finds a way to use them. I accepted his challenge, and built this robot with a rubber band holder as the head. Right now, rubber band holders range from USD0.00 to USD1.36 on Bricklink. I think that this is one of my favorite MOCs that I have built. I hope you enjoy this, and get inspired to make your own MOCs with this part. Your constructive criticism is always welcome.
  12. This is an 8x8 vignette I made for the Collectible Minifigures Series 4 Hazmat guy. The pipe is spilling toxic sludge into the lake. It has killed all the plants on the shore, leaving it brown. It mutated something in the lake, causing those tentacles to appear. That's when the Hazmat guy was called in. This is one of my favorite vignettes that I have done. I had to use some SNOT building to get the tentacles in the vignette, then I had to use more SNOT to get the land on, and some more to put the pipe on. I hope you enjoy this, and constructive criticism is welcome.
  13. This is an 8x8 vignette I made for the Collectible Minifigures Series 3 Fisherman. I tried to show him happily fishing on an old pier that has fallen into disrepair, with some boards sticking out or fallen off. This is the third MOC that I've put on Eurobricks. I hope you enjoy it, and constructive criticism is welcome.
  14. This is a vignette I made for the Collectible Minifigures Series 2 Surfer. I tried to capture him running into the waves to start surfing. I had a third picture, but it wouldn't load on Brickshelf for some reason. This is the second MOC I've put on Eurobricks. I hope you enjoy it, and constructive criticism is welcome.
  15. The bottom of the basket looks really nice and curved. I think the Technic arms look perfect as the basket arm, and don't look out of place at all. My only criticism is that the flowers look too small for the basket. Maybe you could make some brick built flowers so that the flowers and basket are on the same scale. Otherwise, this looks very good.
  16. After fighting valiantly to rescue the treasures of Amset-Ra, Jake Raines is finally captured by the flying mummies. They lead him to their secret temple and are about to sacrifice Jake to appease their heathen gods. The arch of the temple. The temple from the side The back of the temple. I think it looks a little like a bird face, with the wheels as eyes and the slope as the beak. i didn't plan this while building it, but it does make sense seeing as the mummies are flying mummies and are wearing helmets that look like birds. I made this entire MOC out of pieces from 7307: Flying Mummy Attack. I didn't use any of the extra pieces. This is the first MOC I've put on Eurobricks and your constructive criticism is welcome.
  17. I like how you made the blackness coming out of the Horcrux. The whole thing evokes the scene in the book. My only complaint is the ground. Since this scene happens in the winter, shouldn't it be covered in snow?
  18. I bought the Atlantis deep sea raider yesterday at TRU for $9 off. Unfortunately, I didn't get the bricktober magnet.
  19. Those were given out during a promotion at the LEGO stores. You had to check in there with FourSquare, and they would give you the brick.
  20. I went to my TRU yesterday. They had to go to the back to get the set I wanted, and were out of the ninjas :(
  21. My area doesn't appear to have many AFOLs. Whenever I look for CMs, I usually find a whole box (or more), so hopefully they will have some in my area.
  22. Gotta cuff 'em all! I think black phantom looks kind of cool, but a bit too sparse. The other 3 villains look all right. I'm not really exited about the heroes.
  23. This is my entry. It is for the detective figure. It is the detective's cramped study from the 1800s. He is just starting out in his profession, so he is not that rich or prestigious and has to settle for a cramped, one room London apartment. The theme is history.
  24. I'd say get the $10 one. The impulse one only has a diver minifig and a fairly common seaweed, gold cup, and snake as interesting pieces, while the $10 one has a hammerhead warrior and a diver, as well as a shield that is exclusive to the set. It also has a lot of red slope pieces and 2 propellers in the new metallic grey color (although the impulse one also has the propellers, so that shouldn't be a deciding factor.
  25. I would have never thought of this. I was recently thinking of doing a MOC with water, so this technique could be really helpful. Unfortunately, I don't have one of those windows :(
