Why the Rainbow MOCs and did you do it?
soccerkid6 replied to Hrw-Amen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As a kid I always color-coordinated my builds, meant searching for the right pieces, but that just added to the fun. Usually built with my older brother and two younger brothers, me and my older brother did most of the building while my younger siblings looked for the pieces, in return we would build them a model -
Definitely like the footsteps Nice trees too
-
Great landscape, the SNOT rocks and angled plates for grass are top-notch Excellent border and fig posing too
-
The wood work is superb and I like the touch of color the windows give As said above, some plates or slopes added to the rockwork would make it look less blocky
-
Excellent use of your tower design, the bleak colors fit the scene well and I like how the tower is built into the rocks You did a good job with the irregular base as well
-
Good build, I too like the wooden supports for the second floor and the interior is well detailed Few suggestions: some gables would make your roof look much better, see this guide for what I mean: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=60907, I think a few stalks of grass in the landscape would add some more interest, a door for the balcony to keep the cold air out might be handy as well (I do like the balcony though). Keep up the good work

@Sir Edwyn: Woops, didn't realize you were still interested in building that Well I suppose other cities could have similar structures, I thought it would be a logical place for our characters to meet -

@ZC: That sounds like a very reasonable solution Here's a WIP pic of my build, should be pretty easy to tell what it is -

@Str0ngbad: 1. As Yooha said this is the topic that shows the map and locations of Mitgardia (though it has not been updated for a very long time): http://www.eurobrick...1 2.This topic has the official storyline of GoH, scroll down a bit to read the actual story: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=62242 3. I've done a bit with dwarves, happy to hear you will be as well, they are rather neglected in my opinion. Here are the topics of builds I've done concerning dwarves: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=70913/ http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=72294 http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=74382/ http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=75633/ There isn't too much official lore about them, they're quite common in Mitgardia with all its mountains, skilled craftsmen, pretty much the normal dwarve lore. 4. Nope, no limits, the better (higher quality) the build the more points you earn for Mitgardia. @Yooha: Welcome to Mitgardia! The walls of Valholl project is definitely worth contributing too, I'm working on a section now, as for using LDD for builds, I think it is allowed for free builds (will need to get ZC's opinion to be sure) but not for actual Challenge entries -
Excellent landscape, you are right about the orange, it works well on the river banks Excellent tree too, I may borrow that design
