Every year there seems to be at least one Tie Fighter variant in play-scale form (most years anyway) 2015: FO Tie Fighter and Tie Advanced 2016: Tie Advanced x1 and Tie Striker 2017: Tie Silencer 2018: Tie Fighter 2019: Major Vorang’s Tie Interceptor 2020: Tie Dagger 2021: Tie Fighter 2022: No Tie (the one anomaly of the last 10 years) 2023: Tie Bomber and Tie interceptor 2024: Tie Fighter 2025: ? What are your bets? Tie Defender or Vader’s Tie Advanced are the two most likely imo? The Tie Avenger is probably too similar in shape to the Tie interceptor to warrant a set unfortunately.

I’d highly recommend watching the TV show on BBC or reading the books. They were honestly what really got me into history (the superior subject). It’s the best kind of educational kids show, funny and informative. (Coincidentally much like my later history teacher) If it’s marine biology you want to learn about… I would recommend another british kids show called Octonauts. Why do I feel like there may be less than 10 normal Play-sets next year?

One of the reasons that 2013 was such a great year was because of an entire wave was dedicated to one battle. (IMO at least) I think that Lego should try to do this every 3-5 years. As it’s such a cool concept and a display of how interconnectivity between sets can work brilliantly. You know, I think we’re very likely to get a new A-Wing next year. It’s an iconic vehicle and the last one was in 2019.

If they did a series 2, I’m actually curious on how they’d do Batman and Wonder-woman. Superman would probably get his classic version. But Batman and WW got theirs last CMF. They’ll either go silver age or have some sort of elseworld/ one-off version. My ideal list of characters (updated): Kyle Rayner (with Bd’g accessory), Bleez (with Dextarr and wings accessories), Flashpoint Batman (Gun and a Joker calling card), Wally West, Captain Atom, Powergirl, Yara Flor, Batgirl (Stephanie Brown), Classic Superman, Classic Braniac, Joker (Painted Bat-suit) and Vixen.

But really a Vice-Admiral like Sloane really should be called a Fleet Vice-Admiral. The Imperial Rank structure is riddled with contradictions. Honestly we need an ISD Bridge Diorama with a bunch of different ranks. Lieutenant, ISD Captain, Admiral, Fleet Admiral and Commodore are certain ranks that come to mind.

I really hope that it’s Black Suit Spiderman in the Mech. Why else would they use Anti-venom instead of venom or carnage. As for my thoughts on the Modular next year. IMO it will either be Arkham or Malibu Mansion. I highly doubt it would be the Daily Planet or Oscorp. As both could impact the sales of the Daily Bugle.

I’m referring to single line ranks. According to the canon Thrawn Books, Admirals are in command of a Task-force of a ISD and 2-4 Light cruisers. A SSD is the equivalent of 12 ISD’s therefore that leads me to believe that Piett needs to be at least a Fleet Admiral to command one. Vice-Admirals are below Fleet Admirals but above standard Admirals. I know it’s extremely weird(Disney really needs to publish a proper Rank ID system) Thrawn in TOTE is in command of a fleet of 3 ISDs. And has a rank Plaque of 6 Blue Squares. Leading me to believe that that’s the Rank of an Admiral.

Anyone in command of a SSD is at least a fleet admiral
