  1. You'd be surprised. Over on Classic-Castle, they put <>< in the signatures... ;-)
  2. Good! *y* I wouldn't recommend using that 2x3 yellow slope in the sand, for consistency's sake. :-/ As for the sail, it's a great touch! But where did you get it? It looks to me like the SES one - do you have it?
  3. Thanks! Um...I tried to give the MOC a generic name that could stand for either the building or the battle, like my Tirachinas, or DNL's Hrotingas; I don't really know which it refers to. As for the origins of the name, a good ol' gard in there (Northern sounding - hence the ice) and the rest just came from my imagination! No taxes! >:-) As for the penguin, it's not actually my design; I think BS member adsilcott came up with it first, although since then it's become quite widely known ;-)
  4. Interesting...I've got an old 4x4 plate with "Pat. Pending" on the bottom...
  5. My version: The Pirates are sick of their inexperienced Captain who hogs all the jelly... X-D
  6. The crown has had the jewel implanted and the nose-piece removed; the dragon helmet has had the chin guards removed and the silver sword had been "sharpened"... ;-)
  7. It is their policy on religion and politics; I just thought it might be helpful :-$
  8. Perhaps... But that would be inherently Christian...
  9. Hey! *sweet* Firstly, you're famous! As far as I know, many people, even non-Lego/Christian, are aware of your project. *y* Secondly, although I disagree with some of your interpretations, representations or omissions, your work has a certain aspect to it that makes it attractive. I am aware that you have had some criticism over your choice of passages (fighting, rape), but I understand that this is practically a necessity as they are the most physically representable parts, and therefore the most interesting. Thirdly, a small criticism - I don't like your over-customization; for example, in this scene: I see little reason to modify the crown and the dragon helmet :-/ But that's just my opinion... Fourthly, have you any other non-Biblical MOCs? Finally, keep up the good work! Bearskin hat, or something like it.
  10. And another entry, with lots of quotes >:-) Enjoy! *sweet*
  11. So magnets will become even more expensive *sad* But do magnets inside motors count? 8- Not from you. *sing*
  12. A good start! *y* However, as Phes pointed out, there is a lot of clutter - for example, are the treasure chest and barrel really necessary? Furthermore, there is no clear focal point for it; if you were to build a larger, more ship-like window and take the photo through that, with the mutineers around the Captain's back. As for photography, would you be able to turn that blue thing on its side to get a larger, more consistent background? Or a piece of white A4 paper works very well. That said, it's a great concept! *sad*
  13. *y* It looks a bit like the Sarlac? :-D Unfortunately I read this with an nch in there! X-D
  14. I've just looked throgh the instructions on Peeron, and I should be able to build it with spare parts, except the trans-red panel and the head block! I have it in grey, but not black *sing* But do you prefer tabbed or non-tabbed hoses? It's non-tabbed for me, as the ends can be taken off to get a nice piece of flexible tubing, and the ends can make smoother cones than the 1x1 cones...
  15. But I wants it cheap! *sing* And I would still call 324 quite rare. And I also want to just tack it onto another order. *sad*
  16. Yes, when the server switched over, all the links on Classic-Pirates died. Phes fixed most of them, but I think that the Forum one was missed... 8-|
  17. Does it have to be Town? *pirate* And where's the entry thread? :-P
  18. Great job guys! Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart! And you'll never walk alone, You'll never walk alone! :-P I second this! *y*
  19. A great review for a great set! It even had the old technic T-pieces and bevels, which I actually prefer to their modern counterparts. I got mine for £20 in a second hand shop; it said complete, but one of the screw knuts was missing! X-O So it's practically impossible to keep the back arm on with only one |-/ And they're rather rare on BL too |-/
  20. Welcome! I have all the Spyrius sets too, except the Recon Robot and this set: Do you have this one? I thought it was quite rare... (They speak Dutch in Holland, not Spanish) X-D
  21. Could do with a little smoothing, but great work! And I like your frequent use of the Ninja torso; I find mine most appealing in a Piratical context *wub* Regarding the smoothing; do you have many blue bricks? You could go SNOT (Studs Not On Top) for the water; build a large blue wall, turn it on its side and put the rest on top, using technic beams and studs. If not, it doesn't matter, but it could work well. Example: Self-promotion ON! X-D
  22. Mine is only worth about a $1200, although it does contain a fair amount of Mindstorms stuff, so my standard MOCing package is less than that. That's why I can't keep MOCs and why I spend carefully *sad* When I was 7, I used to have nightmares about burglars stealing my Lego; they'd have a reason to now! :'-(
