  1. It would be weird to get sets for a movie which will never release.
  2. But before that we have RTG. And that’s shaping up to be peak as well. Skeleton Crew I’m quite worried about to be honest. Especially after the reports of bad test scores. There are three things I’d like to see from for that movie: The Live-action debut of the Victory-class star destroyer, a Lego ITT and a Lego New Republic Delphi Airbase. Also we’re almost certainly going to be getting an AT AT vs a minifigure scale Mando’s AT RT at some point. If not I will cry.
  3. Are we expecting a comic or movie based superman figure in the mech? I for one wouldn’t mind absolute power superman, with the mech being an oversized version of one of the Super-Corp power suits.
  4. My Wishlist for next year’s May/ summer wave: (I would be overjoyed at any of these) New Tie Defender Tie Reaper (RO based) ITT (Either Mandalorian or Rebels based) New A-Wing New Corporate Alliance Tank Droid New Endor Bunker AT RT microfighter AT AP Executor Bridge diorama Imperial Army BP
  5. So let me get this straight, there are eleven confirmed sets for the first two waves of next year. And only two of them are system play-sets?! WTH is happening?!
  6. White Lantern Kyle is the perfect character to include in a CMF. It’s a cool variant that’s well known but doesn’t jeopardise the set potential for say a GL Mecha (where Kyle would make most sense since he’s the weeb lantern) Star Sapphire is now the more likely to get now more than ever. Since she’s now part of the new JL line-up. But Kyle is far more iconic than Jo. Also he has far more set potential since he’s the most creative GL. Yeah. Arkham would be a great modular! Add Steph, Cass, Kiteman (HELL YEAH!!!) and Red Robin. And then it would be a masterpiece. Kyle is the GL with the best design. I don’t care what CBR says. In all seriousness, if Lego ends up making a GL mech in the next 2 years (imo increasingly likely because A) GL relevance will increase because of Superman and Lanterns and B) the Superman mech this January) it would be a kriffing war-crime for the figure to not be either Hal or Kyle. (Nothing against the others, but they are the ones who make mech constructs the most.) I think I’ve figured what the DCU is leading into. This theory takes into account James Gunn’s statements and the confirmed characters. James Gunn is introducing the JLI in Superman. He’s also said that Lanterns will focus on an ancient evil that will be important to the overarching story. I believe this ancient evil is the Manhunters. And that Gunn is planning a crossover movie based off the Millennium event, during which the JLI played an important part. (It had better include my boy G’Nort if that’s what Gunn’s going for.
  7. They better not be stopping the Dioramas before they make a ISD bridge!! It would be such a missed opportunity. As for TV shows. I feel like the Cadet Training from both Clone Wars and Rebels would make excellent dioramas.
  8. Apologies for my tardiness to this leadership discussion. In my defence, I’ve spent the last week breaking out of a Blacktron Gulag. So Turtle is really gone. An unfortunate loss. We didn’t see eye to eye on most things. But he was still a fellow inmate. And a most excellent Jonkler. “Now the old king is dead, Long Live the King.” - Coldplay I feel that “managed” democracy is a much better course of action. For Super Aslume!!!! Summon the Hell-Jonklers!! In Turtle’s honour, I will make this bet. If there is a Kyle Rayner figure next year I will change my name to TurtleCommando99. (Until the set in question releases) You guys can make a fitting profile pic if you wish. One that echoes the statement @THELEGOBATMAN made about 2 months ago.
  9. Hey guys. Let’s put aside this culture-war and conflicting interpretation discussion for a bit. I think I’ve cracked the Corn-cob conspiracy. And who his true master really is. It was never Lord Vortech. It was never Brickheadz Joker. In fact it was never about the multiverse. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Aslume. I ask you these questions. Why has Corn-cob been so keen to improve the technology of the LCPD by leaps and bounds every year? Why has he gradually been militarising the LCPD? Why has he been turning Lego City into a police state? And more importantly, why did he shut down the Space Police, ADU, Galaxy Squad and any other planetary defense units without any reasonable explanation. In all of Lego history there has only been one faction that has been as militaristic, ruthless and cunning as Corn-cob has shown himself to be. This faction has slowly been expanding outwards from the darkness reaches of space since their supposed ultimate defeat at the hands of the Space Police and Ice Rangers in the early 2000s. This faction has been known for its covert use of operatives to achieve its objectives which ultimately leads to the total domination of all Lego peoples. Over the past few year’s more and more of this faction’s operatives have become increasingly prevalent. First this faction deployed an advanced robot soldier, then they dispatched their most elite bounty hunter in 2019 but what makes me certain of this theory is that one of their cruisers was spotted in plain sight last year. My fellow Lego Lore Lovers, it has become obvious. Corn-cob’s hatred of the extraterrestrial authorities, his xenophobia to non-human species and most importantly his militant attitude more than suggest that he is in fact an agent of the Blacktron Conglomerate. He has placed Lego City under his control and by extension its citizens so that he can raise an army for Blacktron to aid in their conquest of the universe. He disbanded Space Police, because they had experience in fighting Blacktron forces. It makes too much sense. Deploy the demolition dummy. NOW!! He needs to destroy all the ground vehicles before Blacktron arrives to collect their new ordinance. Before it’s too late and the universe is doomed to succumb to the might of the Blacktron Conglomerate!
  10. I wonder why Lego doesn’t make videogame sets. I get that they’ve said that JFO is too violent, and that’s a relatively reasonable excuse. But there is literally no logical reason why Lego shouldn’t release an Outlaws set to tie-in with release. Edit: Damn guys. We made it to 200. And the year’s not even over yet. Let’s try get another 100 in before the 2025 thread opens.
  11. I just watched Deadpool and Wolverine. I really want some sets.
  12. I’m still trying to figure out the New 52 Green Lantern timeline!!!
  13. 14. Can we please go back to the Lego canon conspiracy. This culture war discussion is getting tedious.
  15. Nah. Let the DC fans get the modular next year. It’s probably the year where a Daily Planet would be most likely.
  16. Exactly. I don’t mind race and gender swapping at all if it’s done well. But it feels completely unnecessary at times. For example: the new Mrs Freeze in SSKTLJ is annoying because Killer Frost literally exists. Damn! Turtle started a whole culture war with 1 post. Just shows how he’s been manipulating us with every move he makes. Is Turtle Brickheadz Joker’s account so that he can play mind-games with his investigators. Luigi must have role in this. It makes too little sense for him not to. No. No. No. Sure you’ll be able to depower superman with Gold Kryptonite. But he’ll still come for you in his mech. I think they’re looking for Pink Kryptonite. That way, not only is Superman distracted but so are the rest of the JL. (With the bonus of potential paralysis or death of the less durable heroes) Does anyone have a mind-map or something going of everything we’ve deciphered about the Corn-cob conspiracy? I am starting to think that the people of Lego City are complicit in cannibalism and using dead flesh as bricks. I am convinced that the entire place has to go. Demolition Dummy is hereby authorised full Lethal Force when the time comes. Okily dokily. I wonder if he’ll ever return?
  17. Maybe Lego should invest in making more figures at around Hagrid’s size. The Thing, Kingpin, Venom, Parasite, Bane, Kilowog, Atrocitus and Arkillo could really be done justice at that size.
  18. Have we considered the possibility that the reason there are so few corpses in Lego City because Corn-cob melts down the flesh to make new bricks for his police vehicles?
  19. All these 18+ Star Wars sets and Lego still won’t make Star Wars modulars. There’s a big difference here. Cody and Rex’s helmets had different a shape and colour-scheme to eachother. This is just the same helmet shape twice over with similar colour scheme. Can’t wait for the 2026 buildable Glup Shitto.
  20. I just received a message from my future self in 2030. Battlepacks, Micro-fighters and mechs no longer exist. 10 buildable characters released that year alone. 5 new minifigs! Way more than the previous year. 6 play-sets in total: 4 of which are the annual Luke’s Landspeeder, Tie Fighter, X-Wing and 501st vehicle. UJ/ it actually sucks. Who the Kriff is buying all these buildable characters?!!! Especially Chewie. Who thinks that ugly nerf-herder of a build is worth £200?!!!
  21. Interesting theory. Welcome to our enlightened debate. But that doesn’t explain why the Action theme characters have gone missing. But a good theory none the less.
  22. There’s a silver lining here. Lego doesn’t release sets like this by themselves. They usually have a companion set or two on release date. There is hope for a Battlepack.
  23. Time is definitely a flat circle. “You either die a hero or live long enough to see your become a villain.” RDJ is a great actor. And it should honestly be fine as long as he doesn’t remove the mask. But it is very weird and it does scream desperation on Marvel and Disney’s part. And even if he does take the mask off he should be scarred beyond recognition. I only need Captain America, Spider-man Thor and War-machine on the team to make it a worthwhile Avengers roster.
  24. Ah yes. My favourite Marvel hero. Batman. I really enjoyed the scene in endgame where he used the infinity gauntlet to wipe his cowl’s ears from existence, becoming his ultimate form. You all know what it is.
  25. It looks great! Now bring me Lanterns!!! I’m conflicted on the new DC logo. On the one hand it gives awesome retro vibes, but on the other I liked the smooth, clean cut aesthetic of the current one. @Renny The Spaceman, where do you think Corn-cob is holding all his political enemies? (Such as ADU Agents, Ultra Agents, Alpha Team …. Et cetera? Corn-cob wouldn’t put them in the normal prisons as they are easy to break out from. My god! You’re on to something. Though I definitely think he’s gone evil as that figure has been seen using dynamite to blow up civilian buildings. But the Game is afoot! Edit: after doing some reviewing of the space CMF we do now have the connection between Alien Conquest and Galaxy Squad. And by extension Monster Fighters and Ultra Agents. So I guess they are now connected as of this year.
