Hyena Droid Bomber Being Rammed By Technic Truck
Derek replied to CloneCommanderDelta7's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That definately wasn't much of a review, and even if it was a comic, it really didn't have much of a story, no offense... -
BREAKING NEWS! New TT game announced for DS!
Derek replied to SkyOtic's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I believe that this is already in the Culture and Multimedia forum... -
Totals: 120 Sets (119 unique), 19,221 Parts, $1,847.5, 222 Minifigs. Only about $700 in the past year. Could have been worse I suppose... 222 Minifigs

4899 Farm Promo Polybag. It would pretty much make my day if they released that as a mainstream impulse set. -darthperson

I really like your Coke sign. There's another idea for City sets, Billboards. They could have different stickers so you can buy multiples. Nice work.

That pirate flag was random. Very impressive scene, those are quite the rebellious rebels!

Oh, God. Thinking about all of the money I spent on Lego is just depressing. Sometimes I don't want to think about it!

That is very odd. I know that Racers set was recently discounted, so either they have a bunch and are trying to get rid of them, or someone ordered a bunch of them, and their order just got confused with yours. I would love to be surprised with something like this, just not 24 ice cube trays!

I thought that it left too. Strange. A similar thing happened with the King's Castle a few weeks ago. It randomly came up on S@H saying "Not Available" and then was available for sale a few days later...

Awesome! The Power Miners color scheme works quite well, and you even managed to use some of the stickered pieces. Nice job! -darthperson

LUBE for pneumatics
Derek replied to furious's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the tip. When ever I see a word such as "Lube" with this group, I am wary about the possible contents to follow... -
That's nice. I'm pretty sure the Dropship is in the CW movie, they carried the AT-TE's to Teth. EDIT: Are the Ewoks new molds? They seem different than the original ones.

I agree with Skipper 24. However, I never realized that we got such a value in 2006, or that there were more sets than the other years. That was interesting, thanks for sharing.

I am really not trying to be a spoil-sport, or do the Mods job, I'm really not. But is it just me, or is this like the 3rd or 4th 10195 topic? Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to make one master topic for the set and merge all of the threads? Just an idea, I'm not saying you have to agree with it.

While you could be right, I think that that beam was put so the AT-TE could be picked up and handled easily (with your hands, not the Dropship). Perhaps, it they put it on the AT-TE for that reason, and lucked out when they decided to to the Dropship. Or they had it planned all along. What came first, the chicken or the egg?

Its already in the 2009 discussion topic. However, I honestly don't blame you for not wanting to sift through all of that, especially with all the hype from the past weekend. Thanks! I won't be surprised if this gets closed though...

Uh, why can't you afford that? 1. I doubt the CEO controls the liscenses and such. 2. If they did that, they would lose a LOT of sales. SW and Indy sell extremely well with the target (boys), and I'm sure that the company wouldn't gamble changing their focus to Disney. Little kid in store- "Hmmm. Darth Vader's TIE fighter, or Alice in Wonderland Tea party?" Galidor was barely Lego, , and Spiderman and Speed Racer were nice sets. The Spiderman ones ran their course, and I don't think that they were supposed to go on any longer than they did. I don't think that Speed Racer was ever meant to a full fledged theme, just a few, albeit nice, tie-ins with the movie (Which itself was a flop...)

For the hair, I think a blonde/tan ponytail would work perfectly and look nice. If you don't have one, there's one in the cheap City Minifigure Collection set.

It really should be $5 cheaper, to be the same as the Hailfire droid and Anakin's fighter. But, Lego knows people would buy it and that they can get away with tacking an extra 5 bucks on it... No, it shouldn't. It may be a little overpriced, but not that much. Sure, it may be small-ish, but you'd be surprised. Those tread pieces take up a lot of the total.

1) Tower Raid- Great set, fantastic value, cool figures. It could have easily had been $10 more. I would reccomend this set to anyone looking for a good Castle set. 2) Dwarves Mine- I don't own it, but I really think that anyone would be happy with this. 3) Market Village- Don't have this either, but hope to get it eventually. All new figures, cool buildings, AND a turkey. What more could you want? 4) Either of the impulse sets (Troll and knight)- A little steep in price, but one of the cheapest ways to build an army and get some cool accessories 5) Dwarve's Mine Defender- A really nice cheap set, with 2 troll figures and a dwarf. This is the cheapest way to get dwarves, so I reccomend it. It has some nice pieces as well, such as dark brown 1x4 slopes, and 2 chains. I would steer clear of the Skeleton Prison Tower, unless you see it on sale. I got it for $12.48 (75% off! ) and I was really glad that I didn't pay MSRP for it. It has a terrible parts to price ratio, and the set is rather childish as well. Some of the good parts are the Wizard and Princess figures. Hope this helps.

Simply put, Its not classic Castle. I personally have no problem with the sets, but I'm not a huge fan of the big figures... I have the big Vladek castle, and it really is a nice set. It is very similar to the style of the current Castle line, and I like it very much.
-
It will. Most other exclusives, especially the espensive ones, like this, are sold for a couple years...
-
I don't get it.
-
I don't know if I would call them spare, they are kind of crucial to the set...
