  1. As someone who defended the original set, I have to say this is a huge improvement and something I might do whenever I get this set. Still going to add TV cameras and lights to make it more like a TV set though.
  2. We call them scalpers. Unfortunately toys are a huge money maker for them, especially the minifigs, so any they see as valuable (Like Animal Control, Shark Guy, Farmer, Queen, etc.) they'll feel for and buy all of and sell on eBay at an inflated price. I personally don't see the point, as the profit isn't really worth the trouble once you factor in buying the product to begin with along with gas, you basically break even, maybe only have a buck or two profit. I can understand waiting until the series is discontinued, but while they're still available in stores it's kind of pointless. Besides, these characters are easy to feel for (AC's skunk, Farmer's pig, Queen's dress, etc.)
  3. My thoughts: Mickey/Minnie: I lumped them together since they share the same head mold (Which looks pretty good) and I see Minnie and Daisy share the same bow piece, but both look great. Not on top of my list, but still up there. Donald/Daisy: Same old song and dance here, though they look a little creepy to me compared to the Mice. Daisy I could see use from in parts, but I'm not sure on Donald. Maleficent: Must have, everything about her is perfect and she retains that Lego look some of the other minifigs don't have. Genie: While I want to love this figure, and I do, the face I'm not 100% sold on. This is a case where I would have preferred a molded head. Still getting him though Aladdin: Perfect, though I wish he had something like Abu instead of another lamp, but still useful. Ariel: Another perfect figure, but again, I would have preferred a companion as an accessory like Flounder or Sebastian. We have the mold for both unlike Abu, so missed opportunity. Ursula: Beautiful, though her mouth is a bit un-Legolike to me. Still I love the hairpiece. Alice: Awesome skirt piece and her face, while looking odd, works for me. The accessories are a great touch Cheshire: Simple, but I love this figure. Head's perfect, nice use of Rocket's tail, nothing wrong with this one. Peter Pan: My second favorite of this set. Everything about him is perfect Hook: His face ruins the figure for me. Everything else is fine and dandy, but that face looks like it's too detailed to me. Alien: Updated version of the TS3 aliens. Cool but not on my to get list. Buzz: I'm in the camp of the minifig head being better than a mold. He has that Lego look to him and I see this as a beautiful update to the original figure. Mr. Incredible: Love the hairpiece, probably my 5th favorite in the set. I do find it odd he has white inside the mask though. Syndrome: Face looks kind of Chinese knock-offish, but the hair and everything else makes up for it. Stitch: Perfect, though his head's a bit big. For a mascot though, he works. Overall, about half of this set I would buy, the other half I'd either be happy to get as a gift or avoid.
  4. The animal suited characters have proven to be big hits and chase figures in the past, so I don't see Shark Guy being any different. The Queen and Ballerina will likely be sought after too. I'm certain the Satyr will be pretty high up there as well, but judging by eBay, likely Shark Guy is going to be the big one of the set, just like the many mascot figures that came before him. It's funny, all of the ones I've been looking for have been rather cheap (Wrestler, Janitor, Clumsy guy) , with the exception of Animal Control.
  5. I have a couple of non-Dr. Who ones to share. David Hasselhoff Donald Trump
  6. I really don't pay attention. Even if they did, not really their business. Remember, when you point a finger, three more are pointing back at you. We all have hobbies which may be odd or weird to someone else. People collect Lego, action figures, shoes, anything really. Some people even collect trash. It's a psychological thing really. We love to judge people for their hobbies, not for their character.
  7. You're better off just getting the set if you find it on sale. If you only buy the figures, it'll add up to the set price anyway, so why not get it and have a ton of useful parts?
  8. Dead eh? Well I got a few more to share! This first one was inspired by a Jaboody Dubs video. You get a cookie if you get it! "Broken leg? Don't be silly, you just need motivation, and I'm just the man to give it! Throw that crutch away!" This one plays with scale a bit, as I used my Marvel Legends Pizza Spidey in the shot.
  9. I've yet to get a Bane so I'll be sure to pick him up, and Slimer is essential for some of the puzzles out there. Plus I want his figure without paying a king's sum for it. As for this wave, I'm going to see if I can just find the discs for Aquaman and Superman, as I already have multiples of their figures and Stay Puff is a must. I have Midway coming in since I found it for $20 and I'm an arcade nut.
  10. I've been out of the loop for Dimensions lately, that wave 4 kind of snuck under me. I definitely need to get Midway soon, since I'm glad they actually have the classic games instead of a 100% legofied version like in the level in the main game. Would have been fun, but that's just me.
  11. True, I'm just trying for find the silver lining, aside from the minifigs. Still going to wait for a sale regardless if it was everything we expected.
  12. I'm in agreement that the set is pretty overpriced all things considered. I mean it's a great start for a classic Batcave, but I'm personally going to wait until a sale before I throw down cash on it. I have a theory: We've been spoiled by the GB firehouse and how amazing that was despite its price tag, that this one looks underwhelming in comparison. That and like I mentioned before, the design may be intentional to resemble a set from the TV show, hence the unfinished look. I even mentioned building a couple of TV cameras to add to the mix and give that impression that it's a TV show set, which is why I think the set has "Camera friendly" angles.
  13. I ordered one piece I needed just to give it a shot (Finn/Winston's updated hair). If everything's good I may have to go back on a regular basis.
  14. "Tony Stark thinks he's the only Hulkbuster around here"
  15. Thanks! I had a couple of orange bolts lying around from a Ninjago set and thought it'd make a good base for a proton beam. The lighting and lightning were both Photoshop of course. I have another with the same technique, but IDK if this would count as a funny. Hulkbustin makes me feel good!
  16. Call it a hunch but I think it might be Jay from Ninjago.
  17. Egghead has arrived, and I'm very pleased with him! The hands are a bit dirty, but other than that (I changed them out after shooting this) I am very impressed with him. Xinh did a fantastic job, this is right up there with SY or Decool and for less than a dollar, I feel I got more than my money's worth.
  18. Good God, don't remind me of that Lego Movie set. That's what people think of when they think the word "bootleg"I don't think I saw the other set though.
  19. Yeah I'm a little hesitant on Egghead too but I really only wanted the head and torso. I can change out his arms and legs.
  20. That Crossbones looks amazing, though I have to question why Thor and Spidey have guns but Winter Soldier doesn't.
  21. What happens when Cybermen are hired by Microsoft to force upgrades to Windows 10 among its customers, even forcing Stark to convert Jarvis.
  22. I wouldn't rule out more characters. We still need Gozer and Vigo, but that poses an issue with the builds.
  23. Trust me, it'll all be worth it in the end. I'm sorry it's been giving you grief man.
  24. After a long update (PS3) I can say the Ghostbusters level was well worth it. Cyberman and Doc are also fun to play as
