  1. Ah! I love this so much! It makes me want Lego to do a promotion with Pizza Hut! The decals are so nice, especially that menu (?). The thing attached to the tan brick with the bar, it it suposed to be a salad? I love this Great work!
  2. I like this, I hope we eventually get a small set with her in it (like this). Nice job.
  3. Well, I suppose lopsided boobs could be counted as realistic as some sort of oddity. This looks nice, if you are willing to adjust the curvature of the torso it would be even better. The head looks nice though, I disagree about it being un-feminine. I think the lack of lipstick or eyebrows makes it unique from Lego's "sexist" usual depiction. (And I use sexist very, VERY loosely, I really dont think Hinckley wants this to turn into another "Offensive Stereotype" topic..." Nice work.
  4. I rarely buy Lego at Kmart. The one near me is ALWAYS trashed, and barely have any Lego. The only times I remember buying Lego there was when they had the Agents sets while I was shopping for something else. I bought the small $10 one because I couldn't find it elsewhere. The other time was when they had the City Fireboat for $25.
  5. I think it is the same price as the Lost Temple and River Chase.
  6. Looks quite different, but I really like them!
  7. If you were talking to me about the Pirate Tank, I think it will be $30, $40 tops. The box size is comparable to other $30 sets, and it has 370 something pieces. I hope Lego will be nice and give us a good deal like this for a change.
  8. Really guys, you complain that we get the same figures and whatnot, and now you are complaining that we don't get Han and Chewbacca? I swear Lego fans can always find something wrong about something good... I think they are both very nice sets, and will probably get them. I am looking to the Pirate Tank more, however. I have my fingers crossed for a $30 price and new molds for the pirates.
  9. I don't know if any of you have seen or heard of this sci-fi/medical/action show Fringe on FOX. I first watched it when it premiered in September, and I've been hooked since. If any one else watches it, I would love to have a discussion here. -darthperson
  10. I seriously can't believe we're actually having this conversation....
  11. I agree with this. Its not meant to be a totally serious theme, its just supposed to be fun. It just seems weird to see something so serious that could be in an R rated movie, using these characters. I mean how many hardcore action movies do you see with villians like Breakjaw? I was hoping for something like you're Batman one.
  12. Typically, when one refers to "Americans", they mean someone who lives in the United States. I personally think this should be closed. It was a joke to begin with, and its only going further downhill...
  13. Perhaps the aliens in the sets are just the bad guys of alien civilization. There can be other normal aliens, but these are just the ones the police are going after. When have we seen a civilian in a CITY police set?
  14. I think I almost had an OCD attack (such a thing?) just THINKING about doing that... The Mon Calamari set is quite nice, and may get it if it isn't too expensive. I seriously rather sets like this as opposed to large ships.
  15. Wow. I am quite emabarassed about my first post. From back when I still was 'darthperson8'... I am really surprised I spelled that terrible! And didn't capitalize and punctuate! And now I'm a stickler for all of those things. What an embarassment.
  16. I guess I see what you mean, but the Crown soldiers have archers too. But maybe the green is a hint...
  17. I think that the sets and figures are great. I don't know whats so bad about the Mon Cal set, I think its great. I'd rather something like that rather than the whole ship.
  18. That's old. From 2004 or 2005 I think. I have no idea why its on S@H, maybe to replace Kings Castle Siege? Anyway, nice find.
  19. Look at the new Space Police figures. They have amazing detail on the new heads.
  20. They both are. Thanks for the comments.
  21. I have added three more Office figures to the first post, Kevin, Jan and Holly, two of which I will use for my next vig based on a funny scene. Any guesses as to which two? And a bonus- Mike's Women... Thanks for looking.

    City '09?

    I never said anything....
  23. Wow. Those all look great. I am glad they kept this line, and didn't get rid of it. My observations/opinions- 1) I guess that whoever said that about the civilian minifigs was right. They really look nice with their nifty new torsos and zombification. Where is Trace? I see a new female agent in the helicopter, but no Trace. Maybe its just her with a haircut. 2) Oh wait! She retired from the agent business to a quiet life. That is until Dr. Inferno got all up in his new pimpin' mech and went and scooped her up! 3) The Irina Spalko hairpiece looks wierd in red. 4) All of these are in an urban setting, instead of remote locations. Thanks for the pics.
  24. Nice set. Looks to be about the same price as the Hoth Base (Not the new one). I will consider buying it, even though I have an A-Wing. Lego was very generous with the figures. We didn't need Lando or Madine.
  25. Thanks for the news, but this is already in the 2009 thread.
