It sounds exciting! I'll try to get in if I overcome laziness (and final exams ). I have something in mind to enter and I have a question: could one entry count towards two categories? For example if I make a ship and a Coruscant scene. Or would it be better to enter separately with the ship (featuring only the ship) and the scene (including the ship in the scene)?

Gandalf's arrival to tease next year's Icons Bag End

Well, I see that piece more like a hood in Castle theme. Exactly! Thanks! Thanks Thanks! Yours is also great, I love the story Thanks!

Just a figbar I made a while ago reimagining The Fellowship of the Ring as if it was Castle. With references also to The Lego Movie. Hope you like it. (Getting familiar with posting mocs on eurobricks/flickr.) The Fellowship of The Ring, from left to right: Majisto the Blue, Emmet the bearer, Benny, Aragorn the ranger, Boromir of the Lion Knights, Pippin and Merry, Gimli the dwarf and Legolas of the forestmen.

Yes, Helm's Deep and Bag End are safer bets. I would love to see a huge Helm's Deep, it's my favorite battle of the trilogy. But for me a big Bag End would be better, with all the rooms, details, dwarf minifigures and molds...

Same. I thought the same about Rivendell back in te day and I think I've already ruled out buying it completely lol. Let's see if the same thing doesn't happen this time. Well, I guess that discards them being brickheads. Good news for me. I hope it's something related to Barad-Dur and maybe with more new minifigures.
-
I think so, and I bet that it will be the GWP for Barad-Dûr just as they did last year. I hope I'm wrong and they make something else for that purpose.

Looks great! I love the smoothness of the floor and the details of the chairs. And those window glasses... I always like when the moc fits perfectly in a clean black base. I don't know why but I have a fixation with that Lol.
-
I also use a makeup brush, it works well and reaches every corner of the pieces. I once heard a guy say that he shower with his Lego to clean the dust. So that's also an option lol.

Am I the only one who sees a potential Gondor armor on the DnD CMF dragon? And maybe the same mace for Sauron? Maybe we can have a couple of men from the Last Alliance with that armor in Barad-Dur... Fingers crossed

Of course it is not mandatory. But hey, that's my hope. It would be great to get all those molds too. Maybe it is a confusion with the initial delay from March to June?
-
For me too it's too messy. As you say, it's a matter of taste. It's always great to change things to your liking.
-
It's just a thought, but if Barad-Dur contains Frodo and Sam it will also contain Sting, right? So it should also come with all dwarven axes, elven swords, Narsils, etc. although they have nothing to do with it.
-
What greekbricks posted exactly: "Features 12-15 minifigures including: Sauron in full armor, Frodo, Samwise, multiple orcs and more" I hope that *and more* means we're also getting Gollum, Nazguls, the Witch King or Last Alliance minifigures. I'm looking forward to seeing what it means.

That reminds me of a dream I had not long ago in which I found some rohirrim minifigures. We really need lotr sets Lol

For moc builders: what is your set disassembly criteria?
Ben S replied to Ben S's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It is certainly a good perspective. Thanks for sharing! I guess that my case is similar, especially the larger ones pass the test. -
