  1. Oy, keep in mind that this is speculation and word of mouth - nobody knows that the large sets will be giant weapons. Rockoh may be, but Jetrax and Axalara? No. Those are NOT weapon names. I still think Axalara is the OOMN leader... ~Trexxen
  2. Wait, Vultraz? Where'd you get those two names? (Kills my hopes for Takanuva to be the $100 set with a great fully custom toa and awesome vehicle T.T...not that those hopes were very strong =P) So Taka's the $30 set, eh? Vehicle confirmed...again...here's hoping it's more inspired than "stick with weapons on it" (Lesovikk), and hopefully more pieces than the hoverboard =P ~Trexxen EDIT: Wait, huh? I've found another site with the set list I've confirmed, and it has Takanuva, Vultraz, and 3 others...I'm hoping these are prelim names, I really am: Rockoh T3, Jetrax T6, and Axalara T9. The "T#"s confuse me, and Rockoh? Really? Bleh...However, I'm willing to wager a little something - Axalara is the head of the OOMN. She is female, right? The name seems like one fitting for her, in that case - and it continues the OOMN member trend (Axonn, Hydraxon, Axalara...) Odd. NOTICE: Credit for this goes to Whung - he posted it on another site first, I'm just copying it here. Rockoh...eww...
  3. >.> Oh. Well, your list didn't have prices and whatnot =P Plus, I at least confirmed Mazeka is a promo. =P And another thing to note - 999.99 R converts to just over $146. So, either South Africa is getting the shaft big time or we're looking at at least $100. ~Trexxen
  4. Firstly, I'd like to give some of the credit to Navy Trooper Fenson - he linked to the site where I found these ^.^ So, without further adieu, I give you the set names, numbers, and prices. NOTE: A few of the sets don't have names yet, and I'll put what I can into USD. 8688 - Gali Nuva ($10/R 129.99) 8689 - Tahu Nuva ($10/R 129.99) 8690 - Onua Nuva ($10/R 129.99) (Phantoka Makuta go here. Here comes the first real new bit of info...) 8694 - Krika ($10/R 129.99) 8695 - Gorast ($10/R 129.99) 8696 - Bitil ($10/R 129.99) (Skip down past Ignika, now we're at titans. All but the last one here are obviously placeholder names, but at least we get their numbers. I'll compare the prices to other sets with the same price in R, so these should be accurate. EDIT: The names in brackets are supposedly the missing set names, however, the "T3/6/9" on the "supertitans" leads me to think that there's bits of prototype name left in them...or perhaps they're rank designations?) 8698 - HPP 2 [Vultraz?] ($20/R 219.99) (Seems to be "Titan 2" -esque, given that it's the same price as Ignika, and could be grouped with...) 8699 - HPP 3 [Takanuva?] ($30/R 329.99) (This one to make the 20/20/30 Titan Sets we've gotten in the past.) (Here's a long gap.) 8941 - SHP 1 [Rockoh T3?] ($40?/R 429.99) 8942 - SHP 2 [Jetrax T6?] ($50?/R 549.99) 8943 - SHP 3 [Axalara T9?] (R 999.99, honestly don't know what to make of that, seems to be a quite large/expensive set though - above $70, maybe $90 or $100?) (Matoran, Mutran & Vican, then Icarax...then...) 8954 - Mazeka (Promo) ($30/R 329.99) And there you have it, my first big find on EB (Though I DID have some help ^.^)! Now, here's hoping those unreleased set names come soon... Here's the first page where you find new sets. You can find the others on pages 5 and 6. ~Trexxen EDIT: Put in possible set names for the unfilled sets.
  5. In the world of Lego, I got Karzahni, Matoro Mahri, and (the big surprise) a factory fresh (well, not really, but MISB) Vorahk. I...opened him. T.T But he's an awesome set, so meh. Not much, BUT, I got some cash...Toa Ignika, Antroz, Storm Lasher, and Arachnoid Stalker are on their way now ^.^ ~Trexxen
  6. Well, I read the points everyone here made, and decided I'd get Antroz. I'm already getting a Midak, so I opted for a Makuta...as for why Antroz, 1. I have a Black and Red MOC in the works and the wings would make some awesome scythe blades, among other things, and 2. I like his color scheme. =P I could have gotten a phantoran, but I decided not to - and I may only buy them once they're on sale, and even then only for the masks. 5.99 for 14/16 pieces? Haha no. ~Trexxen
  7. Just curious, although I know the general opinion of the Phantoka, as always with every single new shipment of Bionicle, is "bleh", what one $10 Phantoka is (in your opinion) the best? I'm asking, of course, because I have $30 to blow and I know I'm getting Ignika. I'm thinking I'll get either Kopaka, Lewa, or Antroz (6 inch wings yum)... But I want some opinions on this ^.^ ~Trexxen (Merry Christmas!)
  8. The phantoka are shaping up to be amazing; it's the matoran I'm now worried about... Look at the pictures and you'll see they appear to be some limbs slapped on a one piece body with a head attachment. If this is true, we're looking at less than 20 pieces per matoran...>.< However, that aside, those arms (the ones on Radiak and Gavla exclusively, and on the upper limbs of Tanma/lower limbs of Photok) appear to be great for MOCing - will certainly give custom bodies a new look =P ~Trexxen
  9. Just put my entry in - and as a bonus, it comes with instructions to build my sig-fig and his weapon. Here's hoping it's good; it is my first mecha =P ~Trexxen
  10. I hope this works... Well, here she is, Trexxen's Sig-Mech: The Reaper. It sports a great Scythe (great in power, anyways ^.~), and a large railgun on the other arm. The weapon can pierce through a 10-meter thick carbon nanotube wall, making it one of the strongest weapons ever produced for a medium-sized Mecha. As for the actual design aspects, I took a lot of inspiration from Exo-Force mechs; and quite a bit from Bionicle, as well (the upper legs, some of my favorite parts, are ENTIRELY Bionicle...well, Bionicle and Throwbots.). When it comes to features, this mech has some interesting ones, namely the detachable jetpack, openable jetpack hood, and movable wings, as well as the standard openable cockpit. As for the upper arms, I made them asymmetric. Why? It looked cool =P Seriously though, the upper arms are made to be powerful looking, and the one holding the heavy scythe should obviously have a little more "oomph" in its swing, hence the larger armor there. (That trans-black cockpit looks GREAT as armor btw.) Here we have the back of the mech, showing off the jetpack. It's made almost entirely out of MM parts; with the trans-orange bulb providing a "shield" for the main thruster set. The thrusters themselves are made from two different designs - the left and right thrusters are trans-dark-blue cones with dark-blue Barraki eyes attached to black goblets, while the middle one is another TDB cone with a blue jewel on it - it's attached directly to the plus-rod. But wait...what does this mech have to do with my sig-fig? Does Trexxen even have a sig-fig? Yep, and it's time to unveil it - sort of ^.~ (Note that the head on it is not the actual head, but rather, a "mask" (read: masked head) that allows him to breathe and other such stuff while traveling at high speeds in the mech.) The sig fig (In mech-pilot form) consists of: One OldDarkGrey "sailor hat" (Don't know how to describe it =P) One Head w/ Mask One Ninja Torso Armor, turned backwards One Mars Mission Torso And white legs w/ light grey waist. Of note is the little clip on the side, which is now holding my sig-fig's scythe. As for how to make it... 1 Black Lightsaber Beam 1 Black Ninja Katana 1 Black Technic Pin Connector += (hard to describe the piece =P) There, I hope I've gotten this entry post right...and gotten you to like this mech XD (Also, if anyone wants to see a gallery, I may make a new topic for this mech soon...how soon is unknown though =P) ~Trexxen
  11. ... :'-( Why did I have to blow the last of my money? WHY?!!!?! Alright, that out of the way, this set is shaping up to be amazing - not that I didn't think it would be =P I was one of the few people who has liked every EF set put out so far ^.^ Did you get Storm Lasher? That's my most looked-forward-to set ^.^ ~Trexxen
  12. ...Hey, can someone help me get my jaw off the floor? Anyways, first off, Hinckley is too lucky XD. As for the sets, nothing short of AMAZING. That Battle Arachnoid is going to be my main "army" set this year, but I don't plan to build them - LOOK AT THOSE PIECES! Black EF arms abound, 6 mini-wings per set, the skull-in-the-globe, orange/yellow spikes (lots of them)...I plan to get at least 6 of that baby! ^.^ As for the Dark Panther, again, WOW - PURPLE!!!!!! *drools* I've been hoping for Purple's return for a long time, and even if it's just one EF Mech, it's definitely a start! However, some of the biggest new news is on the lower left of the boxes - look at the piece counts! (131 on the arachnoid, 244 on the panther) This is definitely a return to the "glory days" of EF, where the sets were loaded with useful parts...<3 '08... Now to find pics of Storm Lasher ^.~ ~Trexxen
  13. Wow, this was already a must-buy for me (mainly because I don't have a keiken and I want that torso =P), but now I MUST have this set. The seperation of the top from the rest of the tank actually makes it look much better, and the mini bot looks SWEET! Thanks Hinckley...lucky...=P Also, (sorry for the off-topic-ness) to everyone who has seen '08 sets...I know how unpopular with some of you Bionicle is, but did any of you see ANY of the winter '08 line of them? I'm curious because soon I'll be on my hunt for them, and if they're showing up anywhere else they're probably somewhere near me ^.^ ~Trexxen
  14. I think mine's done! I'm not entirely happy with the color scheme (Well, the basic scheme is good, black and white, but I also have three different trans colors - trans-lime for the gun, trans-orange for the cockpit and booster shell, and trans-dark-blue for the booster =P), but I own...*counts in head* 11 system sets (FOR SHAME! I've been missing out =P) for now, so...=P Not much I can do. Either way, though, I like it, and may have it up sometime tomorrow if I'm lucky. ~Trexxen EDIT: Also, want to give props to every mech so far - they're all better than my entry =P (In a humble artist manner of speaking =P)
  15. Nope, that's definitely not real - it's from a MOC topic on BZPower =P (Besides, look at the font and unevenness of the word "Icarax"! And since when were box pics 3d? >.>; ) ~Trexxen
  16. Actually, I think I'll be entering this. After all, what better way to show off my new sig-fig than this? ^.^ (Oh, and of course, to prove how useful Bionicle parts can be in system mechas =P) *hopes his very unoriginal (due to limited parts) sig-fig hasn't been done yet* ~Trexxen ^.^
  17. Wow, that's amazing! I'm loving the use of the minifigure hands to connect the arms - looks great on this creation. You mention you fit a whole minifigure in there; do you have to destroy the torso to get him out? Also, does it stand sturdily? I'd imagine that the wheels could create a problem with standing... Overall, a very nice, compact MOC - with full marks for creativity, too. Also, just going to take a stab at the mystery anime since I haven't seen anything on that channel for a while - is it Megas XLR? ~Trexxen
  18. Lt. Col. Thok: Thanks! ^.^ Asuka: XD, no offense taken! It kind of does now that I look at it...=P Thanks ^.^
  19. O_o I can't tell where the hull of the ship stops and ends... ...Which is an entirely good thing with an alien ship. As has been said before, very Giger-esque, and the build is...err...confusing? I don't know what to think of it as it's something I definitely couldn't build myself from the pic. Great use of the system, too - makes the cockpit look that much more natural. Were you perhaps going for a more "organic" ship? ~Trexxen
  20. I finally got off my lazy butt and took pics of these because I need some parts for my newer creations. So, what have I made here? Well, firstly, my third, and best, self-MOC, and a "pet" - Dokre, the dragon. We'll start with a group shot, because I just LOVE how I made Trexxen's mechanical hand hold the "leash". Better together...? Note: PLEASE excuse the red friction pins. Black ones are scarce, especially since as I write this I still have 4-5 other complete MOCs still standing, and I've had them since before I made these... Now, let's start with Dokre. He's a dragon from a distant planet. Not a Wyvern, a Dragon. (For those who don't know, Wyverns = two legs, dragons = four.) And boy, is he powerful...that tail's a real meanie. Moo! ...Wait...ROAR! (At this point I must apologize for the state of discontent my MOC table is in. Yes, that is a pizza box in the background -_-...I'm happy that I got my DS in with my PSP this time though. System equality get.) Side. Ready for liftoff... And the underside, for those interested in the construction. MOC Trivia: Dokre was originally intended to be a scorpion, hence the tail. Also note that this creation is amazingly articulate - a total of roughly 26 points of articulation on the beast! And now, for the star of the show - *Dokre bites me* - Sorry...Trexxen! Trexxen, his head held high. Yes, the color distribution with the Takablue is intentional. And the mechanical arm. I love the tubework I did with this arm. I really do. Pulled off the look I wanted nicely... Booster Ring Closeup Attempt 1 That ring was very nonphotogenic -_- Attempt 2... And the plasma sword. MOC Trivia: (Warning! Metroid series content forthcoming - if you haven't played the Metroid Prime series, you're going to have no clue what I'm talking about...) Trexxen is a bounty hunter from an organization called "Bounty Hunters Wanted". (Anyone who goes to GameFAQs may recognize the name.) He has been mutated quite a bit by Phazon, but retains his humanity very well. He cut off his left hand because he needed a way to expel excess phazon from his system without releasing it as gas - it has a built-in beam cannon in the palm (Sorry, couldn't build that) that can fire it out, along with standard beam weaponry. His right hand holds a custom-made Plasma Sword, based off the beam technology. MOC Trivia Part 2: This self-MOC was made for a text-based RPG I'm a member of. =P Well, that's my creations - please review them; I'm curious as to how others will see these creations...^.~ ~Trexxen
  21. At the moment, I am: ~Finishing a revamp of this. ~Creating two rahi; a giant Hahnah crab and a dragon. ~Creating a lego-style (read: non-custom) $15-sized set comprised of a toa of machines and a hoverboard. ~Revamping Hahli Mahri. ~Building my third self-MOC, this one for an RPG I'm in. ~Building a Rahkshi of Evolution based off of a crazy idea I had for a semi-posable rahkshi spine. ~And perhaps a couple of Halloween MOCs... And they'll all be done at the same time if all goes well ^.^ ~Trexxen (AKA The Tilde Master >.>)
  22. DEFINATELY Maxilos and Spinax. I got Hydraxon (mainly for the MOCing parts, mind, but I built him first) and was actually somewhat disappointed - he's a toa with height extensions XD Maxilos has the best articulation I've ever seen in a set. So what if he doesn't have fingers? His TORSO can move like that of a human, and that's unprecedented in Bionicle sets. Plus, who doesn't want that cute little ehlek Spinax? =P
  23. 14 and proud of it. (Though I'm large for my size, so it's really akward walking down the toy aisles - ah well, a kid at heart and age, but not in mass =P) X-D
  24. Hello. My name is Trexxen and I am a lego-holic. *bricked* Hehe. That's punny. *is shot* Alright, alright... In all seriousness, I am Trexxen. Some of you may know me from BZP or have seen my brickshelf (lol yeah right), which contains a few bionicle MOCs (and cream filling!). I came here for a few reasons - one is that I have been lurking here for some time, and the other is the amazing MOCs. And the members are great too ^.^ Although I consider myself first and foremost a bionicle fan, this site has really gotten me thinking about getting back into the classic bricks and mortars of the olden days. Expect to see quite a few posts and quite a few more hours upon hours of lurking, as is my style ^.~ I hail from an incredibly remote part of the United States - Tennessee to be exact. Nothing happens here... However, I do live near good stores that tend to have new sets in stock before most, and old sets on clearance extremely cheap. (Such as Vezon and Fennrak - $8, now that's cheap!) And that's pretty much all I have to rant about. >.>; ~Trexxen (edit: Left out some info =P)
