  1. Who is SkyOwl? You know, you can change your Location in your Profile, which will then appear under your avatar
  2. Wow. I hate being staff $500? That's a lot $20 a day! But I got lucky today by pranking my sister's Advent Calender - last night, I removed the chocolate from Day 24 without breaking the foil (I slit open the top of the box, pulled out the plastic tray and cut two perpendicular slits in the back of the plastic, so I could remove the chocolate, whilst the remnants of the foil after she'd opened it would cover the 2 slits). It was hilarious
  3. Done! 1. Um... they could go under what you think they'd look like when rigged, or you could have an unsorted section at the end, for all the odds and ends that don't fit anywhere really (like Phred's turtle sub and my steampunk ship). 2. Added! 67d 3. Just post a link here and they'll find their way in. I was under the impression it was a bark Then again, I don't know much about ships at all. That'd be cool I am? Ooh! Yay! I'm just guessing most of the time, here
  4. Thanks Yup! Dunno - it's kinda Secret Hideout, kinda Misc. I don't know This is no mine, it's a tomb! It was pretty heavily influenced by Moria/Dwarrowdelf. As for structure, a whole load of jumper plates and hinges at ridiculous angles hold the different sections together; kind of like this - - but only more complicated. It's actually reasonably strong, although it tends to fall apart when you move it, as there's no baseplate. The brown lightsaber bar in the crack to the left of the stairway is ridiculously loose - it's held in by the horizontal pressure of the two "rockfaces", and pings out if you so much as nudge the MOC. I'm confused Sure! They're just attached by:
  5. Good to see those customs being used! Welcome to the index Are those torsos in the far right corner from the ambassador keychain? You don't have to "qualify" for the index (although more than 1 man is a requirement ), it's just a matter of when I have time and can be bothered Welcome aboard!
  6. Welcome aboard! It's not a matter of "qualifying", you'll be added when I have time - and can be bothered!
  7. Captain Greenbeard has done one - There are also some floating around in the Ship MOC Index, which may be of help
  8. Good work! It turns out that my latest update to the index didn't save, so I've re-added a couple of ships on the end, after 65c. Would it be a good idea to have some sort of naming system between the two indices? For example, if you give each of the ship types a number, and each ship under that category gets a reference code (for example two letters), then the resulting name will be (for example): 65a12cg, where 65a is the ship's number in the unsorted index, 12 is the ship type, and cg is the number of that ship in that ship type (in this case, the equivalent of 59). Maybe it's too much work, but may be worth considering. I've fixed those - thanks for the heads-up It's some sort of glitch that breaks all the links by adding in extra http:// and "" everywhere And yes, it looks like they are Although that is someone else's fault
  9. The boat looks really good now! The sails are much improved, but I especially like the rudder - I'll have to look into getting some of those lightsaber handles. The yellow trim is surprising, but I think it works well. I also like the grey/tan integration and how it continues into the fort
  10. Wot you throw at a wabbit.
  11. The bigger, the better! Vote now! Votes have been cast for the Small and Medium Divisions - have you won? Hang in there with us!
  12. 17. LegoJoe - Fall of the survivors 16. SirNadroj - Quartering the Quartermasters 9. Majek - There will be bang I'm surprised so few people have voted for LegoJoe - I really like his entry. It reminds me a lot of Sinner's How do you kill a skellie? Contest Entry last year Only a few hours left to vote, people! (@ 11:24 GMT)
  13. Harr! Harr! 16 studs square, say they! Read the rules carefully, and vote now! You've cast your vote for the Small Division - but who has won? Stay tuned!

(@ 12.17pm GMT)
  15. Wow. I really enjoyed looking at this! I don't understand mecha at all, but in this case, the sheer "jagged" texture and huge number of different angles that you don't get in other themes (like town) is amazing! The insides of the wings are probably my favourite part, followed by the "spikes" on the shoulders I wonder - if you lengthened the wings slightly, would it be able to rest on them instead, removing the need for the support?
  16. Lookin' good! Please tell me you're going to tile the deck in brown? It'll be so much easier to keep dust-free, and the minifigs will always be falling over, just like in one of my MOCs! But if you don't, I'll never talk to you again Awesome! Are you going to have other stuff like this (like that topic about how to get cannons in and out by twisting a capstan)? And pleeeeease have a compulsory collapsing mast! And a monkey, parrot and shark And rather a small Christmas tree...
  17. Lotsnipe.com places a bid for you at nearly the last second (you can pay to get it in the last second), and that way you can save money. Yup, I too use that
  18. It was a mistake! Lucky ! It may have originally been a mistake by TLC, and the seller just passed it on, or he/she may have had a spare, and was trying to get rid of their whole Lego collection, so just added it in. I frequently get a couple of extra pirates and weapons when I get stuff of eBay
  19. Voting has begun 43 fantastic entries... But which ones top your list? Read the rules carefully, and have your say!
  20. I checked a Woolworths last weekend, and all sets were full price (they only had City, Bionicle and some Exo-Force) However, they did have 7998 Heavy Hauler at half-price (£17.49), although it's half-price just about everywhere, so nothing special there.

  23. Vig. 49a Obxcrew turns his vignette-building skills to pirates - and just look at the result! Check out the great bird, and use of a dementor cape for a torn sail!
  24. Thankee The ones using the minifig arms are in fact designed by Jalkow, although I adapted the technique with the viking horn. White Bad lighting I actually discovered pistols for table legs during the CCCV, but have never used it. In case you cared Yup, although you'll want to credit Jalkow for the one with the arm (see above).
  25. 'Pologies for the photos - stupid winter
