  1. That's true. We have had Quirrel, Lockhart, Lupin, Mad-Eye, and Umbridge. I've never noticed that pattern before. I'm hoping these sell tremendously well and we get a wave 2 with updates of Sirius, Lupin, Wormtail, Neville, Mad-Eye and new figures of Slughorn, Tonks, Fred and George, Cedric, Bill and Fleur... How awesome would a Shell Cottage set be? Also, I'm surprised that Dumbledore hasn't been updated since Goblet of Fire... -darthperson
  2. Just had a thought- Perhaps this torso will be in the new City Family Home set? I think torsos are rarely (if ever?) used in basic sets without being used elsewhere. I doubt they would create an all new print just for a brick bucket... -darthperson
  3. Hmmmm?
  4. I was browsing on Brickshelf and I saw an interesting new torso. I went and looked for it on Bricklink, and came across this figure. It must be recent, because it has the new 2010 girl face... Any ideas of which set it's in? Thanks! -darthperson
  5. I don't quite understand what is going on in the Freeing Dobby box art...
  6. Remember that crawler vehicle that we saw from the Finnish (?) Lego site? I think that it was supposed to come with the scorpion (and have the 4-- pieces), and they probably took it out and forgot to change the piece count. There is no way that scorpion has upwards of 400 pieces... However, I do hope they put that crawler in another set, it was nice...
  7. I was just looking at the picture and I realized that the witch figure would be really easy to feel for with its big slope skirt piece + big hat + broom
  8. Thanks for the pic. It seems like each of these series has a dud, and I'm assuming they are going to be the common ones... For series 1, its the diver. For series 2, its the "Traffic Cop" and the explorer... I am nonetheless going to try to get all of them. I can't tell, does the pop star have a new hair piece? It looks it, but it also seems similar to the princess one we have now...
  9. So Indy in KOTCS? All of these figures are absolutely superb, however, I think Snape's head is a step back. The one from OOTP was perfect and would be nice with this hair... An update for Hagrid would have been nice, but you can't have everything... I really wasn't expecting Filch or Flitwick, but they are welcome nonetheless. Mcgonagall is The Weasley's are fantastic, however, I don't see Ron in the Burrow set. I hope he is in the final version... Fenrir and Bella were unexpected as well and are on their own level of awesomeness. I am surprised how accurate they got Bella's hair! She really looks insane! I really hope Luna has a reversible head, if she doesn't, I will be bummed out. The glasses head is nice, but a normal one would be better. The small Dobby set is rather boring, but will be a must buy for the figures... I almost wish they would have given Lucius a different hair, like the new Prince of Persia one in tan... All the accessories (Printed owls , magazines, newspapers, food, TURKEY, animals) and figures and sets! So much to take in! 2010 is going to be a tough year to budget! There is not one of these sets I do not want to buy! -darthperson
  10. Did any one else notice the piggy in the Burrow? He's in the little pen next to the kitchen. Also, I'm lovin' the catapults in the Burrow set for Fenrir and Bella. I mean, who would use Dark Magic when they are provided with the latest Lego catapult innovation? -darthperson
  11. Snape Battlepack! I was going to comment on that. Out of all these figures, I think he is the one I'm most surprised to see. By no means am I complaining, it will be nice to have as many official figures as possible. I wonder if he and Lucius Malfoy have new hair? I love the little dark tan Mrs. Norris too! Also, In the castle, who is the dark brown haird guy (maybe with glasses?) that is sitting at the table with the cake? That turkey has this set sold for me. (And I dont care if its on the ground! ) I love sets with tons of accessories, and this one does not disappoint. The foldability of this will make for some nice display options. I am kinda bummed about that too. He is one of my favorite characters, and appears to be one of the only major ones left out. I'm holding out for more waves with him, Sirius, Lupin, Tonks, Mad-eye etc... The only set I'm kinda bummed about is the Dobby one. All it really looks like is an archway. I will still no doubt get it for completion and the unique figures, but it still is disappointing... I'm also kinda upset that Luna comes in the train. I wasn't planning on buying that, but now I guess I have to... Does anyone have a price for that one? I'm excited for these! It was worth the wait for pics! -darthperson
  12. I think I would do some very bad things to obtain the City, Rescue, vehicle and airport sets.
  13. As much as I want her to have a new face, it's the one she had in the OOTP castle and, from what I can tell, the video game... So I wouldn't exactly be shocked if she had the "groggy" head...
  14. ...when you go into a store for something (non-Lego) and end up buying a small (or big ) set on impulse because you can't leave without Lego...
  15. AHHHH! I can't believe how excited I am for this! I swear I am going to buy every single one of those Harry Potter Sets! With Lego's recent trend of excellent licensed figures, I am so excited to see the new versions! Another thing I am glad of is that the sets don't seem to be too movie/conflict based. Sure, the story is great, but I think it will be nice to just have some general sets from the Harry Potter universe . While the story is rich in itself, I think its great to have some sets that aren't completely recreations of exact movie scenes. You know what I mean??? I am soososo excited to see pictures of these! -darthperson
  16. Who ever said it was going to be a warrior? When I saw "roman" I thought toga... And I hope the 70's guy has a handlebar mustache and a recolor of the clown wig for an afro
  17. I also think its possible that the car will be included with the Burrow... Considering they don't want to be movie specific, putting the car in the Hogwarts Express would make it a Chamber of Secrets set. However, putting it with the Burrow would make sense, as it is where it technically belongs... Ginny with new hair sounds promising, I just hope that they have Molly and Arthur as well. I really don't mind if the twins aren't included, but they would be nice. I'm guessing Harry, Ron, Ginny, Molly and Arthur for the figure lineup (However, I wouldn't mind no Harry and strictly Weasly's! I'm guessing we will see a few new hairpieces in dark orange! ) . -darthperson
  18. I love this topic. I stopped reading the Lego.com mesasge boards years ago...they are bombarded by kids who post random stuff and there is no fluid conversation...Here are a few of my favorite tidbits... Regarding the "RAREST STAR WARS PIECE"- I swear kids covet anything gold. Here's one about the 2010 sets- Tsk Tsk. Those careless magazine editors. Selections from a topic called "WHO IS THE MOST EVIL BAD GUY IN INDIANA JONES?" And lastly, a conversation in the "RAVENWOOD TAVERN" I don't even think I skimmed the surface. -darthperson

    City 2010

Every year there are special edition sets this size and pricepoint, and they are usually holiday season exclusives to Target in the US...
  20. M is for Minifigures silly! But seriously, I need these. Even if these are $2 a pop (which I hope they are) I will be broke... Why are these plastic pieces so addicting???? -darthperson
  21. I bought it for about $20 when it was on sale in November...I think its an average set. However, I think you should make your decision soon, because it probably won't be around long for much longer. I wasn't a huge fan of it at first, but I'm glad to have one of the most iconic vehicles of the movies. I think you should buy it. -darthperson
  22. Thanks for the review! This looks to be a promising set for me! I love the random usage of the pilot in my avatar in the top corner of the back of the box! A pilot shouting "HEY!" was random enough on the Seaplane, but a fuel tanker??? Thanks for sharing! -darthperson
  23. Well Andrew is posting it again. I personally wouldn't have seen it if he hadn't, and I think it's pretty cool and makes a statement. Thanks for sharing!
  24. Here are somethings I've noticed about that mysterious door- -It's clear (You can see the gold knob on the otherside) -There are two arches at a corner outside of it. -There also seems to be a white light fixture (white faucet and dish) outside of the door. So I am assuming that it is some sort of strange back door... The baseplate is tan, so I am a bit bummed out that it isn't green like the others I'm really looking forward to getting this! I will order it as soon as it goes on S@H, Green Grocer got me hooked on these!
  25. Two Words. Cafe. Corner. Sorry, but the interior just doesn't live up to the others and that's partly what makes the modulars great for me.
