  1. This should answer your question: https://www.ign.com/articles/wolverine-every-costume-ever-many-looks-x-men
  2. We can’t even get Robin. No way a DC CMF would have been anything but Batman, Joker, and maybe Harley Quinn.
  3. *We get the same Wolverine with a new head and the same Rogue except with plain green legs*
  4. It says a lot about this theme that we get sets for hated Batman films over sets based on movies for other heroes that were actually well received: Superman the Movie, Superman II, Wonder Woman, Aquaman.
  5. It’s a buildable figure based on the 2011 movie, and it costs $60.
  6. I don’t know that it will be, but it wouldn’t surprise me, tbh.
  7. At this point, Lego DC is just all of us making wishes on a monkey’s paw. “I hope we get sets for Superman” *gets a mech, not related to the movie* ”I hope we get an Arkham Asylum modular” *based on the Schumacher films*
  8. “I hope Lego makes X-Men sets next year”
  9. Obviously film opinions are subjective, but Batman and Robin is definitely one of those films people pretty regularly regard as one of the worst ever. It was so bad, DC took a break from making Batman films are 6 years, rebooted the series in a wildly different direction, and we have yet to see Robin, Batgirl, Mr Freeze, or Poison Ivy appear in another film. Heck, the director and cast even apologized for making it. That said, I do kinda enjoy Batman Forever just for Jim Carrey and I will gladly add the Schumacher characters to my collection.
  10. Any way you slice it, set for an upcoming Superman movie but a $100 set for one of the worst films of all time is absolutely insane. Maybe Lego does hate DC.
  11. Getting folded into Icons would be an improvement, tbh.
  12. Arkham isn’t going to be colorful regardless. It’s a giant gray building that Lego sometimes decides to make brown.
  13. I vote for Clayface for obvious reasons. I’d be fine getting BtAS styled figures to add to the ones we already got. But I was really hoping we were finally back to getting comic styled sets. 😔
  14. Welp, I would definitely have preferred a comic based cave with some new characters, but I guess this way there’s a chance I can get a Jim Carrey Riddler. This probably isn’t a good sign for Arkham either. That probably won’t be comic based either (probably BtAS based. I didn’t think a Schumacher based set was possible, but there’s a snowballs chance in hell of two of them, with one costing $400). And I expect since there won’t be any reuses from the Batcave, 10+ figures means 10 figures. edit: who leaked the Batcave rumor? I can’t find it in any of the usual places?
  15. First off, dude, spoilers. Secondly, I gotta disagree with you here. Yeah, people comparing the show to the Sopranos were insane. The Sopranos is one of the best shows ever made. Penguin is just a very good, maybe even a great show. But it is no Sopranos. And yeah, one of things holding it down was how incompetently his enemies were written at times. But the ending wasn’t shock value. It was the whole point of the show. Oz is a horrible, selfish, psychopath who uses everyone and feels no emotions for anyone. I’m not gonna spoil the show anymore than has already been done, but there’s plenty of examples of him using people to get what he wants, even his own mother in his own sick and twisted way.
  16. List of sets with piece counts is up in the usual place. No names yet, but it looks like we’re getting mostly smaller sets this year. (4 of the 8 have just under 400 pieces, one has 204, one is 4+, and two have no piece counts yet). Edit: for reference, the Sentinel in the X-Mansion is around 220 pieces. So if one of these sets is a Sentinel, it comes with around 150-180 other pieces. Or it’s a whole other design entirely.
  17. It’s an awful movie with terrible acting and borderline schizophrenic writing that can’t decide who the characters are or even what the plot is supposed to be. The last third of the runtime is spent hammering its convoluted message into the audience’s skulls with all the subtely of a jackhammer in what is essentially an entirely new (and just as awful) movie. And I could forgive most of that if it weren’t so damn boring. I can’t think of a single decision this film made that wasn’t just poorly copying some better film. I really look forward to the day when everyone takes off their “new thing” blinders and finally turns on this waste of three hours.
  18. I wouldn’t presume that we’ll get sets for anything until a reliable source says we’re getting sets. Those kinds of assumptions could lead to a lot of disappointment if it doesn’t happen. I wish I could think of some recent example of that happening, but alas.
  19. It’s really not his fault Lego tried to make that ship at a $100 price point using $60 worth of parts.
  20. Ah, ok. Yeah, that makes sense. In all fairness, this is just the first trailer and the film is still seven months out. At this point, the marketing is just straight up vibes (ie nostalgia bait) versus actual details about the film. As we get more marketing material and the films gets closer to release, most of the questions you’ve got will probably be answered. Also, on a somewhat related note, I’m really disappointed we’re not getting anything for Creature Commandos. Sure, I understand it’s R-rated, but I would love to get comic based versions of some of these characters (especially Circe).
  21. I really don’t understand your complainant about Superman. It seems accurate enough to the source material, at least, from what I can tell. It’s a 2 minute teaser with like three lines of dialogue, which really isn’t enough to judge whether or not it’s an accurate depiction of Superman. Always glad to see hatred for The Batman. That film deserves every bit of slander it can get.
  22. I watched the Superman trailer. They absolutely dropped the ball here. And by them, I mean Lego. Gunn and co cooked fr.
  23. Hopefully in diorama form.
  24. $130 and Hulk is not included. Also, it’s a fraction of the size of the original one. But it does come with some nice black plates he can stand on.
