  1. I can't resist the softness of the curved slopes
  2. I have to disagree there I also always struggle with lightning and photography. To date, the best thing that has worked for me has been using natural light with a cardboard light box. That way it reduces the shadows a little and although the photo comes out a little dark, playing with the image settings I fix it.
  3. Really cool! It looks very neat It has made me consider buying the Boarding the Tantive IV set lol
  4. Ok, thanks, it's a pity. Thanks for the tips! I guess I have work to do
  5. Hi, it's been a while since I've been following your mocs, and now that I've finally created my Eurobricks account and plan to start building mocs myself, I'm thinking about joining a guild. I wanted to read the post about how to make a small collection more useful when getting started with GOH. Does anyone know if this post is still available? The link directs you to Kaliphlin sign-up page. Thanks in advance.
  6. Really cool build! The grass is simple but it works very well, the bridge details are great... and the accident looks great
  7. Yes, I do something similar.
  8. Done. Goat plushie! I hope the next survey is about sets.
  9. Ok, thanks, that makes sense
  10. I've also noticed some tightness/cracking on some minifigures. (My uruks are especially tight. ) I read somewhere that it was better to store the minifigures without accessories. Any truth to that?
  11. Thank you very much for answering! It's really interesting to see different testimonies. It really helped me get an idea of what I want to do. Yeah, I usually build freestyle I guess. Only rarely do I plan things. So I guess I'll start disassembling little by little.
  12. Hello, I'm new to the forum and I want to start building mocs myself. Maybe it's a bit of a silly question because in the end it depends on you, but I would like to hear some references. What is your criteria for deciding whether to keep a set built or use it to get loose pieces to build? Thanks in advance
  13. I love how you have achieved the dynamism of the sea . It really takes the moc to another level.
  14. What amazing waves! Hope they were real. Just with the minifigure lineup...
  15. Great moc! I especially like all those gothic details you have on the tower. I also like the techniques you used on the roof of the trader's house. And the variety of minifigures and animals add more life to the build. Don't take this as a criticism, it's just a matter of taste, but the color scheme of the nobleman's house doesn't convince me. Somehow I feel that the contrast between black and white is too strong.
  16. I'm seriously thinking about doing that with the medieval town square and just going with the minifigures. And of course goats. The stickers bothered me and made me doubt about it. With Barad-dûr in sight... It would be great if they made a format like the City people pack that existed back in the day but with Castle.
  17. Yes, my hopes are only on the set, sure there are interesting minifigure pieces in it. Locked in a 360$ set, though. CMF parts are more accessible anyway. I will pick them for sure.
  18. Can we expect the minifigure pieces from the Ideas set to be available on PAB? Or does the fact that it is a licensed theme make it impossible?
  19. Hello, I'm so glad to finally join Eurobricks community after years and years of reading it . I have at last overcome laziness . I'm eager to take part in your convesations and start posting my mocs, I guess eventually I will create a Flickr account. But, hey, no hurries. If creating an Eurobricks account have taken me years, I can allow myself a few weeks or months to do it, right ? My favourite themes are Castle , Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. I also like Pirates . I like to build mocs from time to time but I really don't have too much free time. And when I have it, what I lack is inspiration . But hey, sometimes I have both and enjoy creating something. By the way, I love the emojis. I allow myself to abuse them because it's my first post. I will hold back more in the future Again, happy to join!
