  1. Well I saw the finale of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and I will be falling into depression shortly... Why must this beautiful tale end! Why? So much was left unsaid, so much left to tell. What about Registration? Or Surtur? What about Yellowjacket? Will he ever regain his full sanity? ...Phoenix this might be the last time I get to witness Wasp's hilarity. I mean yes I can always watch reruns, but still. I...I feel like a part of me just died inside. Two seasons wasn't enough. That was more than Wolverine and the X-Men, but it is just too soon. It deserved to last longer.
  2. is on an emotional roller coaster thanks to Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes (and still misses Bionicle sets)

  3. IC: De'kra locked with relief, for the Rio still functioned, and possibly still lived. The Rito points that determine health must refer to how much damage they can take before being knocked out, just like it is or most Heroica Heroes. He won't be killing them! Empowered by this revelation, the echo leapt with renewed energy onto Flavius, and pierced the Rito's flesh. As De'kra landed backward after his attack, he readied Chiara for another attack. The dagger's electricity should compensate for his position on the back row, and keep Flavius on the ropes.
  4. OOC: is Flavius still untargetable? IC: De'kra swings in vain once more, unable to hit the avian. He was trying to help, this was not just a show, but he just couldn't harm Flavius or Deneii. It was too far beyond him. The echo clicked, "Odds are I am not go to hit either of them anytime soon, it just not within I. Team have any suggestions?" De'kra checked to see if Flavius was vulnerable. If he was and the Team did not have a better plan. De'kra would attack him from the back row using Chiara.
  5. IC: De'kra chirps with frustration as the battle continues. He could have hit Flavius, he had had the Rito in his sights, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. He couldn't land a blow, not against ones such as they. It was just too much againsthis nature. "I am hurt Team more than I help," he clicked as Flavius flew too far away to fight, "I cannot bring myself to fight them, and when I try I feel too wrong to fight. Divide warrior cannot stand. I will t-try to attack D-Denerii if Team think I up to it, but if Leader think it best I will sit it out and maybe use potion." The echo readied himself to attack from the back row with Chiara once more, though his heartlight was not in it,
  6. IC: De'kra fell back as the Rito pierced his chest, though to a degree the pain was welcomed. It was...distracting, that pain, it kept his mind off the battle he was participating in. Not to mention that he felt relief that he had not harmed a feather-flyer. But even as he recovered, De'kra saw the falcon burn to ashes. It was horrifying, to see the proud bird melt away into the inferno of heat, though it was better than seeing the mangled corpse of the flyer. At least this way the bird's remains won't be spoiled, and it might still fly by way of the breeze. Still, De'kra couldn't help but shudder as the bird faded into the stuff of stars, a terrible taste in his hands. Still gripped by the horror, De'kra managed to whip out Chiara. The echo's strategy would remain the same, he would attack from the back row and be fighting Flavius.
  7. And collect every mask, but that goes without saying. On a more serious note, sorry to hear that you are letting Arthur go. Do you have any ideas for his successor?
  8. IC: De'kra winced as more of his allies took hits. It was horrible, watching his comrades suffer, but he could not harm those Rito and especially that falcon. Birds had been of great help to him back home, he could not kill them. He had to keep something sacred! De'kra winced at the voice before clicking in Matoran; De'kra nodded slowly, as he made sense of the words. It was the lesser of two trials, this path, painful to his core but easier than either extreme. "I w-will battle Flavius from back row," the echo clicked shakily, "Unless Team have better use for I. Hopeful this will relieve pressure from h-heroes. Chiara's electricity should compensate for I position in back." De'kra gripped his newly named Prongcanis Dagger as he clicked this, his entire essence hoping that he would not deal the killing blow against any of the foes, but especially the Falcon. OOC: sorry for the delay, I had health issues. OOC: The Prongcanis Dagger has been renamed Chiara in case it wasn't clear.
  9. IC: De'kra uses a potion on Xander.
  10. I do try to limit what I do, but I am not going to ignore something when it logically must happen. This is not intended to be hostile, but I would like to know the other times I "held back my party," as I can't think of any instance. I suppose the meeting with Arthur might be one , but I felt like the situation was defused by then. The parties were not going to fight by then, so interactions could happen. If one goes back to Quest 4 I did have a sub plot thing, but I had pre approval from the Quest Master. I probably should have gotten approval for some of what I did here, but I didn't plan this as much as ran into it. I will try to plan better for the future. Either way, I would like to know where I was annoying so I could limit those instances. I am not trying to hijack the Quest at all, and I am sorry if you think I am. The thing is I am not really sure how to make De'kra fight without outside help, I can try to create something spur of the moment, but I have no current ideas for it. The point you make that personal problems shouldn't affect a battle seems...odd to me. I am not the only person in Heroica to not fight alongside their fellows in a battle, and I believe you ruled that players could sit out a fight, though it would probably annoy their teammates. I might remember that wrong though, as I think it was all the way back at the time of Quest 16 and 19. Likewise in Quest 30 teammate fought teammate, though that was planned, and in a completed quest that situation almost occurred spur of the moment. Said civil battle did not occur, but the entire ending almost chanced based on personal decisions. I realize that other examples do not role-play as much as me, but it still feels a little selective. Of course it is directed towards me so I would be biased, and I sod tend to get sensitive and defensive, but when name calling is used it does seem more personal.
  11. Woah, calm down. I am pretty sure we were all having a good time and no one was stressed, and I am not sure you understood the context. I was not trying to hold my involvement over their heads at all, it just made no sense in-character for him to attack. I was offering a way in-character for him to interfere. I can't break character, and helping without a ghreater cause to help would do so. If you recall in Quest 30, something bad happened in a battle, and De'kra flashed back to a group from his past. He has a distaste for violence at the moment, and way back in Quest 20 it was established that he has a fondness for birds. And I was already participating in the fight, just not directly. You know, I am a somewhat socially awkward person, so I apologize if I caused a misunderstanding. I wanted to help, but since De'kra couldn't I was trying to create an escape clause. I had figured it won't be begging at all, it might have even been calling De'kra out on not helping his team. So I am sorry for confusion. But wasn't it a bit early to jump at my throat?
  12. Okay, if you want De'kra's help here is a hint. De'kra is a character of Bionicle right? And Bionicle is an action adventure series of heroes, evildoers, mysteries, and all the classic trimmings. And thus by the power of fiction, he can be manipulated by the epic power of dramatic speeches. Use what you know of his past , his prior quests, and De'kra's motives to convince him to help through a speech forged in Lego. Of course it can only be in game knowledge, but Xander has been in two quests with De'kra so he might know a lot, and the others have had time to see him interact, and might be able to figure out what is going on here. So yeah, do something with that. Or die, that should get him helping. He will be handicapped if he helps, but still.
  13. IC: As De'kra watched the others ready for battle, for his spot in the back, he noticed something. The echo clicked, "Commander, why are you not aid battle? Others need help. I am useless in fight against birds and apparently Rito, but why you not fight?"
  14. Give De'kra a reason to fight, then he might help. The better question is why is commander Nikolai not helping, despite being a military officer? I smell a traitor...
  15. IC: De'kra nodded to Nerwen eagerly and clicked, "I can use remedy." The Echo raced to Nyx and used one of his Remedies on her, glad to contribute without spreading death to the flyers.
  16. 1) Crow/Raven 2) Eel (not snake) 3) Kiwi (bird) 4) Iguana 5) Wombat
  17. 122 victorious battles you mean.
  18. I think it is because that is all you said. It came off as Guts took one look at the attacking forces, and ran off. He didn't ponder the situation, he didn't weigh his chances, he just fled. And with the way Guts and company have been picking unnecessary fights, the way he attempts to run off from the main quest is funny to me.
  19. Good point, I suppose it would be earned if you made it all the way to level fifty. Especially since I am guessing that the number of battles required to level up increases every tenth level. I found this hysterical.
  20. The only danger I see is that one could have their level fifty character give tons of cool items to their pre-quest level one character. I don't think that will be a problem, but it is so ething to consider.
  21. OOC: this is completely unrelated to Heroica, but by the Great Beings themselves Kat is glorious! No wonder all those robots worship her, Karzahni I could jump on the "metallic angel" religion myself! OOC: more on topic, I figure that, but I will wait for the Quest Masterto comment before posting, just in case. IC: De'kra nodded sadly and clicked, "True, Rito might be look for fight, but claim that they might be too weak to help or too proud might not have help matters. And and wings like that I understand how they could be proud. To fly on such elegant wings, from what I remember of flying is that half of it is laugh at ground and gravity, to enact flight on those wings is even greater. Point is, Team was told that Rito love war, though that could easily be Dastan empire lies. But assume it was true, I believe one of fastest ways to enrage war loving culture is to imply that they are bad fighters. At least, from what I remember of Skakdi."
  22. OOC: let me see if I understand this right, the Team cannot kill them, right? If we are victories we gain a more civilized discussion, but they will still live? If the latter, don't count De'kra as sitting out just yet. IC: De'kra clicked with sadness between shudders, "Nerwen, I not expert on this land or Olegaia, but where I from usually when people ask for aid and they not like you already, it usually not help if you insult them. Probably not good to insult Rito, as they can fly. Xander, Nerwen and I won't be able to attack if they fly out of range, while their arrows will still prove quite lethal. And since sky is three dimensional space, it will be much easier for them to dodge spells. Also, I was hope to mention this in better times, but I not really able to fight birds, or apparently Rito. Too many memories of birds back home, it hard to register them as threat, harder to harm. I c-c-c-could t-r-r-y, but I will not k-severely damage any of them. It could be harder though, if they were large land creatures and large horn."
  23. ...Mask of Light still burns in my mind, though I blotted it out enough to forget if it was a unibrow or not. Hopefully if Skrall is retired he will still get to be a recurring NPC, instead of just put on a bus.
  24. By Vakama's eyebrow! I was just looking up Arthur's stats, I had no clue he was that much in debt! Maybe this is why he has been reacting badly towards Rogues, jealousy that they need not worry about money as much! He has sufficient reason to become a sorcerer now, just have the heroes he owes money too come to collect! ...this is not meant offensively, I am just surprised at the number.
  25. I wonder which Mage he might be referring too?
