If you ask me, biomechanical organisms are always cellular based. They aren't made of actual metal, but their cells have evolved to take on the appearance of such materials. So reproduction just works in the same way or in a similar fashion to people (and animals for that matter). Oh. Forgot to mention. On a different note: nothing to report at my local TRU.

Didn't know he/she/it used the trans blue from Breakout Stringer. That's neat. Having said that, I agree with Shakar: the colors are all over the place. I like the individual colors, but the layout and balance isn't that great. And the arms look a little weird. But she's still a pretty neat figure. Can't help but love the Protectors. I'll definitely be adding her to the collection. Oh, Skull Spiders: definitely would like a white one just to have a bone color. Silver and the yellowish green are good, but an actual white version would be nice. That, and GitD.

Hope so. *crosses fingers* Can't wait to hear what your friend says. Hopefully they'll be available to buy once they get them in and we won't have to wait until the actual street date. One more thing: The TRU near me gets its new shipments in on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's Thursday, so maybe I'll have some luck and find something tomorrow.

Need to go shopping anyway, so it's not like it's my only stop. I don't really expect to find anything, but it'd be great if I did.

Woah. Lightning villain, perchance? Either way, that looks sweet. Loving the dual-colored helmets UA is giving us.

Just give me a PAB selection of the new masks and I'll be set! I'll be going this weekend. I still feel it's a bit early, but you never know.

Now this guy. This guy's really quite cool. I must say, probably my favorite out of all the Protectors. Love the colors and the creative use of the Gatling gun. Don't really like the knives, though. I'll probably just stick 'em in the empty axle holes on the Hordika necks for storage.

The finalized one has grown on me to the point where I prefer it over the prelim. Though for some reason the packaging picture makes it look... off.

I love how the Jungle Region has bits of yellow in it. Makes a nice consistency with it and the sets of that region. Also, has anyone else noticed the ominous craters? Specifically in the Desert and Water Regions? Wonder what that's all about (if anything).

Thanksgiving dinner has been eaten, the lights have been put up. Today marks the day when Christmas begins for me. Consider me ready. Tree gets put up later in the month, though. Next week maybe.

That's what I'm thinking. Two things could happen: that's actually the Protector of Fire, and he's secretly a Yoda-like character who can hold his own in a fight, but is otherwise an old geezer. Or, that's the leader before the Protector of Fire (assuming the Protectors we're getting as sets are indeed the village leaders). I think the second option would be cool since we know that the Masks and the Prophecy of Heroes are passed down through the generations, and it'd be cool to see that done in the animations. Like, the Robed Protector is on his death bed or something and appoints the Protector of Fire as the new leader.

Alright, decided to take screenshots of the "Masks of Power" teaser animation... Thing: Gallery Pretty interesting stuff happened when Tahu put on the gold mask such as a negative image and a brief glimpse of the head.

The planet they're on does have two moons... I wonder if they'll be explored later in the story. I mean, let's face it. Okoto seems too small to be the only setting for the story. Maybe for the first three years, but after that, I'd like to see some other locations.

Looks great! The colors may be all over the place, but they all work together to make a nice looking figure. And the bone choices just up his coolness. Love the posing possibilities.

The site, while incomplete, looks pretty nice. Biggest plus is the zoom-in map of Okoto. Sadly, I can't get The Legend animation to play... Not that it matters since I've seen it a bunch. At least there's some screenshots of upcoming animations which are glorious.

The gold Mask of Time and the Disk of Time were both included in the... 400 piece part tub I think? Two of each, I might add. That's where I got mine. Considering the Orange one was only available through promotions, it seems like it'd be more rare, but I'm not sure how many of each variety were made.

Hopefully since Bionicle's making its big return, and Lego seems to hyping it up so much, they'd be more punctual with the site launch. @Gatanui: That's weird. I wonder what happened?

Considering the sets officially release on January 1st, I'd imagine sometime around then. End of December/beginning of January is my best guess.

Do you know how many extra parts are needed for this mod? The legs and the gearbox look to remain fairly intact from the original as well as some other areas. Also, love the light blue edition. Too bad those technic beams don't come in trans lime. A green Skull Spider would look sweet.

You bring up good points, especially with the storytelling. A character's size should reflect their personality and role. Makuta's Matoran appearance in MNOG is still one of my favorite incarnations of the character and he was a munchkin. I guess it all depends on how the villains are handled. Personally, I don't think I'll ever tire of the David vs. Goliath archetype. I just have a thing for big villains, but I do understand it may get annoyingly repetitive for some people. Also, I want to point out that in the animation, Makuta was seen to grow after he put on the MoUP (though he regained his original size when Ekimu knocked the mask off, so I'm not sure how much merit this has). If Makuta was, say, slightly taller than the Protectors, his increased size would only put him around the height of the larger Toa.
