[MOC] 2-axle passenger wagon in 1/32 scale (gauge 1)
LL1982 replied to Sven J's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thanks. Yeah I am testing that now. What is still feasible on fixed and pulling it over R40. Our table is not that big, so I need to keep R40 curves. -
[MOC] 2-axle passenger wagon in 1/32 scale (gauge 1)

Looks great. Are these axles fixed? I got some issues with moving axles and a single axle making cars derail at switches. -
Wow nice build in such a compact form. Like the SNOT and upside down building stuff. 6wide is not easy I also noticed.

12V system... but for the PFs (and not only)
LL1982 replied to Gabry Check's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Yeah sorry, mistyped that one a bit. I meant with the BT trains (the new trains). -
Collection this, or still have it working, is enough achievement. I always spent time at old skool city / 12v layouts at conventions. There is something about this that just draws you in. Something that lego (or we) lost with the new stuff. Yes it is al prettier, but it lost a lot on playability and this vibe. I really like how it looks and all works together. I would maybe add a freight line right to the docks for a train.

Looks very nice, not 100% my train style. But definitly something I would consider when I see the BDP. Would be nice to have a more modern unit compared to the steam versions I saw last.

I like the looks of the locomotive. Also the three axle boogie.

12V system... but for the PFs (and not only)
LL1982 replied to Gabry Check's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Wow cool system, indeed the 12v age had some pretty sweet play features. Nice to see this combined with the new bluetooth. -
That is a nice idea to create a backdrop for the tudor. It nicely fits the image. Like how you made the acces to the top floor like this.

Nice, like how it looks. Indeed BL can be a pain in shipping. I've bought a cheap not complete trainset of marktplaats (saw your Dutch) to get the motor and hub for my train. Way cheaper and for the rest old bricks and maybe a few BL orders to complete it. But still in the end I guess the train will still cost 100+ for a 2 sections. Good that you kept the playability, need that to at home. Minifigs needs to move from left to right.

Nice, I am also trying out a 6w moc for a regular train based off this set. I am actually going for a stop train as that fits better with my city. Though for the nose of the eurostar I would look into the green speed train lego has. That feels more TGV to me. I like how you opted for the 2x2 windows (i guess thats the size). Ive been struggling on scale vs reality myself. You it to get the look and feel but needs to fit in a certain lego city like scale. What did you do for the doors?

Nice, like these 6w design. Especially the gas cylinders is a nice take on design it as such.

Agreed with you on that. I also put love it only on the sets I would want to buy. The rover was also on my list and a few buildings. I found this round having lots of stuff that is totally not that interesting or inspiring enough to justify a BL price tag. Took me a while to get to interesting designs while flipping through the pages.

Or buy an alternative brand baseplate and cut that one? Or buy a 2nd hand plate cheap somewhere and just cut it.

The hotel because I own it, but for looks parisian comes very close or maybe closer after I get one. ;) I do have to say I would like to own the brickbank and detective office because I have the feeling the stories of it are great. Maybe that would alter my ranking.

LL1982 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I heard one youtubber mention the embargo on the modular was december 4th. Guess there will be shitloads of movies then. Makes sense after black friday etc. Official announcement not much later, creator video and then pre-order :D -
Looks very nice, also that colour strip inside your high window arches. Interesting idea.

I like this style. Great corner usage. Also very nice internal details all around.
