OK, this is the last batch, as the contest closes today... I stupidly told myself that I'd match everyone on EB in quantity, if not quality; DP8 and Dr. S were no problem, but Sir Nadroj kept churning them out, so I had to follow suit, although I ran out of steam ( :-P ) by the time he had built the I-phonograph, so I only did 4 |-/ But here's the Mephistopheles, flown by Capt. Jas Matthew ;-) I got kinda lucky with the Bionicle canister lid (?) - I found it in the street back in 2003 and have never used it until now X-D <insert that tiresome argument> on! New steam; I don't know if you like this, but I think it goes quite well... Capt. Jas Matthew... 49 Pieces. And the Steamstung... I kept telling myself I wouldn't do something like this, but I did X-O 35 Pieces. Which of my 4 do you think is best? - - Elliecopter - Skulchuggery - Mephistopheles - Steamstung And do I stand a chance of winning something? Other entries... *sweet* Enjoy!

My Licensed entry: Sinner Computing! 14 pieces, including Walrus... Comes with Walrus Nerd, chair, computer, coffee and computer b*g (I know he doesn't like that word in the same sentence as his name ;-) )...
-
I'd say that that's actually quite expensive - I got the same thing, with tray and 11 extra figures, for $110... X-O Me too, although I got the BSB first, as it was cheaper... ;-) Not yet... :-P

My Parole Officer Said It Would Be Good to Meet New People..

Hey! *y* Pirates on! Castle on! SW...well, not quite so on... X-D Which castle sets do you have? For Pirates, I would buy the Black Seas Barracuda first, the legendary ship of Captain Roger! It's the cheapest of all the ships in a price-to-pieces ratio and arguably the best looking... ;-) I'll set you a challenge. Enter the CCIV (Classic Castle Contest 6) this year; you'll need a fair amount of parts, but you'll gain a load of experience, like I did! Here's the link to last year's; this year's should start around October and it ends in the beginning of January, so you have plenty of time to build it and amass some key parts! May I suggest Bricklink for individual parts? *sweet* -
ASK HERE How to clean your LEGO sets/parts?
SlyOwl replied to jngunsw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Faded parts, no. Yellowed parts (white, grey, maybe blue), yes. Clicky. ;-) -
Thanks! *y* That's why I did a second ;-) Hmm...you said that about it in Cheddar Gorge, no? X-D True, it didn't fit in too well there, but for Steampunk, I feel that the "chug" it gives off works well ;-) As for ice creams, I don't have any, and from what I gather off BL, they're quite expensive |-/
-
And here's my second entry... Skulchuggery! No prizes for guessing where I got the name :-| And, yes, I really need to stop using my elephant's head *sad* @SirNadroj: I know you don't like this torso, but I don't want to go down the Harry Cane route, and it's the only decent one I've got :-$ Parts: 45 Enjoy! *y* N.B. I created another thread to make it easier for the judge to judge it, rather than having to go to the second page of my other thread ;-) I hope that's OK...

Just seeing if anyone noticed ;-)
-
:'-( I'm sorry 8-| My quesion was totally unrelated; I'm reading a book about Captain Hook's early days and I wondered if anyone had any information on the colour of his blood, given that questions were generally in the air :-$
-
Well, I've updated the main picture to be sharper and better colour balanced, with a few of the folds in the background cloth smudged out...I hope it's better 8-| Why thankee! :-P 8-| You mean you won't have picnics on the roof when you're an old(er) man? X-D
-
I saw that, you edited your post X-D I take it you're not going to be naming the rest of the cast... ;-)
-
And here be his arch enemy, Cutthroat Jake! X-D
-
That wasn't my original idea *wacko* I was going to do a concert to start with, with an exploding rubbish bin e.t.c...but then that got sidelined for other contests. Then when you rushed me, I started trying to do a Hippy Battle Wheel based on the Troll Battle Wheel, but using a litter-firing version of the standard Viking multi-fire thing, but I couldn't get to build it in a TLC way... ;-) If you'd browsed my BS, you would have seen an early form of the lampost from my first attempts back when this contest started :-P
-
Tomayto Tomarto. X-D
-
Um...a pipe X-D One of the old men having a picnic is smoking it ;-) I think B. got very lucky; his swimming pool froze over and the icebergs are small clumps of snow that settled on top; they have all the luck in Blegium |-/
-
I've never seen this technique used anywhere before, so I'll claim credit, unless someone else can prove they used it first ;-) Unfortunately the whole MOC used up all but 4 of my yellow hands :'-( I have one too! According to a novel I am reading, Captain J. Hook had yellow blood - is there any reference to this in Peter Pan?
-
I found them, but I closed the window and I can't be bothered to trawl through 20+ pages of your threads :-$ I think you misunderstood; I didn't mean that it should be called a Bignette, but that it is all to appropriate as it shows a dead Mr Phes *sad* But you can still do the killing! X-D

OOH! OOH! I missed the greatest Pirate film of all time: Captain Pugwash X-D
-
You mean you won't party on the roof when you're an old(er) man? X-D Although I "borrowed" it off Bonaparte... ;-) I went for a slight cartoon effect, and theym's black in cartoons :-P Yes, Nassau Port was the inspiration for this MOC's name, although I had already built the larger part of it before the name came about. I wanted to use an authentic Pirate Port name, but of the main 3, Tortuga, Port Royal and Nassau, only Nassau seemed appropriate - Tortuga is too wild for my port and Port Royal had too large an Imperial presence... ;-) I sometimes wonder if you own any sets apart from Pirate ones...you seem to have no knowledge of any theme but Pirates; you didn't even know who the Crownies were! X-O He isn't an official figure, y'know ;-) It's Max/Rudo Villano's torso from the Jungle Adventurers and Gilbert the Bad's head from Knight's Kingdom I. But I've been beaten to it |-/

Really? I thought my collection was small when compared to many people on here; 12000 pieces at the most. X-D As for the "obscure" bricks, I simply add about 5 strange but possibly useful bricks onto each Bricklink order I do, so I build them up that way. First I go through every category adding the parts I need and want, with any "could be useful" pieces I see, and then knock off most of the pieces as I'm liable to overspend. Then I check that I've got some "could be useful" parts relatively cheaply, and voila! ;-) I think it's not the position of the mast, but the sail. It was originally designed as a 3-sail sloop, but I couldn't scale the sails well enough or get the right shape. Furthermore, the vertical prow and stern are more Viking-like - Pirates had more curved and angled tips to their boats...so I see where you're coming from ;-) I believe that it's a Homemaker figure hand, although it's been used for other stuff too...

Curses! I thought I was going to be the last entry X-D
