  1. For reference, this past year we got a Quinjet with twice the piece count and five minifigures, two with leg printing and one with arm printing, for $20 more than the X-Jet is going to be. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for good minifigures in a set that’s $20 less with half the pieces and 1 less minifigure. edit: We might end up with another Hoopty situation, but I can still hope we get a decent or even great set here.
  2. That could actually be a fun “What If.”
  3. Those minifigures better have some CMF level printing at this price point and piece count.
  4. This conversation was about what ideas would make sense for modular building styled sets. X-Mansion is not one of them because it doesn’t make sense to connect it to other buildings and would make more sense as a stand-alone building like Rivendell.
  5. Bold of you to assume anyone will care about the Fantastic Four 5+ years from now. X-Mansion doesn’t make sense as a modular building. The whole point of modular buildings is they connect together. The X-Mansion is all off by itself in the middle of nowhere. edit: same argument goes for Arkham Asylum since I see that being brought up all the time as a possible modular building.
  6. They still managed to sneak out a Batmobile (or three) so they probably made the right call.
  7. I wouldn’t call it good, outside of season 1 and maybe 2.
  8. Is there any reason I didn’t get this? Am I stupid?
  9. The Harley Quinn series has confirmed that she is kinda stupid. And before that she wasn’t a character. She was just a plot device who got fridged in the literal sense instead of the typical figurative sense.
  10. Not included: Eddie Brock, Symbiote-suit Spider-Man.
  11. As others have said, Baxter Building and Oscorp are the two obvious choices. Depending on how Daredevil Born Again does (and if they include it in the series), the law office of Nelson and Murdock. Not the most exciting choice, but could have a solid minifigure selection. Avengers Mansion could make an appearance in the MCU in Kang Dynasty or Secret War, but they could also do a comic version. There’s also the X-Men treehouse, but that’s maybe a bit too obscure. And, if they want to go with large buildings that aren’t strictly modular, there’s always the Avengers Compound, Tony Stark’s Malibu Mansion, Asgard, Wakanda, and (of course) the X-Mansion we’re getting next year.
  12. Yep. In the ‘66 show, Batman was also responsible for the accident that made Mr Freeze like that. Also, that was the George Sanders version which looks nothing like the Polybag minifigure. Fixed a huge mistake from the BtAS version. Never made sense that Nora would fall for a stoic science geek. But a chad, ice pun machine…
  13. I can’t believe you’re comparing the two. It’s not Heath Ledger’s fault the bar was set so high by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
  14. https://batmantheanimatedseries.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Villains The Ventriloquist thing was kinda odd, but I don’t think it was an isolated incident. Does anyone else know if something like this happened? And before someone brings him up, I don’t Klarion counts.
  15. Someone must have been looking at their phone during those parts. 😝
  16. They can do another Batman buildable figure. Blue and gray Batman. Black and gray Batman. Hush Batman. Returns Batman. DCAU Batman. Adam West Batman. TDKT Batman. So many options for more Batman.
  17. Except, not all 5 sets are gonna be system. There’s probably a Juniors set, maybe a buildable figure or two, and maybe some buildable object like a Batarang or Batman’s cowl. So you wind up with maybe 2-3 system sets, and when Batman has like 5-10 iconic villains that haven’t been on the shelf for 5+ years, there’s not much room for new villains.
  18. If Lego finds guns controversial, then why does the Joker buildable figure come with a gun? 🤔
  19. Just a thought. Could these sets tie into Batman: Caped Crusader?
  20. Five Batman vs Joker sets this year? DC fans are eating good! 😝 Seriously though, great to see we’re still actually getting something. Would be great to see some new characters, maybe even Mad Hatter, or at least some BtAS designs to coincide with the Gotham City skyline.
  21. It comes in November right? Typical rule of thumb for large sets like this is one month, so early October is probably a safe bet.
  22. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Mr Freeze. Penguin has a show coming out. Joker and Harley are both gonna be in a movie. Riddler was just in a movie. So that leaves Mr Freeze as the choice that makes the least amount of sense, since Lego doesn’t seem to like sticking Catwoman or Two Face in sets as much as those other ones.
  23. My bad. I forgot about the mandatory annual (since 2019) 4+ Batman vehicle vs major Batman villain.
  24. Sure, but there’s no guarantee that Lego would bother creating a new print for a character who, in most media, just wears a generic suit. Just looking at how they handled Obadiah Stane and Max Shreck, I think it’s fair to say Lego would be more than happy to just stick the 2012 Bruce Wayne head on a generic suit and call it a day.
  25. Not for nothing, but I don’t see why anyone is all that excited for Xavier. I like him as a character. But he’s typically just a bald guy in a generic suit with a wheelchair. Incredibly easy to make using existing parts, which is probably what Lego will do when they go to make him anyways.
