1. Sigh...I lost a bid war for that. I wanted it for the parts...;_; ~Trexxen
2. Woah, woah - Mary, none of us locked Dragonator in the storage. He heard our mutinous comments (well, everyone else's... ) and locked himself in his weapons storage room until he found something suitable to defend himself with. Now he's walking around with a semi-automatic crossbow with a zoom scope, and Staudie has an axe... (psst: don't look now, but I think Staudie will be Dragonator's first target with the crossbow - he's fallen with his axe on five statues already today!) ~Kyle
3. While I'm not quite ready to call the traitor card on Mary just yet, yes, it is suspicious - then again, I also would enjoy protecting Mary nightly, so... ^.~ Also, a few notes: 1. No, I didn't get any other information other than "traitor", so don't ask me for what he ate for breakfast three nights ago. =P 2. I support you Lord Dragonator! <3 (Can I borrow one of those crystal swords? They look magnificent!) ~Kyle
4. Well, I got my investigation on Rotty today... Vote ImperialShadows/Rotrigous Anyone care to hazard a guess at what I found on his alignment? ^.~ ~Kyle
5. Bluebeard: I feel you; I recently missed a few auctions myself that I wanted but didn't quite have the money for ;_; Anywho, yeah, I really want a Renegade Runner - it may be a Pirate ship, but it's awesome nonetheless - besides, without pirates with some ships, who am I going to pit against the Imperials? ^.~ Thanks, though - RR seems like it might be the first ship I pick up; either that or a Caribbean Clipper I saw with a few imperfections for really cheap (please don't buy it before I do guys XD) Gen. Knowledge: Indeed; my goals are mainly twofold: build a decent sized army of imperials (hopefully by the end of 09 including the new sets coming out I'll have 50+!), and get enough parts to start making some nice MOCs. At the same time, though, I need some pirates - partially because they too have some unique parts I could use later, and partially because the majority of the good ships belong to the Pirates; and the main reason I want the Pirate sets is the ships! =P I'm thinking I should stock up on some of the smaller sets first; as I said, a few Lagoon Lockups, Broadside's Brig(s?), and Sabre Islands should hold me over until I can muster the willpower (lol) to save up for Eldorado. After that I'll likely begin expanding my Pirates a bit (by this time I'll already have Renegade Runner as I plan to pick it up SOON; same for Caribbean Clipper), and then I'll go for the big daddy - my favorite Pirate set, Imperial Trading Post =D Of course, then this creates a couple of problems too - what if I want to keep my pirate sets built? And what about the fact that I only own bley? I think I'll store my pirate parts seperately from my normal sets; that way I don't EVER have to see a boat hull or shako next to bionicle pieces...=P Thanks for the thought-invoking post! ~Trexxen
6. So THIS is the new story-driven line Greg referred to a long time ago...sweet, more Rock Raiders is always good! *waits for people to complain about it being unfaithful anyways* =P Anywho; this is some good new information - and I do recall seeing some mining stuff on Whung's list. I can't wait! =D ~Trexxen
7. For me, it depends - this is a touchy issue as I understand it, but as someone (and I've forgotten who, sorry!) in the space forum who was reviewing a MISB set (It wasn't that rare though) said, "I collect Lego, not Cardboard." THAT BEING SAID, if I ever got a large/valuable/hard to find MISB set, rather than opening it I would trade it for itself in a used state (read: opened) and maybe some other goodies too. I understand how important this is to some collectors, so my reasoning is this: If you want my MISB set, be prepared to pony up the original and a little something extra! =D (Actually, that reminds me - from now on I'll put recent MISB set gains in my sig until I open them, and allow people to do that...seems a good idea to me.) ~Trexxen
8. (OOC: Perhaps we need to give Hinckley Staudie's title instead...) Mary, I never really planned to vote you - I don't want to vote any of you, even. It's the only thing I can do, and now that you've voted yourself I'd feel guilty about doing anything! *Savril whispers in my ear then walks away, pointing and laughing the whole time* You would rather die than sleep with me? I'm not THAT old...am I? ~Kyle (Who's still got it, but nobody believes him ;_; )
9. Tanotrooper: *pouty voice* But...but...I can't wait! =P Seriously though; I'll have no problem with money once I get my job (and if I don't get this one I'll keep trying)...so that's not too much of an issue =D Adam: Ah, thanks! I plan on picking up a Skull Island in the near future; and Enchanted Island come to think of it would be great too - I'm not so much into islanders but that set (and another, see below) would give me all I'd ever need, wouldn't it? =P Wes: Ah, the Imperial Trading Post - surely the gem of any imperial collection. I'll probably pick one up, but not for a bit - the prices on that are simply crazy! =P I'll probably get an Eldorado Fortress first - mmm shakos...four of them... Mister Phes: I agree; after looking at most of the sets I've found the most consistent quality in the Imperial Guard sets! I'll probably be picking up a Caribbean Clipper at some point; it doesn't cost TOO much and it'll likely be my first ship. And I'm starting to use that nifty feature - I've got my eye on a Forbidden Cove that'll end tomorrow; if it doesn't go too high I'll grab it for sure! Fluyt: Yes; that is a set I want, however the prices on bricklink are crazy - it appears someone bought them all and left only the rarer and more valuable than I am willing to pay MISB versions -_- Thanks all! ~Trexxen
10. No, though he's highly possible. Look; tonight I'll know exactly what your identity is, and from there we can keep going; but I can't see any way to end tonight well without a lynch of one of the four people. I'm leaning torwards Byron or Mary, simply because I'm going to investigate you tonight and no reason to disbelieve Savril, especially since I found Micheal knocked out. ~Kyle
11. I've lost count how many times we've gone over this. I know not if he has a night action, but he is a loyalist! Try again? ~Trexxen
12. Adam: Oh, I've seen the prices of the tiny sets - haha, not touching those! But the ones I listed seem to have pretty good price points; any tips on other sets to pick up? And actually, I don't know what this "something BIG" is; care to explain or tell me what topic it's in? =P ~Trexxen
13. Legoman: I agree! Imperial Guards are really what got me into the Pirate theme; mainly the unique gear they have on them - I love the Shakos! Also, the hat you're referring to I believe is a Pith, yes? Lt. Col. Thok: Oh, it's not really a matter of waiting - I'm buying those sets too, of course! The 09 line, however true to the original it may be (and I must say it DOES look amazing; really close to its roots!), just isn't Classic Pirates, though; and I want to get some of both! The designs of the old sets are simply grand - and besides, no, I can't wait! =P (I do plan to use Bricklink, of course - earlier in the year I bought a Sentai Fortress for cheap; still in the polybags! Would have been MISB, but that'd mean extra shipping and I planned to build it =P) ~Trexxen
14. (Note: the description was meant to be a spoof on contests, it wasn't saying I'm not going to buy anything...just putting that out there XD) Alright, so, I've been debating posting this for a day or two now, and after a few thorough rereads of the rules to make sure I didn't miss anything, there's nothing against it. I've missed the chance throughout my life to get any sort of sets in the Pirate theme, and it is something I regret very dearly; even moreso with the recent pictures of new pirate sets once again piquing my interests. I've read through every review here multiple times; sometimes out of boredom (they're all good reads!), sometimes out of interest; but I still don't know which classic Pirate sets to start out with. A few things to note: 1. I love Imperial Guards/Soldiers. The actual Pirates, not as much, but they're great additions too! =P 2. I have a somewhat limited budget. I'm currently applying for jobs, and even then I'll only get minimum wage seeing as I'm not even a high school graduate yet. So at the moment I won't be picking up any large fleets of BSBs, though when my job picks up and I start making decent amounts (I have to put half of each paycheck in the bank, too), I'll be making use of the fact that I don't yet have to pay taxes or rent to buy large sets, so no problem with suggesting them for later! 3. I'm already planning to get at least three Lagoon Lockup sets, two Broadside's Brig sets, and a Sabre Island set - they're the ones that really look nice, are cheap, and have plenty of imperial soldiers (SHAKOS! Yay!). So, any suggestions? Sets to avoid due to price/quality of set? ~Trexxen
15. And now it's: Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana (And yes, I understand the lyrics. Amazing, yes? =P) Exo-Politics - Muse (Kinda redundant given my last post, but eh.) Shackler's Revenge - GNR (again, redundant, but holy crap it gets better every time I hear it. Buckethead on guitar = Win) Creep - Radiohead (woot.) Enjoy The Silence (2003 ver.) - Depeche Mode (Yep, the version that IIRC was redone with help from Linkin Park.) Real World - Gamma Ray (Their singer is amazing.) I Want Out - Helloween (Their singer is amazing. Because it's the same one.) Crush My Battle Opponent's Balls - Dethklok (WIN) 2112 - Rush (MORE WIN) No No No No No - GasparLewis (The most win. )~Trexxen
16. *looks outside* Nightfall nears. We need to take action, NOW. However, I am no longer even confident in my decisionmaking abilities - the fact that I have mentally ruled out one person is testament to that. Does anyone have ANYTHING to say about my plan, or are we doomed to another night of torture and anguish? ~Kyle
17. Ah, Bunda, this is why you should have come here sooner. I'm a former BZP convert myself (remember me? Sure you do! Right? ;_; ), came here for the Mahri leak a while back, but didn't sign up til around the Phantoka leak. We found the names of the summer sets in November, and the sets around Christmas or in January; I forget which, but it preceded ToyFair =P The sets, well, what can I say - they WOULD be must buys, but with the return of Pirates that's got my wallet's top priority...*shrugs* We'll see if I get me a job ^.^ ~Trexxen
18. Hehe, I'm looking forward to investigating Mary for that very reason - just have to distract Rits that night =D Anywho, we need to vote someone off and we need to do it now. Otherwise, either we get a random kill, or Dragonator foils our plans once again. Remember, the four people I haven't cleared are Rotrigous, Mary, Byron, and Savril - so at least one of them, in my eyes, is a traitor. As for me, you can vote me if you wish, but it'd be stupid - given the fact that I can investigate tomorrow night and then we'll only have two unknowns (and one quasi-confirmed - remember, Marcus said he was going after Lord Gary) left tomorrow, and we can then easily weed out the traitors. Sound good? The choice of WHICH of the four is the traitor will be the hardest, of course... ~Kyle
19. What I've Done is about the only LP song I can stand these days. *shrugs* Also been listening to: The Day That Never Comes - Metallica The Entire Muse Discography <_< Revolution Deathsquad - Dragonforce (WHOO GH3 DLC) Soothsayer - Buckethead Caramelldansen =3 ~Trexxen
20. Alright, I've got a little idea for something we can do while we wait for some actual useful information to come up! Let's play a game! Who did YOU want to target last night, as in, who did you TRY to, but were foiled by Dragonator's failure of a speech? =P I tried to target ImperialShadows/Rits. ~Kyle
21. Well that's just great! Thanks to Lord Dragonator we're now nowhere nearer a rightful conviction - I, at the very least, didn't get a chance to do anything! *grumbles* This, of course, likely means that either I will die today, or that I will have some semblance of support in voting for one of the four possible traitors. Sigh...I'm going to take a nap, and likely will multiple times throughout the day...*yawn* (read: new excuse for school yay!) ~Kyle
22. Oh my god. I kid you not - the finding of those pics is the first time I have ever actually hyperventilated over something related to lego. THANK YOU!!! ~Trexxen (who has always wanted Pirate sets, but never had the bucks for them) EDIT: Ok, now that I've calmed down, some comments. Ship: Wow. WOW. FREAKING WOW. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for! For the record, the hull PIECES don't seem to be that <insert that tiresome argument> to me - in fact, they seem on roughly the same level as the old ones. If you look carefully you can see that it is indeed multiple pieces. I also see some SNOTwork on the ship, with a dark green tooth piece (<3) attached to a brown 1x3x1 curved slope (<3 <3). But still...wow. SO many epic parts, 7 and a half (lol) minifigures, a Shako, two Tricornes, two Headwraps, two hairpieces, and a skull/crossbones bicorne. More to come later, mind...
23. I'm so in! And thanks for doing this, by the way, especially for free - it's really a great charity! ^.^ ~Trexxen
24. I love Nirvana! They have so many good songs - In Bloom, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Breed, Heart Shaped Box, etc. - and Kurt Cobain, like him or not, was a talented guitarist and singer. Also, anyone here not know the story behind SLTS? I'd be glad to share it =D ~Trexxen
25. CORE 12/Mata Nui There are 12 core sets. The canisters are the "core" of any year, and there are usually 12 in a year. Mata Nui is a core set. Mata Nui...a canister set...mind blown. ~Trexxen
