  1. Arasmyth turns his head slightly and peers over the balcony at the newcomer. "Geez, Heroica must really be lowering its standards if we're letting undead join." He spat out the word "undead" as if it were a curse.
  2. Agreed on both accounts. Cronk is just epic.
  3. Hello! This is the first MOC I've built with LEGO System bricks, although I've done a couple of things with Technic/BIONICLE. It's an MOC for the Heroica RPG - there is a small prison tower (made mostly from Escape from Dragon Prison), an Orcish siege machine and a Heroica hero - the Orcish Knight, Knifk. (Knifk is also Bioniclover's character in the RPG. Why do I have his character? He doesn't own any System except for a couple pieces that came in BIONICLE and Hero Factory sets. He emailed me what he wanted his character to look like and I built it for him.) Knifk also has a weapon/armor rack and a steed. So here's the gallery (on Bioniclover's Imageshack): Tah-dah! Here are the minifigures - left to right we have two Orc slaves, a prisoner, an Orc Slaver, an Orc Ranger, and Knifk. Here is Knifk with his steed and weapon rack. Here is the siege machine. It shoots barrels of flaming oil. One human slave of the Orcs pulls the machine and the other has a torch to light the barrels of oil on fire. The shooter launches the flaming barrels of oil. (Yup, it really works. You can try it next time you have a spare barrel and a Thornax launcher.) Here's the prison tower. It has an Orc Ranger on top as a lookout. The flick-fire missle is supposed to represent quarrels fired by the Orc Ranger's crossbow. There's lots more pictures in the gallery I linked to earlier.
  4. Just wondering, why were (Life) Potions changed from red (in the board game) to green (here)? Also, why were the Luck, Strength and Speed Potions omitted? They seem like they could have easily been adapted into the RPG, i.e. the Luck Potion giving you Lucky status for the duration of the battle (like En Sabah Nur's Lucky Dice, but temporary), the Strength Potion might double your Power for 1 battle, and the Speed Potion might make it so you always went first.
  5. Arasmyth raised an eyebrow as the barmaid terrorized a young Ranger. "Good thing I just had a lesson on Orcs, Ogres, Goblins and Trolls from Byblos. I wouldn't want to get on her bad side... if she has a good one." he mutters under his breath.
  6. Arasmyth returns from a most informative reading session at the Library. He sees three new faces in the hall - A hulking ogre, a dark-skinned human mage, and a cleric. However, they didn't look like fresh new heroes. Far from it, actually. They seemed tired and battle weary, so Arasmyth assumed that they had just returned from a Quest. He sat down at the bar next to a young lady Knight. "It looks like the current Questers have started to return, eh? Perhaps we shall get chosen for some the next batch of Quests. I look forward to working with you - my name is Arasmyth, I'm a highly renowed sorceror from the lands on the border of Ennon and Baltorak."
  7. "Thank you very much, Byblos. This information will probably turn out to be useful at some point on my journeys." OOC: Is Tarokai a goblin? In the board games he is referred to as the "goblin king", but this obviously is a slightly different world than the board game world.
  8. After his trip to the Marketplace, Arasmyth returns to the Library to lose himself in a book while awaiting new Quests to be opened. As he reads, he notices something quite startling. "Byblos, I've noticed that despite the historical importance of the Orcish Invasion, there appears to be little information on the orc race as a whole. From what I've gathered from the bits and pieces of information in these books, the Orc King 250 years ago was Tarokai, who was the one who ordered the invasion, and that once the army of heroes led by the original Veterans defeated him at Fortaan, the orc race was condemned to slavery and servitude by the other races in the world until just recently. I also have learned that their homeland is somewhere in the wastelands to the West. But that's all there is. Do you know where the Orc homeland is, what their motivation for the Invasion was, what they were like before the Invasion, or what their government is like currently? In addition, do you know anything of the numerous subspecies of ORc, such as trolls, goblins, and ogres?"
  9. After his trip to the Library, Arasmyth swung by Heroica Marketplace before returning to the hall. He headed over to Portia's Potion Shack and picked up a Smoke Bomb and a Potion. He dropped ten gold on the counter. "Thank you much for your services, madam." He said, then removed his hat and bowed deeply. He may be somewhat full of himself, but he did try to be courteous.
  10. "Hmm... Yes, this all seems to fit with my own studies on the matter. Thank you for your time, my good man. Monkey. Ape. Metasmian. Whatever-you-are."
  11. Arasmyth walks into the Library, still grumbling about the lack of new quests. "You, librarian. I am a highly renowned sorceror in a perpetual quest for knowledge. What can you tell me about magic? As in, uses, origins, details, anything you know?"
  12. The doors to Heroica Hall boomed open as a majestic, blue robed figure swept in. "Did somebody order A LARGE HAM?!I AM ARASMYTH!" he bellowed. "Highly esteemed mage from the kingdom of Ennon!" He nearly fell flat on his face when no-one turned to look at him. "Grumble grumble... mutter mutter..." he walked up to the Quest board and looked it over. "What's this?! NO OPEN QUESTS?!" he fumed. "FINE! I shall while away my time in the Library while I wait for this horrid atrocity to be righted!"
  13. Everything's better with beards!
  14. I think you can only have 2 classes at a time, but you can change your secondary class in between Quests.
  15. My condolences, it's absolutely terrible. If it makes you feel any better, I'm praying for you and I agree that all the other religious people on this site probably are too. So, about the RPG - I just get an avatar size pic of my character and list my stats and such in my sig, then I can post to Heroica Hall? (And sign up for Quests once they become available!)
  16. Hello, Eurobricks! My name is Kadabra. I live in the USA and I'm the older brother of the member Bioniclover, who lurks here often but, to my knowledge, has only posted once. I'll try to be a little bit more active than him... As you can probably tell from my username, I'm a big fan of Pokemon. I also like LEGO Castle and Ninjago, and I also have plenty of Technic, Bionicle, and Hero Factory from my brother. I love forum-based role playing and the Heroica RPG is one of the primary reasons I joined this forum. So yeah, that's me.
