  1. New X-Men ‘97 trailer just released. I don’t want to spoil anything about the show, but there might be hope for those of us who didn’t find a certain minifigure’s design all that attractive.
  2. Explains why all these sets are $20 overpriced, except Batman’s mech.
  3. Funniest thing ever posted here. No thanks.
  4. Three gray 2x1’s stacked outside the X-Mansion should cover him. 😝
  5. I’m confused by this. The X-Men ‘97 and X-Men tAS character designs are literally ripped from the comics. Art? We’re talking about the MCU here. The giant corporate, made by committee, movie franchise that pretty much killed small budget films. Not to be an art gatekeeper, but the MCU has done more harm to art than one random Eurobricks user being critical of two made-by-committee shows being forced through production to meet corporate quotas.
  6. Mr Freeze looks great (from the waist up). Batmobile looks great too. Not a fan of the new rubber cape for Batman. I don’t have much to say about the mech and Batpod. They look fine but they’re just something I would get. Has the Junior set leaked yet? I didn’t see any pictures. Thought it was supposed to release alongside these other three. This also probably goes without saying, but I hope we continue to see more BtAS sets in the coming years. Robin, Two Face, Ventriloquist, Riddler, and Phantasm are all characters I’d really like to get in that style. Others too, obviously, but those are the main ones for me.
  7. I disagree. I think JeanGreyForever makes some great points. X-Men have a lot of characters they could cover. Arguably too many to include in sets, even if we get 5 or 6 of them. Disney+ shows are on the decline. There’s Daredevil, which will be TV-MA, so it won’t be covered. That basically leaves Zombies, What If, and two Wakanda shows, but I don’t see any of those being popular. Now, of course, there’s no guarantee we’ll get another CMF. And it could always be Legacy based, which I’m sure would sell well. But, personally, I would really like an X-Men CMF.
  8. Speaking of CMFs and X-Men, it’d be great if the next Marvel CMF was just X-Men ‘97 based. Even with the Jet, Mansion, and any potential sets next year, there should still be enough characters to fill 12 slots. I think I’ve counted 30 characters so far who’ve either played a large role or been a glorified cameo, and with season 2 presumably releasing next year, that number is bound to grow.
  9. I feel bad for the poor Lego designer who stumbles on this thread and has to try and figure out what Luigi’s pizza is and why some many of us want a $800 UCS of it.
  10. This is just the survey leak list with Emma Frost and Sabertooth dropped. Not saying this isn’t the lineup, but it seems like they just looked at that image and didn’t know who those last two were.
  11. I haven’t seen the X-Mansion. I have no idea who is in it. But just based off people’s comments here, I’m fairly confident it’s gonna be called the most disappointing minifigure lineup of all time.
  12. You can say what you want about the DCEU, but it understood how seriously DC takes canonical consistency.
  13. I really try my best to just ignore these types of posts. I really don’t want to waste my time refuting every last little piece of BS that pops up on here. But this is getting really out of hand. First of all, there is no way Lego would ever consider making a set based on the death of man’s parents. Zero. It is wildly inappropriate for children to see Man’s parents being killed, which is why it has only been featured in like five PG and PG-13 Batman movies. Now, maybe if it included iconic Batman location Luigi’s pizza, then Lego would consider breaking their rule against producing sets for R-rated content. But seeing as that is not the case, it’s not gonna happen. In fact, I am so confident that this will never happen that if Lego ever makes a crime alley set featuring the death of Man’s parents, I will eat that exclusive Joe Chill minifigure. Second of all, Lego would never make an exclusive Joe Chill minifigure. And no, it’s not because he’s too dark of a character. It’s because he’s the most generic looking dude in all of fiction. You can use literally any torso, legs, head, and hair or hat combination to create him. Yes, even the official Man figure, so that Man would be killing his own parents. And it would still work as Joe Chill because he’s just that generic. And there’s zero chance Lego would consider wasting an exclusive print on him. If he were ever made, he would use recycled prints and therefore could not be considered exclusive. Third, and I cannot stress this enough, Jonkler 2 is not appropriate for kids. If you have kids now or find some tagging along with you when you go to watch Jonkler 2, do not let them inside. No matter how hard they fight, just remember that you are bigger and stronger and any amount of violence is justified to protect their innocence.
  14. I don’t think anyone has specified anything one way or another. Aside from someone saying Batgirl was her most recent existing minifigure, but that could also just be a mistake since her BtAS look is very similar.
  15. Any sets for this year and next are in some stage of production. So assuming we are getting sets for season 2, yes.
  16. It sounds like X-Men ‘97 season 2 is pretty far along in production. There’s a good chance we see the second season within the next year, and hopefully sets to coincide with the release.
  17. Right?! Lego just got lazy and didn’t make a new mold. Not really sure what logic they use to decide whether or not to make a new mold, tbh. We just got a (imo unnecessary) new generic Bat cowl mold for three Batman ‘89 sets but not not one for three The Batman sets for which the old mold arguably didn’t work.
  18. 2021 was the year Lego made less DC sets and it’s also when they made Seinfeld. Coincidence? No! Seinfeld took the budget for Lego DC. If Seinfeld fails, we will see more GREAT Lego DC like the Academy Award Winning Shadowbox Batcave.
  19. We didn’t technically get sets for What If Season 2, but then again, X-Men are arguably much more popular and doing better than What If. And there’s been demand for more X-Men for a while. As for who is in the X-Mansion, we’ll know when someone leaks the figure list.
  20. Man, ten characters in the X-Mansion is starting to seem like a lot.
  21. I’m more disappointed by the lack of a ‘66 Batgirl 9 years after she didn’t make the cut for the Batcave. Robin would have been good, but Batgirl would have been preferable IMO.
  22. I hope they throw in a highly desirable character like Two Face of Catwoman that will go for $50+ on Bricklink.
  23. Agreed. I’d rather have a minifigure scale version.
  24. The Avengers are popular, but they’re also basically only known for the MCU movies, which is why we mainly get movie based sets for them and the occasion comic based minifgures thrown into a 4+ set of a mech. That isn’t the case with the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Spider-Man (the latter of which still gets comic based sets) who are all better known for comics and cartoons than movies.
