Yeah yeah. Whatever. We are getting of topic and it's getting boring. You are right and I am right. Good now? Are there people here who like the opaque printing of white and light colors on a Lego minifig? I am just curious.

Yes I hate Disney because they screw up George Lucas legacy. I know Disney have the rights but I have the right to express my feelings towards that company. Still main reason for buying a pirate ship is the price. And the support for MocYourBricks. And Disney also deserved to be pirated. I admit that. Watched /pirated their shows for free. Gave the money to charity instead of paying Disney. Watching the shows were a waste of time. Absolute garbage. Just my opinion. Sorry for my misspelling quantummechanics in English. It's not my native language. You do what you must do and think is right. I do what I must do and think is right. We can only agree that we will never agree with each other.

I am not stupid. I followed economics and my hobbies are reading cosmology and quantummechanics. That's spelled q-u-a-n-t-u-m-m-e-c-h-a-n-i-c-s. Gobricks are Chinese and they are good. Little bit more clutch power. Some love it, some hate it. I didn't bought the Black Pearl from Bluebrixx because I hate Disney but because the Lego version is too expensive. Also the Black Pearl is designed by MocYourBricks. It's design is way superior than the Lego version. It was Mouldking who stole the design of his Moc. At least MocYourBricks gets compensated by Bluebrixx. I know, they don't have the license but the ship is not called Black Pearl. And now the designer can with the money he earned, pay of his college debts or save for a house a bit. That's called stealing from the rich (Disney) to give to the poor ( MocYourBricks). And that's good a good thing in my opinion. Even Disney thought me as a kid that stealing from the rich to give to the poor is a good thing with their Robin Hood cartoon. Long live Robin Hood! Long live the Forrest People. I am a defender of the common people. You are a defender of the multinationals.

Ah it's you again. The alltime defender of the Lego multinational. And yes it's that simple because alternative brick companies and small third party companies who print Lego bricks, do a better job. Even Jang from Jangbricks on YouTube says it. He is an independent reviewer who sometimes does other plastic toy reviews. You're such a Lego loyalist. Everything Lego does, is good and the only way. Do you know that some companies have way better gold and silver bricks than Lego with good quality? Not that horrible pearl gold from Lego.

I am amazed by the high quality of the white printing on the Dragonborn minifig of the Dungeons and dragons Cmf series. So Lego does know how to properly print minifigs white light colors. They should use that high standard for all their minifigs. Because the white printings of the Bluecoats from Eldorado Fortress are bad.

Agreed. But the price for what you get is way worse. As a Zelda fan I have to pass. Was looking forward to it when there were rumours about a Zelda set. No Ganondorf is also a big miss!

Capitalists want a maximal profit as fast as possible with minimal costs and cheap labour. And guess what? The Chinese communist party provides cheap and obedient workers. So in the end, capitalists and the Chinese communist party actually go hand in hand and like each other. And the working class is screwed . Do you really think capitalists and communists care about the working class? Hell no! Maybe it's time for some anarchism!

Electronics are actually cheaper than Lego. Why? Because they are produced in China. Playstation is a Japanese brand but is manufactured in China. I worked for an American company for 12 years but than they decided to move the production to China. More and more stuff are made in China for big brands. Especially electronics. And often famous clothing brands produce their shoes and clothing, or at least the fabrics in Bangladesh and so on. That's globalism. You can't escape it.

Yes, and it is true. But Lego is so expensive (especially with life prices going up) that kids of poor families cannot experience the creativity of building with bricks. And there fore alternative building bricks are good. And it would be sad if kids cannot experience this due to the high prices. All they do nowadays is swipe, swipe and swipe....
-
Do what I do : buy alternative building bricks. They are not bad anymore. Some of them are pretty close to Lego quality and some brands have more and better prints. I also buy Lego because of great designs and cool minifigs but I am not brand loyal. If it's too expensive, I wait for a sale or I don't buy it at all. Some brands have their own minifigs who look completely different than Lego minifigs. And yes ,that's legal. But they are butt ugly. Most people who visit my home can't see the difference between Lego sets and other brands bricks. They are all displayed together in my brick room(Lego and other brick sets) And I populate my alternative brick sets with Lego minifigs so it's even harder to tell what is Lego and what not.

Unpopular opinion : I think Lego is cheap

I like molded dinosaurs too. I replaced the brick build T-Rex from T-Rex escape with a molded one . The diorama looks so much better now.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
DonQuixote replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
As a castle fan, I am also a fan of Zelda (Ocarina of time is best game ever) and I was really looking forward to the new Zelda set but that price..... €$300 is ridiculous. Does look a €$200 set max. A pass for me. And no Ganondorf minifig is also a let down. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]

That's a nice looking set. I remember seeing this in a toy store but I was in my dark ages. I regret not getting it. -
Well I didn't visit the parc for the rides but for the impressive Lego builds. I was really impressed by the life size Eldorado Fortress, Sitting Bull statue, Amsterdam with canals and the giant medieval castle. Bluebrixx is doing very well. They have their own stores just like Lego. The fun thing is, is that the closest Bluebrixx store in Aachen, is closer to me than the closest Lego store. The only thing I don't like about Bluebrixx is that their sets mostly have only digital instructions. But it's also a lot cheaper(around 5cent per piece) so I can live with it.

Billund, nice. I have to go back there. Last time I went there was 1993. The year of the Dragon Masters Yeah, eighties and nineties are the best! Agree. Lion knights castle and Galaxy Explorer are fantastic sets. Both 10/10 for me. I like classic (spaghetti) western. Lego is not doing anything with that anymore . What a shame. That's why I buy my western sets at Bluebrixx and I use Lego minifigs with it. I am very happy with the quality of Bluebrixx. Maybe they were bad in the past but they use Qunlong bricks now and they are the same quality as Lego. Same clutch power, same feel and ofcourse just like Lego same color deviations. I also bought Drogon (Game of thrones) from Megablocks and the quality is also just as good as Lego. More expensive than Bluebrixx, yes. But oh man, I have never seen such a good brick build dragon with cloth wings. The design is way superior than the dragon of Lego Dungeons and dragons. I still love Lego but I am not a purist anymore. Right now, I am waiting for Lego BDP Mountain Fortress. Only 1,5 month to go!

You need more imagination as a kid playing with classic castle than with a licensed theme. In Starwars you allready have the information who is good, evil and in between. There are so many different factions in classic castle and it's up to the kid to make up the storyline. Crusaders,Black Falcons, Forrest People, Black Knights, Wolfpack, Dragon Masters,Fright Knights....Who are they and what do they want? That's why classic castle is the best theme ever .I was a big fan of it as a kid and now as an adult since the release of the Lion Knights castle. Classic castle is so popular among afols and afobs.Look at how fast the Mountain Fortress has sold out at BDP! And look how many submissions are castle related.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]

Viking Village is really good value for your money. Nice prints too. I bought it for 125€ at the local toy shop. Medieval town square.... Yes I have the same complaints. Too many stickers. I was not planning to buy it but I did anyway... But Viking Village is the better set. -

The Blacksmith is nice but it doesn't fit with the Lion knights castle scale wise. I prefer the Viking Village and the medieval town square. Minor point of the last one is that some roofs look unfinished. And no Wolfpack shield. -

Me too but I am a huge castle fan. It's the reason I came back in 2022 after a long dark age. Sadly there are not much classic castle sets. And BDP delivers on that. 2 months to go and I will recieve the incredible looking Mountain Fortress for the Black Falcons. The interior is sparse but the exterior is better looking than the Lion knights castle.Great job Sleeplessknight! What I want next is a Forrestmen's hideout and a Wolfpack castle. And BDP delivers. I am actually not that interested anymore for official Lego sets. Unless we get new minifigs. But I can buy those in bulk at pick a brick. -

Any one else noticed that Brickhammers submission of the Wolfpack tower at BDP series 5 has disappeared? I voted for it a couple of hours ago. It had almost 4000 pieces but now it's gone....weird. Does this mean his submission (Wolfpack hideout)at Lego Ideas is going to be approved? -
