Ha-How-How dare you. You seem to have confused us with Blacktron II. No clue. Communications have been disrupted. -

Fascinating to see the explosive, wide range of reactions from this forum. Again, I’m down for a Spider-Verse CMF, but I do wish we could get so many other Marvel characters included as well. Mobius and God of Stories Loki will be hard losses for me should they never see the light of day. Maybe doing it this year wasn’t the right choice. Nevertheless, I’m thrilled that a series of beloved movies of mine are finally getting LEGO’s notice after seven (seven, wow) whole years. I personally am into Marvel for the wide range of heroes and villains, even regardless of how familiar I am with them. My hope for a Spider-Verse CMF is to maximize the amount of characters we have from the Spider-Verse trilogy. Obviously Miles and Gwen will be included, but hopefully the former will be his ItSV look, green jacket or otherwise, while the latter I hope will be in her casual outfit, a look which has at least gained a Funko Pop. On a personal note, I know several of my immediate family would be thrilled to get Hobbie Brown or Pavitr as LEGO Minifigures. I can’t say I’m unhappy about that. -

A Spider-Verse CMF would be the way to go, in my opinion. So many different characters, yet, aside from a Alchemx Collider, Prowler’s or Jessica Drew’s respective bikes, or the Subway, there aren’t many buildable items from those movies. Plus, a CMF budget for the figures would allow for greater detail and new molds. As long as I get a location set in which to display them all, I think a CMF would be the most ideal for Spider-Verse fans. I believe BTSV is still slated for 2025, so that Miles can be Spider-Man 4. -

(Thanks, mate. Totally didn’t think of that until now.) Oh, but of course! I absolutely had that in mind the entire time. That means I have Hydra from the movies, the Sith, basically everyone in the Matrix, the Uncanny X-Men (OG appearance), the FoX-Men (including variants!), Mara Jade (Ha), Black-suited Superman, Shadow ARF… What if I told you that Man has been working for us this entire time? He’s been aiding our inevitable comeback, adding large black vehicles with incredible firepower… A) What about a complicated plan to gain dominion over Nekron? What was the leaked image? I would, but Blacktron has cookies. It was moreso an inside joke where I keep complaining to our British inmates about their country’s actions in the War of 1812. It wasn’t supposed to be directed toward you specifically, my apologies. -

Y’all be stealing my favourite characters away from me. You be killing me, Smalls. Fine. I’ll recruit the coolest looking glup in town. Darth Malgus. He’s basically Darth Vader on steroids, and he’s got an army of Darth Vader-fanboy-troopers. I need more reinforcements, though. Hmm… Say, CloneCommando, tolerable old acquaintance of mine. Totally unrelated to what I said above, but any chance you could pass along the Black Lantern Corps’ number to me? Oh, I just need some guys for the Iceberg Lounge, is all. -

My friend, it is not a simple matter of good or evil. Every side has good points, every man has good intentions. How those are executed, or how short-sighted the actions are, is what defines better or worse. Except pineapple on pizza: that’s just straight up evil. Anyway, Blacktron is here to help, not hinder. Wouldn’t you like to never have to worry about what to wear? to never have to make the difficult choice of who you want to work for? Blacktron will help you find peace in the darkness, in the black… And if you use my referral code, JusticeFor1814, (I mean, did WE burn down any of your British cities? Did WE take your citizens into military service? No, I didn’t think so.) you can save a full 25% off on any purchase of mandatory Blacktron merch, and a portion of your proceeds will go back to pay yours truly’s rent. Okay, that’s just cruel, but I know of a solution: I’ll simply lay claim to the physics of Wile E. Coyote: the principle of what you don’t know won’t hurt you—just don’t look down. -

Hope you’re right. I’m definitely feeling more hyped for Thunderbolts* (forgot about that astrex) after this trailer. An R-rating would make it a skip for me, (I say that as someone who thinks of CA:TWS as a comfort movie,) as I’m sure many other people would, as you mentioned. That said, it could make sense for Marvel to lean into an R-rating. Not only does it open the door for “creative freedom,” (bah humbug, I say!) but an R-rating would differentiate the film from Brave New World, which releases 3 months earlier. Basically, we’ve got two grounded, darker-toned films starring super-soliders back to back. It could make sense to make TB* a dark comedy more akin to D&W. The only solid reason I’d wager for TB* being R-rated is that Yelana blatantly says the S-word in full, when before Marvel has been careful to playfully censor that word in their trailers (an example of this happens almost literally ten seconds before). Reminds me of the marketing for D&W, but it could just be that I’m overthinking it. Film’s not yet rated, anyway. It’d be a cryin’ shame if LEGO skipped this movie simply because they didn’t think it’d do well. The fact that it’s a team of side characters plays against it, but it’s got a fun energy and realness that even BNW lacks. I hope the movie is a success, proving that the interconnected universe concept still works. I’ll keep hope there’s just a lack of info and that TB* sets will come later on next year. I’d adore a Red Guardian minifig (not willing to pay $60 for him, though). Lol, it’s just me intentionally butchering the names of the Thor films, which I’m committed to doing until the day I die. The full list includes: Thor: The First Thor, the aforementioned Thor: The Dark Thor, Thor: Ragnathork, and Thor: Love and Thornder. Can’t wait for the reveal of the fifth Thor movie’s title! (If we ever get Thor 5… :/) -

Thor: The Dark Thor and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (that guy, he’s so cool) would like a word. Edit: Okay, that was your point, so fair enough. Y’know, that What If…? S3 trailer finally convinced me on a Voltron-style mech LEGO set. Thunderbolts also looks like a lot of fun. I’m certain it’ll be R-rated, which is the only reason I can see for LEGO skipping the film. Disappointing, for sure. -
Love the MOC! If this was the 2024 LEGO set, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. …which leads me to my first of 200,000 corrections (with a million well on the way): I would be hyped for an Aslume set, but I’m not for a $400 Asylum. Mainly, it comes down to the potential minifigs in either hypothetical. Second! “Enigmatic” - difficult to interpret or understand; mysterious (according to New Oxford). I stand by the former interpretation, given my vocabulary and my erratic behavior online, but the latter? I don’t have that much mystery about me, but you do you. Third! …yeah, I’ve not done much to warrant a sentence, as was established when I tried being Man for a minute there. Fourth! the sword is inaccurate! It must be a samurai sword because that was all was available on LEGO Life when I created my avatar and persona that would become the Swordy of Eurobricks. Fifth! uh, through Two-Hundred-Thousandth! Everyone else looks great, the little details are brilliant, and the greebling of the build is immaculate. Appreciate all the references to our lore. Not a correction, but it covers pretty much everything else I have to say. Great job!

The Blacktron II guys are nerds, a total different operation. Although they still pack a punch in their infantry, we never invited them. They’re only tagging along because the Alien Villainess told us they had to. Still, the point stands that they know who’s going to win (Blacktron) and have chosen their allegiances wisely. We have become more than space pirates, for no one can’t stop us. We are a symbol! (Go back up a few dozen pages for a more detailed manifesto of mine.) We’ll give Dummy free rein to demolish whatever in the new order. Is that fair? As for Mara, I like her—in a purely platonic way! As long as she stays as Cloud City, I’ve promised she won’t be a problem. (Okay, that is in the running for quote of the year.) Ha, you think we’re evil? I mean, sure, that’s our branding, but honestly we just want to make everyone wear black spacesuits everywhere and colour their windows yellow. Like dude, Blacktron’s totally chill. You should like, join it, or something. Freedom, ha. Is not [subjugation] simpler? Is this not our natural state? It’s the unspoken truth of humanity that we crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom diminishes your lives’ joy in a mad scramble for power; for identity. We were made to be ruled. In the end, you all will wear black. You know why? BECUZ I’M BATMAN. Last time some guy said that, he got a pretty wicked, albeit painful, costume change. -

Who says we like at Blacktron I like our dorky younger brother? They just have a better idea of who’s coming out on top when our conquest is complete. We could’ve been great allies, CloneCommando. Had you stayed with the Black Lanterns, with our alliance, we could’ve wrought peace to the galaxy—why, the universe! Alas, our paths have diverged, which disappoints me. I can’t spare all of you from subjection; I’ve only managed arrangements for Mara Jade, and I’m currently negotiating for Dummy, though communications keep breaking between the three of us. To the rest of you, I give one word: Prepare. -

How likely is it that we get something other than MCU shows in the CMF series? Trust me, I want Mobius and Loki from Loki S2 too. (Wiccan deserves a mention too.) That said, after seeing a few customs online, I’d adore minifigs of Silver Age Iron Man or Captain America, utilizing a CMF budget to fully realize those characters straight from the comics. Unlikely, I know, given poor sales of the DC CMF. Basically, I’d like to know: how unlikely is a Marvel Comics CMF? If it were a Fortnite CMF, I doubt we’d get any characters beyond Fortnite skins of Iron Man and Cap. There’s not much marketability in the other characters besides a diehard Marvel fans; in which case, just do another Marvel CMF. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Blacktron II is coming later in the year, according to a_clay_brick. I fully expect a GWP, the reasons for which I’ll refer to my previous post in this thread. The GWP in January will be a modular GWP, undoubtedly, but who knows what will come later on in 2025. Remember that we were aware of the Blacktron Crusier GWP as nearly as far back as when the Galaxy Explorer hit shelves, and of Majisto’s Workshop in early 2023. This could entirely be a fluke, I’ll concede, in which case I’ll take the fault for proclaiming the news without checking my sources. Trans-neon green, although iconic to Blacktron II, doesn’t seem as necessary as trans-neon orange is to Ice Planet. Trans-bright green is less vibrant, sure, but that fits better with the stealth aspect of Blacktron as a whole. Either that, or, in an extremely unlikely scenario, LEGO will simply bring back trans-neon green next year. I highly, highly doubt this would be the case, but speculation never hurt anyone. -

I’ve received intel from higher up that Blacktron I AND II are coming next year… So, anyone wanna make an alliance before your impending doom? I need a good excuse for why I’ve been hanging around an Aslume this whole time. Very interesting! I wasn’t expecting both in the same year. If only we could get a Blacktron III theme too… If I had to guess, Blacktron II could be a GWP in June or August, not too dissimilar to Forestman’s Hideout. That’d make sense: Blacktron II has a great many fans, but I don’t think it’s as iconic as Blacktron I. So, release the latter as a fully-realized playset, then use the hype of Blacktron II’s return, combined with the fear of missing out, to maximize profits across the board. It’s anti-consumer, and it’s genius. -

I think this is the moment that I realize I’m not as big of a DC fan as I thought I was. A $400 Arkham sounds… boring? Definitely prefer it over the Shadowbox, but a $160 or $200 playset sounds more appealing to me. Especially if it’s just 10 minifigs… unless it’s this Aslume’s cast, I’m kind of uninterested. (I need a Demo Dummy, Mandaloriatron, Brickheadz Kallus [wait a minute], GreenCloneLantern, Darth Brickbob, THELEGOBATMAN as Supes, Turtle, LEGOed Man, and a couple others before I would ever need a Catwoman in prisoner garb.) I’ll have to wait until I see pictures before I can pass judgement. Wake me up from stupidity when a movie-accurate Supes starts flying (like a bee). I’ll do you one even better: the other 8 will have encountered a spider and/or a man before they arrived at Arkham (or in your LEGO box). -

I’d love Poe’s Black One and either a FO TIE or Transporter to go against it next year. A new Kylo Ren’s shuttle at playset scale would’ve been great too next year if not for the rumored midiscale one. Rey’s Speeder was my first LSW set ever, although it’d be years before I actually appreciated the SW connection. A remake would be a full-circle moment for me. By the way, Kylo’s helmet, whichever version, is a must have for me. -

In my opinion, Andor has become essential viewing. It gives modern, Star Wars-only viewers the reason why ANH was and still is special. Andor represents the dark, gritty sci-fi that plagued the 70s. It was the Star Wars that brought back hope, fun, unbridled adventure, with optimism for the future in cinema. People don’t watch THX-1138 when watching Star Wars for the first time, though they should for understanding the tone shift Star Wars brought about. Andor is a perfect encapsulation of the Dark Times, the oppressive, depressing and bitter era that George created to reflect the world in which audiences in 1977 lived. To the people who say that Andor is too dark, too adult to be Star Wars, you’re right. Nonetheless, if not for things like Andor, Star Wars would never exist. In a poetic way, Andor is the reason for Rogue One, and Rogue One is the reason for A New Hope. I’d love if someone watched Star Wars starting with Andor. Not little kids, obviously, (Rebels would be my pick for them) but adults watching for the first time. I guess I’ll share my current (keyword: current) ranking of the Star Wars films/shows before the rancor checks in again. Time to make some enemies! 1. The Empire Strikes Back 2. Return of the Jedi 3. A New Hope 4. The Force Awakens 5. Revenge of the Sith 6. The Last Jedi 7. The Rise of Skywalker 8. Rogue One 9. The Phantom Menace 10. Attack of the Clones 11. The Clone Wars Movie 999. The Star Wars Holiday Special As for the shows, my top five includes: Clone Wars, The Clone Wars, The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, and Rebels. Ahsoka and Andor would be close, though. I could write up an explanation for each choice, but that’d be way too long for anyone else to read, lol. I believe that, overall, I value good quality characters in whom I’m invested; to whom I either look up or on whom I reflect myself and see my downfalls and strengths. I love parallels between other films, deepening the connection more than just a title or Episode number. I like good visuals, but I prefer tactile environments and set pieces. Most of all, though, I want to be entertained, and that comes through sound storytelling as much as a feel good story. I once had a rare minifigure… Mando in Beskar armour from 75299. Truly a great minifig, a prized minifig of mine. You can imagine my reaction when I found out he was coming in more sets. Why, I was overjoyed! I could now get more Mando minifigs to replace the one that was weathered from being carried around in my pocket. Even though that minifig’s value has decreased significantly compared to its initial value, I still appreciate that minifig for its beautiful design. So again, do you appreciate what you have, or what others don’t have? -

In the spirit of pitting Sam Wilson against another hero’s villains and America against her real world allies, Captain America 5 will end with a battle against the Black Knight where Buckingham Palace and all of London is burned to the ground. 🔥 Justice for 1814! Don’t forget Moana 2, which is certified to be a masterpiece since they originally pitched it as a Disney Plus series. -

I believe that because no one is upset about timeline issues that TESB is a perfect film. The only reason why people (like just now) complain about continuity issues in TLJ is because that film failed to connect to half of its audience (more or less half, still). The beauty of a film is when you forget that it’s a film, and you’re just along for the journey. I adore TESB; it’s my favourite Star Wars film, and maybe even my favourite film of all time. Yes, we always should strive to be better, yet there’s a special magic to that film, such that, unless the stars realign again, nothing can or will replace that film. However, I can only offer my opinion as an unabashed lover of TESB. By the way, while I’m in this vein of discussion, I put TFA above RotS, albeit barely. (TFA is #4, RotS #5, in my ranking.) One is simply more enjoyable to me than the other. TFA is frustrating as the seventh installment in the Skywalker Saga, reversing everything accomplished in the sixth and reverting all the OT characters to how they started in ANH, but Daisy as Rey and John as Finn still warm my heart. Again, there’s a special air to that film, an eagerness, that can’t be replicated. RotS isn’t a bad film, and an amazing piece of connecting tissue between the PT and the OT; it’s just not as enjoyable, that’s all. I really hope more than a second Andor set next year. We need, need, a Fondor. (I especially need a Fondor since I, in my great wisdom, skipped the Ambush on Ferrix set, and I’m sorely lacking a Luthen Rael.) A Partisan X-Wing would’ve been a great way to get Two-Tubes and Saw. I’d adore a Narkina V diorama with Kino (ONE WAY OUT!). Anything more with Andor would be fantastic in my book. Y’know, it’s ironic that, for all of the truly great female characters Andor introduced, we’ve gotten only male characters from Andor. Dedra, Bix, and Vel are only the few names of the top of my head. I’d love a Maarva minifig, as incredibly unlikely that is. I’m not saying to take away the characters we do have, but that we simply need more. -

Seems like a half-baked effort to me. The hair piece that’s being used for Sam wouldn’t cover the other side of the head, and it’s not at all accurate to his non-helmeted look, as Classic Spaceman pointed out. An extra head should’ve been included for both Falcons, I maintain. -

Ah. I thought the buildable figure was a bigger point of discussion than it actually was. My bad. The helmet’s for supersonic travel, which I assume is being used in this mission. We can’t have Cap getting bugs in his teeth, lol. (I don’t know if this is necessarily the oversea dogfight from the trailer; I see a skyline underneath them.) I see what y’all are saying about the covering of his face being nefarious, though. Past Sam Wilson Captain America figures have shown the face. Maybe someone in corporate management wants to make sure that the kids who don’t know Sam will just pretend it’s Steve Rogers, which is pretty horrible, in my opinion. I could rant, but I’d go way off topic if I do. Maybe I will sometime in the Asylum. I’ll keep hope that Sam’s head and hair are included, just not advertised. (I also need Joaquin Torres’s head and hair, while we’re talking about it.) I think LEGO can and will try to get away with not including it, though. Wasn’t it heavily implied that the Winter Solider was partially an agent for the Soviets as well as Hydra, or that Hydra was dissolved into Soviet Russia? I thought that was what the red star on Bucky’s arm meant. I’d actually pay millions to see that in a Marvel movie. @CloneCommando99, prepare to see Buckingham and all of London burn! 🔥 Justice for 1814! -
