  1. Just in case anyone is still wondering, Rogue’s hands and legs are regular yellow.
  2. It was also designed to drop out of the Helicarrier. 😝 I will say this. At least it’s not just some random made up prison like in the last Avengers Tower. And the one in Avengers Compound.
  3. It wouldn’t be a Lego Avengers Tower without a prison that was never in the tower. 🤣
  4. $300 isn’t a guarantee. It could be more, it could be less. Wolverine, on the other hand, is a very safe bet.
  5. You are correct. There was no set price. Also, the price wouldn’t tell us much. We’ve seen “dollhouses” for more than $300, Rivendell being a prime example. I built an X-Mansion awhile ago. If the new one is less than stellar, I’ll probably just use the parts to beef up the one I already made. 😁
  6. I was going with dark red just because this is based on the cartoon where her hair is closer to dark red than brown. You are right that in general her hair is brown and I’d be more than happy with that too. edit: kishalego on YouTube has a review of Rogue with some shots of her back and with different hairstyles.
  7. I’m not entirely sure, tbh. They seems to stick with mostly smooth areas, but they have printed on curvier surfaces, such as Narcissa Malfoy’s hairpeice. But, even if they couldn’t do it well or consistently, in this case I don’t think it’d be a huge issue since Rogue already has messy hair. I can’t imagine it’d look worse than the bird-dropping effect we ended up getting.
  8. The hair is, IMO, the biggest thing holding the Rogue minifigure back. The color is wrong. The style is wrong. The white at the top is just executed horribly. IMO, they should have given her the Agatha hairpiece in dark red and painted the top white, similar to what they did with the 2020 Two-Face figure. The torso and head are both fantastic. The legs are alright. Dual molding would have been preferable but I think they look good enough.
  9. It’s not just movies though. There’s other cartoon such as X-Men Evolution and comics, although those are arguably less mainstream. But then again, Firestar isn’t exactly a household name and she was included in the Daily Bugle based on her appearance in one of the less popular Spider-Man cartoon series. So it seems to come down to who the designers want and who Marvel will approve, which leaves a very large list of options. Also, when it comes to movies you missed out on two big names: Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. The latter is arguably better known as an Avenger at this point, but she was in the original Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and has played a significant role in a certain X-Men centric story. And you can also make the argument that Quicksilver was only an X-Men in the films, but the same argument applies to him. Besides that, they’re probably the two most well-known *mutants in the past decade not named Deadpool and Wolverine. Not saying they’ll be in the Mansion, but I think they’re worth considering as possibilities if we do get more than just a ‘97 tie-in. *arguably they’re not mutants anymore, but they were for decades and have a long history with the X-Men.
  10. That’s assuming the Mansion is just going to tie into X-Men ‘97 and not try to loosely capitalize on any other X-Men media. And that may be the case, but so far the Marvel Modulars haven’t been inspired by just one movie. The X-Men are in this weird position where they haven’t had any relevant media for the past decade or so but were the premier Marvel team 30 years ago, which will be part of the audience for 18+ sets. But, at the same time, Lego could hold off on going full out with them until they debut in the MCU. It’s an interesting situation where we could end up with either a tie-in set with just the essentials like the Sanctum Sanctorum or a love letter to the X-Men in the way the Daily Bugle and Avengers Tower are love letters to Spider-Man and the MCU. Regardless though, I think you’re right that we’ll be getting Jean, Gambit, and Jubilee at some point this year.
  11. So the rumored lineup so far is - Batman art set - Batmobile - 4+ Batwing - something related to a buildable figure - unknown
  12. At this point, I think the only thing safe to say about the Mansion is it will include Wolverine and Magneto. 😝 In all seriousness though, we don’t even know at this point if it’s just gonna be a system set mansion facade for under $200 or a modular-styled $200+ set like the Daily Bugle or maybe more like Rivendell. And even if it is the latter, it could either have a lot of figures or just the ‘97 team and Magento. Unlike the Daily Bugle and Avengers Tower, there aren’t a lot of civilian characters you can throw into the Mansion. IMO, if we get a couple more X-Men sets in the summer, it probably means we’ll be seeing a lot of figures in the Mansion. And in that case, we’ll probably see a few who Lego wouldn’t stick in regular system sets (Deadpool and Emma Frost being the two big names that come to mind, due to vulgarity and costume design). If we get nothing for the X-Men in the summer, we probably shouldn’t count on a big lineup in the Mansion, but might still get one or two characters that can’t be snuck into a system set. That said, I’m also skeptical of Lego risking Deadpool in even a 18+ set given his reputation for vulgarity and how closely the movie costume resembles the comic look, neither of which was really an issue with Daredevil and Punisher.
  13. Has Lego ever specified where they draw the line for what will and won’t be covered in sets? To me, it looks like sex, nudity, drugs, alcohol, gore, excessive profanity and excessive violence are all big no’s for them. But they seem to be willing to bend the rules somewhat for 18+ sets, such as Suicide Squad Harley, Batman Returns, Daredevil, Punisher, and Blade. edit: And some characters have wide enough appeal that they’re just given a pass, namely Joker and Wolverine.
  14. Creature Commandos is reportedly releasing next year. How many sets y’all think we’ll be getting for this? 😂 edit: other sources are saying 2025. Regardless, I’m sure we’ll get a full wave. 😂
  15. Found it, thanks. I was pretty sure from that first picture it was bright light orange. Now I’m less certain. Guess we’ll have to wait for official pictures.
  16. Where did you see the alternate face? I can’t find it in the usual place.
  17. November 14th official reveal. November 24th official release.
  18. That wouldn’t work either. Rogues has white hair at the top of her head, not white streaks in her bangs. The big issue though is the piece they used. The hairpiece for Agatha Harkness would have been so much better.
  19. Huh. I always assumed it was because they didn’t want anyone making nude figures, or they wanted to not make it so easy. Guess that’s not it. But that still doesn’t explain why they keep using bright light orange in the superhero theme for characters where yellow would be more appropriate: Wolverine in the mech, Cyclops in the 2014 Blackbird, Reverse Flash, Rogue, etc. Dual molding would have been preferred to what we got, but the hips would still need the lower part painted/printed yellow. Apparently though, yellow hips isn’t an issue in the first place so it’s a moot point.
  20. That’s definitely (and unfortunately) bright light orange. And I would count on Lego using the same color for Cyclops given that they seem to have a rule against making yellow hip pieces (and this forum is showing that their concerns were justified.)
  21. Still works. It’s a shame Rogue wasn’t in the CMF and Storm or Beast in the jet. Rogue definitely needed dual legs and leg printing which is rare outside of CMFs.
  22. It’s a challenge. No pistachios, almonds, or cashews in November.
  23. Poor guy couldn’t make it one day into November. 😔 Glad to see Rogue is coming in the Blackbird. Printing and hair piece choice leave something to be desired, but that’s par for the course if not a birdie.
