  1. Now if we could only find enough like-minded individuals, Lego might be willing to resurrect this theme.
  2. What If season 4 will be exclusively “what if *blank* was Venomized” episodes. Lego will produce a Morbillion tie-in sets.
  3. Perfect! Lego can sell new Mr Fantastic’s by the truckload.
  4. The teaser for X-Men ‘97 is out. Seems like Bishop plays a bigger role than I would have thought. Wouldn’t be surprised if we got a minifigure of him in the X-Mansion or a hypothetical future set. Morph also seems to be playing a bigger role, and has the same legs as Cyclops. I wonder if they’ll include both with the mansion with printed legs, kinda like what they did with Black Widow in Avengers Tower.
  5. I’m curious how they would handle Codpiece. Would they use leg printing or a new molded piece. 🤔
  6. They should make Mr Fantastic solely out of rubber pieces so that he can actually stretch. I don’t just mean the arms and legs. I mean the torso, the hips, the hair, the head, and even the hands.
  7. They had Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Joker, Cyborg, and Aquaman. All of them are pretty well known. Green Lantern and Flash too, but they went with lesser known versions. This mega blocker wants to drop $17K on Lego DC CMF. 😝
  8. I’m making a joke about Lego’s habit of leaving some important character out of their set lineup. Ego. High Evolutionary. Kang. Zemo. Gamora for GotG3. Scarlet Witch for Infinity War sets. Raven, Doomsday, Saturn Girl over on the DC side of things. Etc. I don’t know anything. Please don’t use me as a source. LOL.
  9. My dream CMF is 1000+ slots to fit all the characters and variants of characters I want.
  10. They will, but we’re only getting 3 sets, so you know what that means… I’m not sure if you’re talking about how Maxwell Lord looked nothing like Pedro or how the minifigure looked nothing like either one of them.
  11. I think the Avengers battle set was rumored to be based on the first film. I assume you’re talking about the mystery D2C and not the X-Mansion, yes? I don’t think that’ll happen. For one, there’s still the issue with Lego making a set directly based on an R-rated film, which has never happened before, and probably never will. Secondly, we’d have two X-Men D2C’s coming out back to back. That would cannibalize sales and I don’t see it happening.
  12. There’s a pretty big gap between what kids know and what parents decided it’s ok for kids to know. And Lego seems to base their decisions on the latter, since parents are the ones with the money.
  13. His comment may have just been hinting at there being sets based on movies coming out this year (Minions, Wicked, and whatever else we’re getting) rather than hinting at Deadpool and Wolverine sets.
  14. I could see Lego skipping him altogether if he does appear in Secret Wars. Even if the film is PG-13, he’s still got a reputation. IMO, best chance we’ve got is a comic version of him snuck into an expensive 18+ set, and even then I’m skeptical it’ll happen.
  15. We went 8 years without seeing the Wolverine mask, but it came back looking the same as it did before. It’s only been 4 for the Flash cowl. Not sure what happened with the molds, but regardless, it looks like either Lego holds onto molds it thinks they’ll use in the future or they have the ability to bring them back.
  16. There was an X-Men merchandise embargo in place up until a few years ago, and up until last summer we hadn’t seen any mutants not named Wolverine or Scarlet Witch since 2015. 😛 But in all seriousness, Deadpool is probably the riskiest character for Lego to put in a set just because of how popular and vulgar he is. Which is why an 18+ set based on the X-Men, featuring a comic based version of him is probably our only shot. (And no, I don’t think they’ll include him in Secret Wars sets, even if he’s the main character.) edit: yes, I’m ignoring Firestar in the Daily Bugle. Not for any particular reason. I just forgot about her (just like Marvel has).
  17. I think you misunderstood. I’m not saying make the X-Mansion explicitly as a tie-in Deadpool and Wolverine. I’m saying, market it as an X-Men comic set, include comic minifigures that just happen to coincide with the prominent characters in D&W, and then still market it as 18+ because some people will still be outraged if Deadpool is included in a set that isn’t 18+, even if it’s the (not really but perceived to be because no one reads comics) tamer comic Deadpool.
  18. IMO, best case scenario is the X-Mansion isn’t actually a X-Men ‘97 tie-in set, but a Deadpool & Wolverine tie in set, and we wind up getting comic inspired versions of the X-Men characters who will be in Deadpool & Wolverine (ie, instead of Gambit and Jubilee we get Deadpool, Colossus, and Pyro). Kinda like what happened for Suicide Squad back in 2016, except instead of smaller sets, it’s a large 18+ set so parents are less likely to complain about Lego marketing Deadpool to children.

  21. You forgot two. The Batman The Lego Batman Movie

  23. I’m not saying this won’t happen. I’m just saying I’d be very surprised if a cancelled set for one of (if not the) biggest box office flops in history got released over a year later.
