Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Black Falcon replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Why surprised? We had some parts that were exclusive to GWPs at Pick a brick, such as the Blacktron Minifig but the majority of them isn´t avaiable really. So while there was a chance it could show up, I didn´t put to much hope into it. -
I just googled it and they are brickbuilt - so if they make a set to acompany the game, they would very likely also use the brickbuild version then.

The minifigure you were searching for is Queenie Goldstein from Fantastical Beasts. First picture, first ship is 75179 Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter, the second 75214 Anakin's Jedi Starfighter and the fourth is the 76081 Milano vs. The Abilisk The left helicopter from your second picture is from Jurassic World 75928 Blue's Helicopter Pursuit, the one next to it the 31049 Twin Spin Helicopter and the red wings in that picture are from 60177 Airshow Jet -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Well the difference surely will be far smaller and surely you would still have to pay a big amount to complete the second one. For now I would wait and see where the set will end up in the end and if there will be discounts. -

Because he wasn´t named in the film though. So they couldn´t name him there. There are some Hobbits that are named in the Films though, which they could use. Rosie doesn´t seem that unlikely to me, actually I would even expect her along with the Merry, Pippin, Frodo, Sam, Bilbo and Gandalf. Maybe one or two hobbits more, but I wouldn´t expect to much given we expect a set from 200-250€ maybe. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I bet with both. I would guess there is a quite big amount of pieces. that you have left over when you build either of the two versions. So naturally when looking at the pictures it does seem like not that much for the money. And Nintento isn´t really known for cheap licensing - more quite the opposite. -
Just writing nope, doesn´t really bring the discussion any further ;). Would be good to give arguments alongside your statement and/or a reason why you disagree ;).

Well I still would think Aragorn is the main character of the movie... Well the Gollum game beeing a failure had other reasons though and is a bad example on Gollums popularity - on the contrary that they made the game actually proves he is popular ;) -
Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

There is still enough to display in the underground though. The chamber of secrets, or trials from the first book. Can´t really see them doing the most detailed hogwarts with some of the most famous locations. They wouldn´t necessarily be located on the right place but that is something I can live with. I would heavily expect the greenhouses this time - well actually they were in my guess for the summer wave since they made other sets early this year that were not included in the last wave and would also sell to people that don´t plan on starting another wave and woud just add them to their Hogwarts. Though I would think they will be part of the system and conect to the castle. That would also mean that they do need a undergroung section and would maybe be included in a part of the castle itself. -
Yeah, but that is just another case where the X stands for the unknown. You see it is working. You are using your imagination ;)

I do have to disagree here,.. ... and fully agree here, Gollum is maybe one of the most iconic characters of LotR (movies). I don´t really need a full film with him personally but like Cyprinus said, I would expect the film to be more about the journey and search for gollum, then really about him. Also might be less of an actual hunt (though towards the end that surely will also happen) than more about really searching for him and the things that happen on the way - at least that is what I would expect, included some hidings and fights from/with orcs, who also search for gollum to find out where the one ring is. -

I see you point, but in the end they would be recognizable to the ones that watched the series and they wouldn´t care if others do anyways IMO. Also, even without recognizing Malkins, I think her name is still prominent enough through her shop. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I meant is stands out from the other vote choices. Well aside from Gold of course. But overall Magenta would also be the least appealing choice for me - I don´t need gold either honestly though, it is just a colour they would have done anyways, sooner or later I guess. In the end I don´t care that much about which colour it will be, I would just kinda prefer it would be neither gold or magenta. My hope was Dark Blue all along but since that wasn´t one of the choices I just went with the Dark Azure one. -

Well if that one wasn´t Malkin maybe their design was still based of her - I mean they still did cast all of the vendors/shop owners so they surley do have material about how she looked. -

Black Falcon replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
You could also say magenta stands out though. On a side note saying that gold will win because all other votes would be split through all other colours - well I understand what you mean, but I don´t think it is like that. Not everyone that votes for something else wouldn´t want gold. Some people here stated they would either want colour x or gold and voted for a colour for instance. -
Well that comic is in a magazine made by another company and surely they can´t depict everything they want there, but whoever works with them on Lego´s side I would say it is not the designers of the sets ;) That aside, Planet X isn´t really a name. X is the letter used for the unknown: The X Files, Mr.X etc. So yeah, I wouldn actually say that is no contradiction but it actually is more a confirmation of what the designer said ;).

The issue with your math is however, that you consider that everyone had the same chances, which just isn´t the case. First of all you don´t know how many people from every school applied for the tournament, and even less how many from each sex - which wouldn´t still play a role, since IMO the goblet just chooses the best of each school (and as Harry was set by manipulation anyways, there would have been a 50/50 chance for either Male/Female and Male/Male for the Hogwarts-Champion without that btw - and same goes for the rest, you would have to calculate with 3 champions only) Well, but she was in the films. I mean it wasn´t especially mentioned it was her, but IMO she had some kind of background appearance in front or inside her shop. I think there was a pic of her somewhere here in this thread when we discussed about the news of her and the flowerwitch to be in the set. -
Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Well of course the overall price will not be lower (actually I would rather expect it to higher since I see more minifigs in total from smaller sets than from two big sets -though there will be some Harry, Ron and Hermiones). But yeah, my point was that I would rather see them doing more smaller sets than to add more Great Hall size sets, since it is more likely that those are ending up as gift for kids and to many big sets priced well above 100€ would just scare parents away IMO. -

I think one of the points for sets based on the series could be that Warner just wants to have them. I mean, they would obviously also promote the series, and getting minifigs for new characters not displayed in the films would be pretty cool. The other question is though, how close they will keep the visuals to the old films. Like they have the old scenes, so I would guess they reuse them for the new series but will the characters look similar too? I mean there are characters that are quite far away from the films and some that look quite close to the discription, however the films made people have a certain look in mind now, and changing that to much could look strange. Honestly, I´ve never had the impression that the films would imply that a female character could only become champion if they would come from a girls only-school. And I´ve never before heard that someone else had that impression. Sure the change was a strange one, but there were other reasons for it (and they were also stated somewhere but I just don´t remember them honestly - but it shouldn´t be that hard to look it up I guess). However there are so many strong women in the films like McGonagall, Hermione - who surely could become a champion aswell - that your take on this seems kinda strange to me. Which one are you referring to here? It would surprise me if they would make more sets like the Great hall, let alone more expensive ones. To buy one big sets and add smaller ones is one thing but if there would be 3 big sets in the end I think it would influence sales in a bad way. So I would guess the other parts of the castle will be made out of smaller sets. -
Interesting interview. Also interesting part, since we had quite some discussion about whether it would play in our solar system or far away:

Yeah a shame that Battle for Middle Earth isn´t avaiable today anymore - unless you buy used copys for insane prices We should keep in mind, that Warner will make films that will appeal to the masses though, and there are certainly some stories that would greatly appeal to fans of the tolkien universe mainly. I still think there might be stories that are better than Hunt for Gollum, but they wouldn´t have choosen it, if they wouldn´t have a plan for it. Though, one of the main reasons might be that the can use known figures from the LotR such as Gandalf and Aragorn which will help to atrract viewers. Comparing the Hobbit and the RoP with another and putting them into one catergory is quite hard IMO. The Hobbit is way better IMO. -

So far I would guess both movies are more aimed at adults rather than kids. But yeah, we will see. There were definitely more than just one film planned, hence I thought they would make another trilogy but it turned out to be stand alone films - or at least the first one. What else they have planned, time will tell. As for the Hobbit, it certainly wasn´t perfect and I can understand when people are disappointed with it especially considering some choices/changes from the books. But they are far from beeing bad. I will judge the Gollum movie when I´ve seen it - so far there isn´t even a trailer to tell if it can be good or bad. Yeah, if they would make sets for the Gollum movie, it would really surprise me if they wouldn´t do smaller LotR sets in the future. -

Well obviously that is why I mentioned the other sets by their own. I could see them doing an other triwizard tournament set then, but I doubt we will get that much more forbidden forest Sets. So, I am not saying we would get 8 Sets for the castle itself but I 5 or 6 Sets don´t seem that unlikely to me. -

Well we had forbidden forest, Aragog, Hagrits hut, and the durmstrang ship this year plus 4 Sets of the Castle itself. Considering that they started with the exterior of the castle, I would expect more Sets to built the castle for next year. -

Black Falcon replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Well as I said, I´d had thought they would do something else too but we will see what they make out of it. I would suspect it is less about how Gollum came to the ring and how he lost it, as much more about Aragorn chasing him after Bilbo already had it for a long time. Anyways I certain it will still be a good movie, probably not as good as the LotR, but I doubt it will turn out bad. Well I am saying this for years, new films are the best chance to get playsets for the LotR again, so I am happy we are getting new films again and honestly any decent fantasy film is highly welcome ;). So of course we can´t be certain if we will get sets for the film but I would guess the chances aren´t the bad. So I could see them doing sets to accompany the Film and the next year sets based on the LotR. If any of this is going to happen, time will tell and we can just hope. Personally, without seeing any of the films I´d rather have sets for the war of the Rohirrim than for the Gollum movie though, as that is the film I am more excited about and overall I expect to be more promissing to make sets of - but as there is still no info about any sets for this film it seems unlikely to happen at this point. For Hunt for Gollum it is just completely uncertain what they could make as a set there, so kinda hard to imagine.
