  1. Exactly. Chaos and chaos are entirely different, and Chaotic is tangentially related to both of them.
  2. Chaos as a word in English is just 'randomness' with a negative connotation. Arthur appears to believe differently. In DnD, the 'Chaotic' alignment refers to the philosophy of 'the ends justify the means' for Good, 'I do what I want' for Neutral, and 'lol, rape and murder just for teh evulz' for Evil. Arthur's definition of independence and self reliance is really just a disdain for government and conformity and authorities and has nothing to do with DnD chaos or the actual meaning of the word chaos, but that's okay because Chaos in Heroica is a different thing altogether than chaos the word or Chaotic the alignment. And we've all agreed, I think, that Arthur's philosophy is logically unsound - it's the way Arthur thinks, not the way Flipz thinks. As for Robin Hood... He was never about disdain for government. A key part of his character is his love and respect for King Richard. Robin Hood's story is about the contrast between tyranny (John) and benevolent rulership (Richard) and the comforting idea of a hero who stands up for the little guy instead of only doing things like slaying dragons and saving princesses. In fact, Robon Hood is meant to promote the hereditary ruling class, according to Wikipedia.
  3. He has read far more than he really should have been capable of and is thus very book smart but I get the feeling that Arthur is still very naive about the world. He knows what he wants but he doen't know how to get there, which is why he has all of these illogical ideas. At least, that's the feeling I get from reading his Quests.
  4. And you. And now me, also. If you don't have anything productive to say, please say nothin at all.
  5. That's a cool summon! I'm envious - I've been stalling with the divine magic BS until I can build something properly cool for Arasmyth's summons once he regains the ability to use arcane magic... But I can't build half as well as anybody else here.
  6. I'm pretty sure I just quoted stuff between me, Pie, and Doc? Let me check if I got something from you in there somewhere. Sorry! Oh, you're right! We were taking about me being encouraged or not and I quoted something from you. That was totally my bad, I am so sorry!
  7. Yes, you are original core. Not one of the original three members, but you were part of the core started by Calico, Brienne, and myself. We suspected you of buddying at first but then dropped our suspicions after you were nothing but helpful: obviously a mistake.
  8. We didn't tell you about it, yes. After you asked about it you should have been able to understand he first time. And you should have already known hat Chromeo was in the loop.
  9. There was the original core: Me, Calico, Swinehurst, Theodor, Brienne, and Chromeo. Due to the investitions on the latter two, we have fallen out of favor with the town. Swinehurst and Theodor have been accepted into the new town core, and I will as well tonight. Our last act as a group was to decide on the plan to kill Brienne and revive her if she flipped town due to framing. You would know all of this if you had been paying attention, but that's too much to ask of you, huh? Point.
  10. Well, I'm not sure about a frame that also acts as a sort of Godfather to the target AND increases the framer's attack. Seems over powered. Chromeo was part of the core, so yes, it does have to do with it. Pay attention.
  11. Conversions have always been a possibility, considering that they're mentioned in the rules. We can prove that Geosmos didn't convert me when I'm investigated today. And for now the fact that I came forward and told you when I could've just not let anyone know at all should be seen as a sign of good faith until tonight, when faith won't be necessary.
  12. Situations like these pit you against your friends and make you want to kill everybody around you. We consider them a fun way of passing time. Not a framer, he visited me last night. Besides, our theory was converter, not framer. And killing you nets us 50 gold or an Enya, either one is good.
  13. You do need evidence to kill someone. Ezeal was killed because of our evidence: Red flag from Pauline's list. Decided on as a suspicion when he attacked Kob for no reason. Sealed his own fate when he flailed in thread. Killing people without evidence is known as being bad at the game if you're Town or being scum. If Calico was not as scummy as me, then why was she killed and not me? You are correct that we don't need to argue: I'm asleep right now and will be confirmed Town by nightfall. Might as well just thank me for my contributions in catching pretty much every scum so far and then move on. Then, just some advice for if you decide to get in on the mafia scene: Evidence is everything. Hunches are only good when you have evidence to back them up. Lurking is a no-no. When people don't have solid suspicions, they policy lynch lurkers. As long as you're not adding nothing to the topic at hand (sheeping, pointless RPing/fluff, off topic discussion, stating the obvious, being wishy-washy) you should always throw in your two cents. No matter how inexperienced you are it is possible that you have seen or considered something from a different angle and your opinion is therefore valuable. In addition, by remaining quiet you are depriving the Town of information they can use to judge you, and depriving the Town of information is a huge scum tell. Don't back down on your suspicions. Tunnel vision is one thing but if you think someone is suspicious do not let them worm out from under your notice unless they give a dang good reason. Also do not  . Indecisiveness gets you or your teammates killed. Only probable Nephilim about are Brienne, Chromeo, and Corelin. It was agreed upon in private by Swinehurst, Theodor, and myself, and none of us told you because your input does not matter in this situation. You are not important as a suspect or a town leader and therefore are not in the loop on everything. Just because you aren't privy to something does not mean that it is a Nephilim ploy. When Geosmos uses his action the target receives a message from God proclaiming that he is Neutral and means no harm to the town. On its own this would be dumb, but his attack increases for each person he convinces, making it slightly less dumb.
  14. Obviously you know nothing about reviving him. For one, it'll only happen if he flips town, so there was no need to really proclaim it loud for all to hear, it was really just a given. For two, why would we tell you anyway?
  15. My arguing is helping more than your lurking. When people argue they're more likely to slip up and reveal information. In addition, I have been more constructive and productive than most of the players in the game, unlike you. The only useful things we've gotten from you is your alignment upon death. And there is no evidence pointing in my direction besides the fact that I was close to Brienne, a statement also true of Calico. Gut feelings are worth little more than blind guesses in games like this, try using logic for once. Also, you were close to Ezeal. We were in the same situation, so you'd think that you would realize how circumstantial that single piece of evidence is.
  16. Fair enough.
  17. It's obvious you aren't going to change your action, but will you please explain to me how attacking Brienne, Cromeo, and Corelin is an anti-town move? We'll be able to get an essence no problem assuming Chromeo is scum... Call me an optimist, but I'm still hopeful that you got framed. I just don't believe it.
  18. I'm investigated today, genius. By nightfall I'll be in or dead. Putting me to sleep is a waste of your Ether since my action today does nothing except help the town.
  19. And you should be able to see exactly why we did that if you read those PMs I quoted and you'll find it to be perfectly earnest, if a little misguided. Besides, you literally know what my targets and my second action are, and by tonight I'll either be in the town block or have 15 angry block-ees raining destruction on me. Putting me to sleep is a waste of your talents, assuming you're town. And that still doesn't answer why you're putting only me to sleep, instead of the usual crowd of scummy or vaguely scummy or really anybody you feel like players. Nice question dodge.
  20. Right, attacking the three suspects today=scummy. Cromeo encouraging me- buddying. Brienne played me, I admit... And Calico, and you. You didn't suspect her until Maxi's investigation, either. I've got the PMs, too, y'know. But the real question is: you can put to sleep as many people as you have Ether. Why did you stop putting scummy people to sleep and only put me to sleep when my action is in direct collaboration with everyone else? I think you might have a vendetta against me. That, or a severe case of stupid with a side of power trip.
  21. I thought he just amended that to his previous action. If he did change it, though... Seriously Scamander? What are you smoking!
  22. 'We're friends, trust me!' 'Ezeal is town, trust me!' 'Let me state the obvious and then be wishy-washy about everything else!' Ugh, Flambé, even if you are loyal to Heroica, you definitely haven'y been acting that way so stop the lame arguments. How many scum have you caught yet? even if we only count Ezeal and not the others that I was part of the driving force behind... That's one more than you.
  23. Because Corelin was put to sleep we can attack her. I thought it was asleep until attacked, and then they could act, but yesterday everybody attacked her and she didn't wake, so we should be good to take her out today.
  24. Already doing two things if Scamander removes his dumb sleep song from me. Read the thread, please.
  25. Maybe in your opinion.
