  1. I’m curious if we able to rewind the clock back to early 2016 and see how well those original Force Awakens sets sold. Similarly, how well did the Clone Wars sets of 2013 sell? What about the sells of those sets compared to the Attack of the Clones sets? In fact, do any sets ever sell as well as you seem to believe they should? (75280 maybe.) If LEGO had anticipated large demand, and they actually produced enough to meet that demand, perhaps the demand has been sufficed? In theory, just because a set warms the shelves for a time doesn’t mean it’s a shelf warmer. The only sets that consistently aren’t moving off shelves even after the Christmas rush are the 4+ sets. I’m a fan of most of the sets you mentioned, so I am biased toward defending them. However, then I wind up being no different than those who wanted Acolyte sets despite an obvious lack of general demand. Thus, I will concede that perhaps love has blinded me in this case.
  2. Well then, you’re forgetting Romulus, who in most legends killed Remus because Romulus hated playing hopscotch and couldn’t take a joke.
  3. I’ll wait and see on Acolyte Season 2. It’s too early to see if Deadline’s report will prove true or not. That said, I don’t believe a lot of people watched Acolyte to care enough about it. Maybe the numbers were so bad that Iger had to cut it this short? Either way, this news does hurt chances of any Acolyte sets, and for that I think LEGO was wise to skip it. People (okay, one YouTuber in particular, but I’ll refrain from saying his name) always make the case for every single movie he or she enjoys to feature a LEGO set. I’ve come to the conclusion that not everything deserves, much less requires, an official LEGO set. If it happens, hooray for the film’s fans. If not, then create your own build to celebrate that film you enjoy. I don’t need an Elite TIE Defender from Rebels as much as someone else needs a MBS Geonosis from Episode 2. We each like what we like, and we’re appreciative of what we do get. Concerning the discussion on Andor S2 sets, I expect one if at all; two if we’re extremely lucky. A Fondor at $150 or a U-Wing at $140—if the U-Wing even shows up. *laughs in Jedi Vector cameo* I can see the argument for a buildable B2EMO or K2-S0, but I cling to the hope that we’ll get two playsets instead. Andor has its fans, and they increase every day, but I doubt most of them are the type of fan who’ll buy the merchandise for that show. Correct me if I’m wrong, though. Given that LEGO hasn’t returned to Rogue One since 2017, I doubt we’d get a return in 2025. That said, the chances do go from 0% to 1%, and something-something-Batman-something-something-100%-chance.
  4. It all makes sense now, yes… Blacktron 1 and 2 were seemingly destroyed because they made their presence too well known. (Especially Blacktron 2 with their bright neon-green windshields.) So Blacktron receded into and now works in the shadows, plotting and scheming to control the LEGO world through its puppet politicians, such as Mayor Corncob. Another tidbit about the LEGO Omniverse conspiracy that’s come to my attention. Handsome Hank (feels so wrong to call my childhood villain that, but I’ll live) is shown to unplug the connection between a user and LEGO’s apps. Could he actually be a general over the online LEGO community? Maybe he’s working with some other online avatars. That one French artist always seemed a little fishy to me… and what’s Emmett really afraid of on the 404 page? Of us, or of someone else? Speaking of which, the LEGO Movie also proposes the theory that real world people have avatars in their LEGO world. So who is the avatar of Brickheadz Joker? Perhaps he is the embodiment of that is unfun and chaotic about LEGO, sorta of the dark side of the brick. This ties back into the Maelstrom theory I raised a while back. So then, who is the avatar of Demolition Dummy? Perhaps the son of Ole Kirk? (I can’t remember either name right now, apologies.) How much do the CEOs of and the creative teams at LEGO play into this story? Are they innocent bystanders, only names put on a story already unfolding with or without them? Is each and every character the avatars of these creatives? This is getting to be too much for my oh so big head.
  5. That’s not my argument. That’s the argument of angry YouTubers who like to clickbait, but not the one of anyone here. Sure, I wish the Acolyte tried to show how an organization with good intentions becomes corrupted instead of adding more noise to the conversation about the Jedi of the Prequels. Nevertheless, nobody here is arguing that as it’s moral failure.
  6. Meanwhile other people are in an echo chamber of whatever Lucasfilm propagates. It goes both ways, you know. I’m sorry, and this isn’t just directed at you, but how can you honestly say that with a straight face? How is this becoming the prevailing opinion? You can’t expect everyone who disagrees with this to roll over all in the name of you all just don’t care. Saying “Well, it’s kid-friendly, actually” doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t. Yes, I’m being obtuse, but this isn’t a case where you have any valid points to your argument; just a statement that keeps getting repeated over and over. “It’s a very popular show:” show me the numbers. “Isn’t inappropriate:” tell me why. If you can, then your side and opinion has some validity to it. If you can’t, then it’s simply propaganda. We could keep going at this for weeks, honestly, and I sense a Rancor lurking nearby, so I’ll make this my final word on the matter: it isn’t appropriate for children, furthermore it’s made by someone who we have no idea where her morals lie, and if LEGO were to not release sets, I could understand why on a moral level and numbers level too. LEGO has lines they won’t cross, and this might be one of them. Of course, that’s only my speculation. Ah, I remember that now, yes. Thank you for answering my question! So what I’m hearing is that we’ll get a Jedi Vector set with He Who Peeks Out of a Cave?
  7. Gasp! Turtle was the one who altered us to the threat of Brickheadz Joker. So does Clone O’Patra works for Brickheadz Joker? Does this mean all of the Eurobricks moderators work for him too? This conspiracy goes deeper than I first thought….
  8. I think y’all are making a bigger deal out of this than Turtle ever did. Yes, what he said wasn’t wise to say, but let one or two people correct him and move on. To continue telling Turtle how “wrong” or how “hateful” he is for having an opinion, however uninformed it might be, really drags the whole discussion down. I’d like to get back to LEGO Omniverse lore, if possible. And that is the definition of woke. You’re welcome, fellow crusaders. (Back being to off-topic, but is there a DC equivalent of “true believers”?)
  9. But the point of that sin in the first episode was that Andor had committed a selfish act that would plague his community. The whole first season is Andor’s journey of learning to fight for others than for himself. As for the execution in the sixth episode, that was an unselfish act to protect a greater cause than Andor. How is a dude preying on a younger girl presented as wrong in the Acolyte? How is the Stranger being selfless in literally seducing someone to the dark side? (I’m being very selective about my words due to the fact that there may be younger readers, but you and I both know to what I’m referring.) Honestly man, I hate having to discuss this on a LEGO forum. Can we please move on?
  10. I meant TLJ as an example of a controversial film, while I pointed to D&W as an example of a non-kid-friendly film. I should have clarified, apologies.
  11. SDCC time! RDJ as Doctor Doom seems like a desperate attempt upon first hearing. I wish they got a different actor for Doom and didn’t use him so quickly. Nevertheless, here we are, and there’s nothing to do other than voice our opinion. Thinking positively, at least RDJ gets one last hurray in the MCU, and gets to be in five (maybe even six) Avenger movies, which is kinda sweet in a money-making sense. Concerning LEGO, the costume needs serious work, but the mask looks fine. At least we have a more likely chance of getting Doctor Doom again. My hope is that Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Victor Von Doom, while Avengers 5 introduces a Tony Stark as Doctor Doom; that way, we can get plenty of Doom to come. Speaking of Fantastic Four… my word, I couldn’t be more excited for this than I already was, but that teaser gave me so much hope. (I’m a big fan of the Apollo program and early NASA, and it looked so so right. Plus, that musical theme for the title card is an ear worm.) The Fantastic Car they showed flying over the stage would be a great $30ish playset, and I really hope we get an up-scaled figure of Galactus with all of the Fantastic Four. Rumor time! Another Hall of Armor is fine. $55 doesn’t sound terrible, and hopefully we get some cool Iron Man suits this time around. I’ll just share my wishlist Hall of Armor I wrote down prior to us learning the identity of 76297. This will work as my prediction for this new one in 2025. “76297: $60 - Iron Man: Hall of Armor and Armory [I thought it was funny] “Minifigs: Tony Stark (shirt w/ reactor)…Iron Man Mk 42…Iron Man Mk 6 (undamaged), Iron Man Mk 21…” [I had more minifigs, but I took out as many as I’d rather not have.] The news about the minifigs in the Airport Battle doesn’t provide much more revelation in my opinion; only that we probably won’t get all of the characters needed, which is… fine. I hope for Bucky, Falcon, Black Panther, and Vision. (I really wanted a new CA:CW Hawkeye and War Machine though.) At least we know we’ll get a Giant-Man, although I fear it’ll be a redux of the construction figure. The quinjet is essential, yes, but hopefully it doesn’t take up too much of the build. After all, we still need an airport in which they can fight, right?
  12. I’d actually rejoice if Star Wars mechs disappeared. *shrug* Sorry-not-sorry. Call me crazy, but maybe it’s a good thing LEGO doesn’t associate itself with the Acolyte. No show so far has received as much hate as that one (to my knowledge) and beyond merchandise it seems morally bankrupt (how in the wide world of bricks did Lucasfilm allow that scene in the sixth episode? 0_o) so I can understand if LEGO would prefer not to produce sets from it. For examples of this, I’d point to The Last Jedi and Deadpool & Wolverine, both of which are two separate examples of either side. (No D&W isn’t morally bankrupt, but definitely not kid friendly, something of which the Acolyte walks the fine line.) Yes, I’m biased against the show, and I’m glad for anyone who did enjoy the show. Regardless, LEGO might do better financially if they avoid the Acolyte like the plague. That’s just my opinion, I suppose. Did Jedi Vectors even show up in the show? I’m dying to know, really. On the Jango and Bo-Katan helmet rumors: LEGO doesn’t seem to care about variety as much anymore. Jango and Bo have similar audiences, but as long as there remain completionists, Prequel fanboys, Clone Wars fanboys, and Mando Bros, both will sell well enough. Nevertheless, to compensate for any lack of revenue, I suspect we’d see a price increase to $80 for both. Just a gut feeling. On the rumors of buildable Chopper: I love Chopper, I’m happy to see he’ll get his own set… but no. I’ve thought about getting into the buildable character sets (I own a few helmets, which isn’t too dissimilar but I make a distinction between the two in my mind), but I always come back to the question: Why do I need a buildable version of something that’s not comparable to my other sets? It’s for that reason I don’t buy many UCS sets, and, as cool as that Droideka looks, it’s why I won’t buy the buildable characters.
  13. A true moment of character development for Man, agreed. I also love the moment when he told Tony, “Iron Man sucks.” Makes Tony’s sacrifice so believable. True, true. The helmet from that 2019 minifig needs work, but I wouldn’t mind a dark blue minifig for variety in this case. 👏 Brilliant.
  14. “Good is a point of view, Anakin.” - Sidious Not that I don’t agree, though…
  15. I think I’m the one person in existence who likes Rescue being LEGO purple. It registers as purple to me in promotional images, while the scene in the movie is too dark to tell. Obviously, Royal violet (or whatever colour 2002 Jango used) would be the best choice. Honestly, just bring that colour back period; it’s more useful than medium azure vs bright light blue. I bought the 2021 Endgame set, and said no thanks to the 2023 one, but one with Iron Spider might sell it for me. I never understood why the 2023 set wasn’t the portal scene anyway. Nevertheless, here we are with yet another, and this one sounds like it has promise already. Maybe we can get an updated IW Strange, enhanced Black Panther with leg printing, a new Rescue with the 2022 helmet, Batman in his Endgame attire, and Star-Lord from the Benatar? At least half of those figs would guarantee a purchase from me.
  16. “Good is a point of view, Anakin.” - Sidious Morally bankrupt statement, but a very true statement when it comes to defining constitutes the best film. To keep things Marvelous, I think the Avengers is the best MCU movie I’ve seen because it showcases the best a movie can do with a multi-movie interconnected universe. I also think that Winter Soldier is the best solo-superhero movie I’ve ever seen, because of the journey Steve Rogers goes through and how it captures the depth of his integrity. I also also think Spider-Man 2 is the best solo-Spider-Man film to date, not just showing the great power, nor even the great responsibility too, but why Spider-Man is needed: to be a symbol of the hero in all of us. I also also also think that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is the best Spider-Verse film because it not only showcases the multiverse in a way unlike any other superhero film, but captures each universe and their Spider-Man (Spider-Men and Women? Spider-People?) with rich detail and depth. Whatever quality a film does exceptionally that speaks to you most and matters to you most is the best film to you. We can only quantify and qualify what we know to be true in our hearts. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. I wish we got another character than Gwen, since I feel like her comic minifig is nearly perfect to use for Spider-Verse—well, except the blue slippers, and we’ll see if they add that detail or not. I would’ve preferred Spider-Punk, but at least we’re finally getting some Spider-Verse minifigs. :D All 3 minifigs should get side-leg printing (Miles’ bleeding armpit, Spots’ spots, Gwen’s shoes). I doubt we’d get that much detail on each, so let’s allocate that budget to Miles, and given the Spot and Gwen arm printing? I don’t know if I myself agree with what I just said. That said, I’m tired. :P Nevertheless, LET’S GOOO!!!
  17. Wait, you’re serious? Do you mean the guy from 7279? I called him Best Crook when I was a kid… not that creative, I realize. Look, the fact that he had a grey jacket while everyone else just had a plain jailor’s shirt told me that he was someone with whom to be reckoned. I mean, they even had to bring out the ATV for this guy! I see what you mean about Just A Normal Guy… he was also in Police Station and Mobile Police Unit, implying he escaped them before the Great ATV Battle (Police Minifig Collection… good Greef Karga, the bad names had begun in 2011…). Oh, when looking up 2011 Police sets, I rediscovered 3661: Bank & Money Transfer. 🤨 No! It must ALL BE RED string… for reasons… 😏
  18. All killed by the Alien Villainess’ forces, with only one surviving Bionicle: the brickbuilt GWP.
  19. You’re forgetting that Merlok 2.0 was trapped in Monstrux’s code when he was last seen. Who knows where the allegiances of the NEXO Knights lie now… My theory is that the grey-jacketed fellow from 7279 is part of the council as well. I also have my suspicions on the crook from 60128… of course, they’d have the likes of Rex Fury and Forrest Blackwell working for them. Could all of these sinister agents of evil be linked to the Maelstrom in some way? Like their power is linked to the Maelstrom, which feeds off chaos they create, leading every villain down their dark path?
  20. Fair enough. I can see what you mean; I just don’t see what I think you’re seeing. Still, I need to see more pictures before I can pass final judgement.
  21. Yeah… I mean, what kind of guy would think any of those sets sound remotely realistic… right? Whoever came up with that list should be real careful the next time… I don’t think the original What If…? sets sold well. At the very least, they weren’t received well at the time (two more Hulkbuster-esque mechs to add the pile of mechs). I do agree with wanting to see a set based off that upcoming mech episode, though. Just more sets period would be cool—if done right. The one buildable thing from the Spider-Verse besides a location build or Penni Parker’s mech? Nah, you’re crazier than Jonker, bro. /s
  22. This one: (This is based off all available footage from all trailers and TV promos, but I’ve put up a spoiler just in case.)
  23. I’m not one to buy multiple $40+ sets, even $35 is pushing it. $30 seems reasonable to me to army build this set. For $20, you get 4x minifigs in a battlepack (since 2022). For $15, you get 3x minifigs in an accessory pack. When it comes to BPs since 2022, $5 has got you 1 minifig. So can’t we get 6 minifigs for $30? We aren’t talking about a Tantive IV hallway build to go with them. You see two $20 builds. In my view, the Rebellion tank and the Imperial Dropship look like great $20 and $15 builds, respectively. (Although even that tank at $20 is questionable.) So does $35 seem reasonable? Sure. $40? $45? I don’t see value in that. (Do I have the Jang-sense? No. Do I have the Swordy-tingle? I’m getting there.) For the reasons above is why it doesn’t offer as much value to me at the rumored price of $45. $35 is where I draw the line for myself. (Of course, I can’t just agree to disagree, so I must write a short essay that will try to persuade you to my side. Will it work? No; because you, as you have stated, have nostalgia, and no man with an experience is at the mercy of a man with an argument. I can only offer rationale for my opinion.) The Christmas Falcon diorama went on sale at the end of year, though. Of course, given that was a Sequels set and this is a BP, I don’t expect to be able to grab one of these at 20% discount. Still, I have hope.
  24. Rebels Vs Stormtrooper Battlepack looks nice! I definitely enjoy both builds, as well as the plethora of army builders in one box. Nicely executed, and a set I wish wasn’t S@H exclusive for only three months. But $45? C’mon man… I also have to wonder if I really need more Fleet Troopers/Stormtroopers; not that I don’t want more, but do I really have a use for them? Such is the case with any battlepack these days in my case. I’d like to have money to spend on other things I might want over a couple more troopers. If it was $30 I’d buy two, but since it’s not, and the QT-KT only has me mad we didn’t get R2-KT, I’ll probably pass, but I’ll keep an eye out on any discounts.
  25. The Deadpool on the box is the same as the 2012 figure, crashing the market on the figure. Meanehile, Wolverine has an extra tear on his torso, making the figure exclusive to the set box. Cutouts go for $250-$350 a piece. X-Bros make dozens of YouTube videos asking why LEGO hates X-Men fans.
