  1. Aww, man! I just started working on a design that has a very similar cockpit! (Then again, I too just got done tearing apart my MCC...XD) Ah well! =P Anywho, this is a great little ship you've got here. It may only have one wing, but it does look very streamlined! I like the "half-wing" idea, it lends a unique look you don't often see in Space MOCs. One thing to consider, though - the "Cargo Area" looks very bare, perhaps find a way to instead make it so that the wing tapers off in height on that side (and on the bottom, too), or has something to cover it - with engines that look that powerful, I think any cargo would have a tough time staying on the open wing! =P ~Trexxen
  2. Well, to eliminate the confusion I too will vote Damien/Dovchenko. Tonight I will...investigate...Lady Suzanne. ...And you're right, I'm a big softie ^.^ - but I'm not afraid to get dirty for the good of the keep, now am I? *waves torture kit* I do love kittens though...
  3. Ohhhh yes, I would love to have this set available! It's an amazing set, one of the best Lego's produced in a long time, and I'd probably buy it in multiples if I could! Consider me signed! ~Trexxen
  4. Firstly, Blockbeard (I forget if you are Byron or not, forgive me); why do you doubt me so? I have helped to convict and behead the traitor Marcus; is that not enough for you? Fine, let me show you...*pulls out a small box, which consists of a small vial of water, several pins, a few daggers, and a long, hard, thick, and perfectly cylindrical piece of metal* These are my implements of torture. Holy water, gotten from the Friar, whom was nice enough to give me a refill last night (by the way, he is indeed a loyalist, I've made certain of that); a few piercing rods to inflict pain without too much damage; daggers incase the suspect is particularly unruly, and a rod to knock them out with when I've finished if need be - usually the pain makes them pass out anyways, as happened the night before last when I found the unconscious body of Marcus. Also, I reiterate that my abilities are used only to discover where one's loyalties really lie, and so far it has been spot on, even if I have only had to resort to it once. Last night I had chosen to investigate the Friar, however, being a man of god of course I could not torture him! Instead, I went to his chamber and waited for him, where we had a long discussion and a few drinks. I had hoped that, were he a traitor (and once again I apologize for suspecting you, you are a damn good chess player though), he would become inebriated enough to spill the beans or pass out, but after last night I am certain he is indeed a loyalist. If this little "group" that is forming amongst all of the well-endowed in the castle wishes it so, perhaps I could be of assistance? Agh...my head hurts. Must be God punishing me for suspecting the friar...or drinking too much...
  5. E3. The name alone sends chills up the spines of hardcore and casual gamers alike. And it's happening right now. We can use this topic to discuss the high points (and low points) of E3 08, such as game announcements, DLC announcements, or new gaming consoles (should any of THEM be announced.) The Microsoft conference just ended; some very juicy info there. Highlights included RE5, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, the entire Rock Band 2 setlist being revealed (it was the leaked tracklist), and finally, Final Fantasy 13 being announced for the XBox 360... (Oh, and Microsoft is partnering up with Netflix, NBC, Universal, and more to bring TV and Movies to the Xbox.) Any comments? (I'm going to need a bigger hard drive with all of the Rock Band stuff that's going to be released...*shudder*) ~Trexxen
  6. ^To quote you, Sir Dano, :O Also, it's great that Indy is returning...and though Pirates aren't confirmed by any means, it's a safe bet, what with all the new ships, the cameo in the Indy comic in one of the recent magazines...yeah, Pirates are a safe bet for sure. Here's hoping! ^.^ ~Trexxen
  7. It would appear that Lego wants this beauty kept a secret...=P Anywho, this is AMAZING. I found pics...somewhere...and...oh wow. This thing is a must-have, and I'll be saddened so much if I can't find it anywhere. I doubt they'd keep a set like this promo, though. Those parts are great for town fans, castle fans, space fans...you name it, that set could be useful for it. Ohhh goodness... ~Trexxen, who is blown away by this amazing set...
  8. *is seen sharpening his blade on a grindstone* Whaaat?! ~Kyle the Executioner (and sometimes torturer)
  9. How else am I supposed to get information from such vile scum? Of course, I couldn't torture him enough to let out the names of any colleagues, but I'm beginning to draw my conclusions as to who a few others are.
  10. And here we have...The Potato Cart (of death). Here we see the castle grounds, and a pathway. There are easily visible pebbles near the beautifully made walkway. But what's that under the potato cart? (Note: Images from here on haven't been resized and will thusly be linked.) Oh dear! It appears that the entire cart is being held up by a small rock! Were that rock to fall, or be disturbed, there would be terrible consequences for the person on the receiving end of that load of potatoes! Who would be so reckless as to prop up a potato cart on a single stone?! Full Frontal shot. This screenshot shows some of the tiled walkway, the painted cross patterns on the castle wall, and the cart itself in full glory. Aireal shot. I don't like the way this one turned out, to be honest - the metal handles on the cart make it appear that the tiles do a quick "L" here, when there is a corner visible in most other pics. Oh well. =P Finally, the back. I've spared no attention to detail here - the wall can even be walked upon by a minifigure, even in the 8x8 limits of the vig! (Though it would be rather a fun game of balance, lol.) There it is, my first castle model ever, and my first vignette ever (!). I would have made this out in real bricks, but the only castle set I own is the crossbow attack, so I'm rather ill-equipped! =P ~Trexxen
  11. Sorry Marcus, but your days are numbered. Or did you forget what I forced out of you last night? Marcus is indeed a traitor; last night I tortured him until he gave in. I would have continued, but I had work to do - even if it was work done wrongly. *sigh* At least today we're getting one right. Vote Batbrick/General Marcus
  12. Both. The name "Glatorian" was first leaked by Tyranide, who was told of the name through a contact he has at a lego store. This was followed within days by a book description being put up on Amazon for one of the Level Three Readers (read: Books for 5-7 year olds), which confirmed the set group "Glatorians" as well as one of the characters, Vastus, who was recently revealed to be "not a Matoran". The context of this could mean that the small sets are not Matoran (highly likely), or that Vastus is a canister set (ALSO highly likely). ~Trexxen (Edit: Aww...Ninja'd. T.T)
  13. Oh, mine's ready - in fact, if you're really desperate I believe that at this point the gallery is indeed public on my Brickshelf for it... I'm waiting until the start of the next day to post it, though. Not because of spoilers (it's an event that happened a while back), but because...uh...well, I don't really have a reason, lol. I guess I'm lazy...maybe something in the back of my mind thinks of this as a sort of blackmail by contest entry, but nope, just lazy =P ~Trexxen (Also, I just realized - this is both my first castle MOC AND my first Vignette. Ever. Seriously...>_>)
  14. Panic Attack - Dream Theater New Born - Muse (and Hysteria - Muse) Beat It - Micheal Jackson and Corneria - Super Smash Bros. Brawl ^.^ ~Trexxen
  15. Firstly, to the person who noted that I described the killer's cape; I saw him turn a corner just before he left. I'd recognize that green dragon anywhere. I may have bad eyes, but I'm not colorblind... And now, for my vote. Batbrick's clothes were seen at the murder. He has been quiet for the most part today; mostly lurking around. He has no solid alibi... So I vote iamded/General Spencer. The evidence against him is much more profound; since I didn't see a face I can't tell for sure who the killer in that murder was. But to know who attacked another loyalist in our castle is enough. Sorry, but it's over for you.
  16. Hmm...not really, sorry; I'm more of a building maker (and my buildings tend to look better on the interior, at that!) and mech builder... My Sentai Fortress arrived today; taking a (forced) break from building. It looks like I'm in for the long haul with this one, folks - about 30 minutes in and not even finished with Venom One or whatever that robot mech is. It's an amazing set, though, and TONS of parts...^.^ ~Trexxen Quick Edit: Oy, I guess I'm tired too, hah - I'd suggest going with a few buildings now that we have standardized walls. I don't want anything standardized to my design mainly out of humbleness, but if you really want to mine's a 12x12...=P (Designed with a 32x32 baseplate in mind; that way you can have four and then maybe a cross of Exo-Monorails or of moonbase like corridors...)
  17. (OOC: Good lord, I can't even sleep without getting pages of posts to read! That's a good thing, by the way...^.^) Firstly, I must say that there is very compelling evidence against you, Batbrick, and you indeed wear the clothing I saw a glimpse of...I think that I'll have my decision made here in a few. (read: Next post.) And just to clear my own name, hear my plight. I had gone to investigate Grim; obviously I don't want the people I investigate to know I am there, so I don't carry a torch. It was understandably dark as Mary's room had no torchlight outside, oddly (and the sounds from it were most ghastly!), and once the killer came at Grim I hid so as to not be seen. When I looked again he was gone, and Mary had exited her chamber (presumably Rotrigous was behind her) and stumbled upon the scene herself. I can only *hic* wish that I had done more...*collapses again, this time with bottle of wine in hand*
  18. I did try to warn Grim; but before I could it was too late. As for why I wasn't seen after the murder, I left to report it immediately - and get my dagger to carry on me from now on. It may not do much, but it's a nice little knife... Ahem. Anywho; I did see the bit of clothing seen in the painting (I gave my report to the artist, too, who for some reason has as much security as Lord Dragonator...), and it pretty much confirms the killer as a royal guard member. Does anyone have a painting of the people here that is labeled? If I had that we could narrow it down to three, two, or maybe even one of the royal guards; nontheless, it is clear that there is a traitor amongst them. General Spencer; though your actions appall me greatly I cannot condemn you for them just yet. I can see why you would do it; even if it was quite possibly the dumbest thing you could do - and the worst time to confess, as well. Last but not least, I'm keeping my eye on all of you today - yesterday I was somewhat lucky in my choice as to whom I would pursue, as I was able to see what happened to some extent; hopefully tonight I will be even moreso.
  19. Kyle, who had been watching the talk from afar knowing that he had probably looked suspicious, steps out from behind a door. Yes, I was there - I had chosen last night to follow Grim as to investigate his doings. I saw the person who killed him, but only enough to get a glimpse of his clothing, which can be seen in the paintings. Had I brought my axe, I would have attacked as soon as I heard the scream, but I had not carried it with me at the time and hid in order to save myself. Kyle collapses in the corner, partially due to fatigue, and partially due to grief and self-loathing for being so close to the murder and doing nothing about it.
  20. My entry is done; I'll edit this post with pictures later - or do you want us to post them in a seperate thread? Either way; it's done and is probably completely non-canonical - it does show an event that did happen, but I doubt this is the exact way in which it happened XD ~Trexxen (also no poo in my entry!)
  21. I do believe that at one point Greg said that they wouldn't be abandoning the name "Toa" because it gave brand recognition or something. Not sure, though... Glatorians? I liked the BOHROK KAL and I hate this name. Hopefully the sets make up for it. ~Trexxen
  22. Actually, I too must ask - are digital entries an option? My reason is that I don't have very many castle sets; in fact, the bulk of my entire system collection is currently built - that being a spaceship, a few alt models, and the truck and trailer of MCC. (Yeah, I know, I've just left my "semi-dark-ages" in which I only liked Bionicle and Exo-Force; give me a break!) If they are, though, I can whip up something great for this contest ^.^ ~Trexxen
  23. >_> TBH I think that person was joking with you, Tyranide. Galidorians. Galidorians. Ewwwwwwwwwww... ~Trexxen
  24. It's a great idea! But...are you sure this hasn't been thought of before? ~Trexxen (That reminds me...I need to post my building...)
  25. As I had written in Ye Olde Obsolete Embassy, I say that a Nintendo theme is now looking better than ever. With the new bionic arm from Agents, a Samus Aran minifigure could be made; and the other games are there too. It'd be a hit with AFOLs who like the nostalgia, and younger fans who like the bright colors (Ok, maybe not so much with Metroid, lol) and the characters that are still relevant. Plus, Nintendo and Lego share similar policies on protecting children - it'd be a great combination. Licensed Nintendo theme aside, I think that a new space theme in the colors of one of the Classic Space themes would be a good idea; and as for castle, continue the line going now; but soon introduce more human factions - perhaps a return of the Fright Knights or some other evil faction? ~Trexxen
