  1. I am not talking about details or high expectations. I am talking about color deviations. Jangbricks mentions it a lot the last years. Other YouTube reviewers (mostly German) as well. Ofcourse you are free to buy only Lego. But I am sick of toxic people who get angry to people who buy other brands. I love Lego but I also love Bluebrixx, Mouldking, Mork and Megablocks construx. They offer more historical themes like more medieval sets, western... And also Game of thrones. The Orient Express from Mouldking is far superior then the one from Lego. But thats just my opinion and some independent reviewers who compare Lego's Orient Express with Mouldking's Orient Express. And to break Lego's monopoly,I am on a mission to make free advertising for other brick companies! Even on Lego's Instagram. Haha! Eat that to Lego purist scum! Arggh!
  2. Some people defend the Lego company to death.Even if the quality of Lego is declining. I don't understand that. A monopoly is bad. Don't you want competition?
  3. Lego did not invent the plastic brick with studs. Lego is a copy-cat themself. Competition is good. A monopoly is bad. It's like saying only Ford cars are true cars and the rest are copy-cats. Are you driving a Ford car? No? Then you are a copy-cat yourself.
  4. I can't wait anymore! Arggh I will have to freeze myself like Cartman did in Southpark when he was waiting for the Nintendo Wii
  5. Hmm here in Europe there are very good deals on older modulars. I saw the police station for 150€ and the A frame cabine for 110€! And I don't buy every modular so that makes a 450€ modular more affordable. I only buy modulars that I really like and other sets and alternative bricks too. Some people buy every modular or Starwars set just because they are collectors, purists and completionists. Even if they don't like the set. 😅 The Jazzclub looks awfull to me. To many conflicting colors.Only the pizzeria looks interesting. So I will not buy it. Not even on discount.
  6. Just opened the 8+kg box from castle Mork. The bricks seem good. A little higher clutch power but I am fine with it. Can't complain for that price.... 310€ and 8600+ pieces
  7. Dungeons and dragons is indeed expensive. That's why I don't buy licensed sets. Starwars prices are ridiculous! Except for Rivendell... Lol! One cannot simply walk into a Lego store without buying this. The only licensed set that's worth it. Ok, Indiana Jones too. The best value for money is the Galaxy Explorer remake I think. Maybe Viking Village too. The price of the medieval market looks 'cheap' (for Lego). Hopefully it will not affectie the quality of the minifigs. But I have hope. They did a great job with Viking Village. New torso and shield prints. Even printed legs! I didn't expected that for an Ideas set.
  8. Just don't buy it day one. Wait for a year or 2 and you can buy it for 450€ at a third party seller.
  9. I want an new assembly square, 2 baseplates wide and 5000-6000 pieces for the 20th anniversary
  10. As long as we get diverse civilians with different torso prints I'm fine. Don't need new factions. Lego should use their entire budget for this set for civilian minifigs. After all it's a medieval market, not a castle. The leaked pictures of the 4 houses look good to me.
  11. As long as we get diverse civilians with different torso prints I'm fine. Don't need new factions. I want Lego to spend the entire budget on civilian minifigs. After all it's a medieval market, not a castle.
  12. Ordered the fantastic looking medieval castle from Mork yesterday on the Bluebrixx website. I am curious what the quality is. So far I have only a couple of sets from Mouldking, Megablocks Construx and Bluebrixx. And their quality is way better then I expected. 95-100% Lego quality. It depends on the brand. And newer sets are better because those brands are quite new and still improving. Lego is doing sometimes the reverse. (color deviations) I could not find a review for the medieval castle of Mork. So I guess I will have to do it myself. The reason I buy non Lego brands is that Lego doesn't make much medieval and pirate sets. They are mostly interested in making Starwars and Harry Potter sets Also looking forward to the Lego medieval market.
  13. Wow! I just saw a youtube video of an alternate color scheme for the museum. Building Together is an independant Lego reviewer. Check it out. From an average modular to a fantastic modular! It looks like the royal palace of Versailles in France now. It has a real grand majestic feel. But that's just my taste. What are your opinions for this color scheme?
  14. I really hope for a Assembly Square 2.0 and 2 baseplates wide for the 20th anniversary The original one is one of my favorite modulars of all time
  15. I am not worried about the building. We can modify that. I did that with Eldorado Fortress. I am concerned about the minifigs. I really want a diverse cast of medieval villagers. A clone army is fine but not for the villagers. I'm afraid that Lego will just reuse the minifigs of the Lion knights castle. I would be so dissapointed if they do the easy and cheap way. If that's the case I probably will not buy it.
  16. OK back on topic. Before the the reveal of the museum, it was rumoured to be a replacement of Assembly square and a new flagship of the modular line. So yes I am underwhelmed with the museum because I compare it with Assembly Square wich is very detailed and far more superior to the museum. To me Assembly square has a wow factor that the museum doesn't have. What are your opinions?
  17. Yes, it's about modulars and their difference in reviews between independant reviewers and LAN members. So it's defenitely on topic
  18. Maybe you're an exception and one of the few critical members of LAN but generally they are not criticising enough. And because people don't know what are good reviewers, I still recommend them to NOT watch members of LAN. But independant reviewers, especially those who review all brands of bricks. Like I said : I will never follow a member of LAN! And my mission is to keep people away from them! And I hope one day all people will abandom them. Because we HAVE to pay those sets with our hard earned money! So we want people who review these sets with their hard earned money too! Sorry mate, it's hard world! LAN sucks! They still are payed (with Lego) by a multibillion company. Long live independant reviewers! You gave 3/5 = 6/10 for the modular museum. That's not good at all. It's just ok. 4/5= 8/10 =good. Modulars have high standards
  19. Finally got my Eldorado Fortress. It's my second copy because I want to expand my Eldorado Fortress and make the governors office bigger and closed. Both sets have a missing part and contained a part that was not used in the set. The first Eldorado Fortress is missing a palm leaf and I got a minifigs legs in dark grey. The second Eldorado Fortress is missing a grey 2x2x2 slope and instead I got a black 4studs round brick. And while the clutch power of Lego is perfect, the color concistancy is not. I notice deviations in the colors turquoise, dark tan, reddish brown and dark red in some of my sets that I got brand new. And with the Orient Express xpress they misspelled 2 cities. What going on over there? Is quality control falling asleep?
  20. I have watched several reviews on YouTube from independent reviewers. Mostly German. Mostly they say it's an ok set with a boring build proces with ratings around 7/10. And I agree. Members of LAN s reviews are not as criticising as independent reviewers. Reviews of LAN are actually commercials.
  21. Another thing. I have several bad experiences when ordering on Lego.com. DPD is the worst delivery company there is. I Ordered Eldorado Fortress 27 november and still is in warehouse of DPD in Belgium (where I live). Compare this with the German Bluebrixx company. I have ordered several things from them and always got my products with in a few days. They use DHL. And their quality really has gone up the last year. And they do reply on your email. Way better customer service. They really care about their customers.
  22. I don't buy only Lego but also from the German 🇩🇪Bluebrixx. They also have fysical stores. The reason for that is because they offer a lot of themes that Lego doesn't. The quality has really gone up the last years and competition is good. However, I still prefer Lego only because they pay and threat their workers well. For me as an anarchist 🏴that's the most important thing. If workers are treated like shit... well then it's revolution time! 🏴🏴🏴 And the guillotine will be ready 😁 Look what happened at the French🇨🇵 revolution! Let that be a warning for all companies and goverments in the world!
  23. Some people allready have the modular! Is it not supposed to be released 1 december. I wait for a sale at a third party seller next year. I have mixed feelings about this one. It's better then the Jazz club but the facade looks a bit plain and I guess boring to build. Other people here with the same thoughts?
