  1. Based Speeders go vroom? I do think that Lego’s currently pricing out a lot of kid consumers. But if LSW is not for kids anymore then please explain why they are still making 4+ sets and play-sets. The way I see it is that it’s currently for both kids and adults. (Though I do think that there’s been to much emphasis on adults recently) On what evidence? Lego’s profits increase every quarter. With Star Wars constantly being one of the top 5 bestsellers. Sure kids may be losing interest in new content, but many of them still adore the PT, OT and TCW when their parents watch it with them. Which are what the majority of play-sets are based off.
  2. 501st Battlepack 3: Electric Boogalee I admit, I do like the unique design. But the JFO Purge-trooper has much more screen time and is more versatile imo. Hopefully we get some more info on the ARC-170 soon. It’s the only set that seems promising this January.
  3. We, as a matter of fact, never stopped. The Aslume storylines (so far) January: Rise of the Aslume February: Turtle: Month One March: Aslume Knights: Stupid Metal April: The Diss of Superman May: Secrets of the Shadowbox June: The war of Jonkles and Polls July: Turtles in Crisis Early August: Battle for the Shell Mid August: Court of the Turtles Late August: Absolute Aslume September: ? Which storyline is next? Insanest Night? Sanest Day? Aslume: Age of Mandalorian? Kingdom Insane? Crisis on Infinite Aslumes? Aslume: Earth One? Or will we go sane? Nah that’s unlikely. Alfred: “Let me break it down for you Bruce.” I guess Talia was basically Anissa anyway so…
  4. Absolute Nightwing’s origin story. Absolute Flash is just Ezra Miller.
  5. You have my sword No. But they are by far more recognisable than 187th clones. Lego appears to be a bit more lenient on troopers rather than Legends characters. Perhaps it’s Lego being cheap. For every vehicle and character Lego makes in a set they need to pay a licensing cost. Correct? By making the build the same as the character Lego would theoretically need to pay the licensing costs for one Star Wars property. Therefore being a cheaper endeavour than a playset with lots of different figures who would each have individual licensing costs. I hope you’re right. We need to return to 2-3 BPs per year.
  6. Just standard black/ dark grey armour. Not muddy unlike the ones in the 2018 Tie Fighter. I didn’t mention Purge Troopers because Lego stupidly refuses to make JFO sets. The gimmicks don’t even end in the 1HY. It’s just weird. The buildable characters just can’t be doing that well.
  7. Just let them get the Trinity out of the way. DC appears to be cooking with Absolute Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter. Can’t wait for absolute Family Guy. No family, no cutaways, no Meg. Along with his ex-military partner Brian, he must defeat Glen Quagmire and redefine what it truly means to be a Family Guy. But I’m even more excited for Absolute Porky Pig and Absolute Kermit
  8. What reasonable trooper types does Lego still need to make? Off the top of my head I can think of: clean Army Trooper, 501st Stormtrooper, Space Trooper, Clone Commando and a Tie Baron. I’m not going to go down the clone legion rabbit hole.
  9. I guess there’ll probably be a new CMF next year. So I’m going to lay out my predictions. 1) Blacksuit Daredevil 2) White Tiger 3) Muse 4) Iron Heart 5) Sunspot 6) Jubilee 7) Cable/ Bishop 8) Spiderman (YFNS) 9) Doctor Strange (YFNS) 10) 1606 Antman 11) Kahhori 12) Marvel Zombies character
  10. I really like the detailing. The red accents look very sharp. Now, back to Jonkling. @Renny The Spaceman, what is Demolition Dummy’s relationship with Jedi Bob? Bob is similar to Dummy for being a meme and fan-favourite Lego original character. However whilst Dummy has the power to destroy anything he touches, Bob has the power to create anything he wants with the force. Are their powers connected? Is Dummy a force-sensitive? If so wouldn’t that mean that Dummy is a Dark Side user? Perhaps he’s something of a Grey Jedi? Or is Bob the evil one? Does Dummy see through the lies of the Jedi?!!
  11. A good number of the warlords in Mando S3 were in agreement with Pellaeon. So Thrawn should have no trouble in recruiting their forces. Plus Thrawn may bring in a few Chiss EDF ships to aid him. Perhaps captained and crewed by his good friends Senior Captain Ziinda, Senior Captain Samakaro, Skywalker Ch’eri, Thalias, Lieutenant Commander Eli Vanto, Skywalker Vah’nya and Admiral Ar’alani? As previously mentioned Thrawn also has Morgan’s stockpile of resources. And since it was revealed in TOTE that she was a producing Tie Defenders, that makes me think that Thrawn will have a decent amount of those wonderful fighters ready to go. There’s also still the question of what happened to the Defender squadron that was already stationed on the Chimera. And what happened to Commodore Faro. I like those ideas. But where does the obligatory Mara Jade fit into all of this? Either way we appear to be in store for some good Lego sets. 2026 will be a good year for Lego. And my empire!!
  12. Apparently this Batman is a construction worker. So does he throw black bricks instead of batarangs? It would be more in line with the symbol.
  13. Impressive. Most impressive.
  14. Earlier today I was thinking that surely there couldn’t be another collector’s set instead of a play-set in the January wave. But then r/legostarwarsleaks had to pull this on me. Another Midi-scale ship is coming. I reckon that it’s either going to be a Ghost or a Imperial Venator (could be in scale with the new ISD)
  15. Yeah I agree. I’d say that getting the right rank plaque is more important than the code cylinders. Especially as that’s what makes most imperial officers recognisable. Not the small little pens that are barely noticeable. It seems to be a no-brainer. Maybe the reason why we haven’t gotten one yet is because Lego got rid of the death trooper mould? Though then again, they do have the assets available to make purge troopers and storm commandos so that might not be it. Fair enough. I guess that the earliest we could see a Tie Defender from is 2026/27, since Thrawn will probably start up production on them again now that he’s back. A Tie Defender vs New Republic A-Wing set with Zeb and Thrawn could double as a Mando-verse and Rebels set therefore enticing two markets at once. Unrelated I know, but does anyone else hope that Eli Vanto, Commodore Karyn Faro and the Chiss Ascendancy will have some roles to play in the upcoming Heir to the Empire movie? I finished reading the canon Thrawn and Thrawn Ascendancy trilogies a few weeks ago (they are phenomenal btw) and want to see them in Live-Action. (It would be funny if at the start of the Heir to the Empire movie Thrawn says: “Imperial Remnant? What a Joke.” And takes his and Pellaeon’s Fleet back with him to the Chiss Ascendancy to fight the Grysks.)
  16. The streets of Billund will run yellow with melted plastic tonight!
  17. I also think a Tie Reaper would be an excellent set. It’s been a while since we had a bad guy assault shuttle from Lego. Make it a special forces orientated set and it would be extremely popular with AFOLs and Kids.
  18. Right. Every year there seems to be at least one Tie Fighter variant in play-scale form (most years anyway) 2015: FO Tie Fighter and Tie Advanced 2016: Tie Advanced x1 and Tie Striker 2017: Tie Silencer 2018: Tie Fighter 2019: Major Vorang’s Tie Interceptor 2020: Tie Dagger 2021: Tie Fighter 2022: No Tie (the one anomaly of the last 10 years) 2023: Tie Bomber and Tie interceptor 2024: Tie Fighter 2025: ? What are your bets? Tie Defender or Vader’s Tie Advanced are the two most likely imo? The Tie Avenger is probably too similar in shape to the Tie interceptor to warrant a set unfortunately.
  19. So judging by what everyone’s been saying, we need a tower of fate set including Mara Jade and a venom horse. Correct? Am I missing anything? I’d highly recommend watching the TV show on BBC or reading the books. They were honestly what really got me into history (the superior subject). It’s the best kind of educational kids show, funny and informative. (Coincidentally much like my later history teacher) If it’s marine biology you want to learn about… I would recommend another british kids show called Octonauts. My younger siblings used to watch it and it’s where the majority of my knowledge of sea creatures comes from. Glup Shitto is a distinguished veteran of the 42nd Butt-scratcher brigade.
  20. @Big_Daddy Yes but there were still play-sets in March. In 2025 there don’t appear to be any. I know I may be overreacting though.
  21. York is a wonderful city. Very nice bakeries and historical architecture there. As well as a most excellent Tabletop gaming shop. Obligatory song. Why is it that whenever a thread becomes an aslume there are british topics involved?! It starts with a “Tower of Fate,” Mara Jade or Venom Horse and then rapidly evolves into something that’s terrifyingly insane. That would actually be an excellent Marvel D2C. And then DC can have a modular Arkham or Daily Planet. (Or Oa!!!)
  22. Venomized Luke’s Landspeeder will release shortly after that. But not before the Venomized Batmobile with Venomized Man and Anti-Venomized Jonkler. Iron Patriot Hulkbuster would slap though.
  23. Why do I feel like there may be less than 10 normal Play-sets next year?
