  1. He did have some SP, so that may have softened Fleyra's initial blow.
  2. 10 damage, I believe.
  3. "You're putting your lives at risk just for some absurd revenge plot. I'd highly recommend leaving, before I mow you down. I fire at Geoffrey then Gus, back.
  4. "You actually think you can stop us? Hah! Foolish girl..." "I will be abundantly clear for you thick skulled pests: We have reinforcements. We have the documents, and we have the man who stole them from us in our clutches. We hold every card in our hand, and have stacked the deck in our favor for every eventuality. If you try to meddle with our affairs, you will die. Can't get much clearer than that, can it? Ho ho ho... But just to prove my point, I guess a demonstration is in order." The Red and Blue Oculoids combine their efforts, both of them diving into the tree on the other side of the bridge. Their inky bodies sink into its large oaken frame, the tree withering almost instantly. Now under Oculoid control, its roots rise from the ground, the towering pillar of wood no longer tethered to the ground. The two demons exit the tree, and in a burst of dark magic, knock it down! The tree topples over the bridge, crushing through its stone structure and shattering it almost instantly. The tree and pieces of stone and wood drift away, even the tree getting swept up in the forest rapids. The Oculoids float to the other side. "There is more of that where that comes from, heroes. A lot more. Now, I will have to be content leaving you morsels behind... But if you'd like to waste your lives in battle, we await, heroes." The Oculoids chuckle as they dissappear deeper into the forest. The bridge forward was now collapsed, its pieces swept away... What will the party do?
  5. "Think of it as a beacon of sorts... A signal to our wayard brethren. You'll have more than us three Oculoids to contend with, that is for sure."
  6. QM Note: Gah, so sorry, everyone! Between hosting CAT, and life, I've negelected to post here for a while. And those dentist appointments were all just for one surgery, dammit. I cringe as Em shambles over to the enemy's side. "I'll save you, Em, but first your slave masters must go." I shoot Geoffrey and then Ivan, back.
  7. "After some discussion with Werther..." I lunge at Retak Ysp with my dagger, ignoring the shielded Calico for now.
  8. "And you think we aren't sick of you? I've killed about fifty humans and half as many years." The Blue Oculoid speaks in a chilling voice, not a bit of sarcasm or smug superiority injected into it. "To me, it is just a testament to how close he came to breaking you. Now, believe it or not, we hardly have any time for verbal beatdowns, and definitely not a battle. Although I am simply famished, and could use some souls right about now... No. We are here simply to give you a warning. Have you seen the purple smoke in the horizon, heroes?"

As they walk past the Deep's Pond, the Oculoid's virtiol still fresh in their minds, they can't help but feel a dark sense of foreboding: The purple plumes of smoke seemed to get closer and closer with every step... What were they? After what seems to be an hour of walking, the party reaches the next portion of the forest. The party could hear the bubbling of the rapid moving water, a sturdy stone bridge suspended over the 20-foot plunge into the water below. And, lo and behold, another two Oculoids lingered at the foot of the bridge. The Red Oculoid seems a bit surprised over the hero's apperance, but the Blue Oculoid merely looks at the party in disdain... "Wha-? Heroes...? Here!" "It isn't as prepostrous as you make it out to be, Red. If those fools came my way, I would already be nibbling away at the last morsels of their souls, but... Unfortunately, a meal never idd come my way. Rotten luck, considering I'm starved..."
  10. There is a little bit of roleplaying integrated into the palm, though. (Kudos to whoever knows what game inspired it. ) Next scene up in a little bit, 79ers! You're nearing the end!
  11. Karie sections out the loot, picking up the Oculoid Palm. As the other two heroes pocket their portion of the loot, the Palm slithers and coils around Karie's arm, sinking in and mimicking a tattoo. The final clash was near... The party should prepare for their final showdown. QM Note: Feel free to prepare/roleplay... The boss fight is next! 12. "You're just killing class by class, systematically, Calico. Not to mention your entire theory falls to shambles because I know my own abilities. " I stab Calico Meatpie (CallMePie).
  13. Gratuitous inky gore.

    1. Kintobor

      Kintobor

      Stains as easily as blood.

    2. Kintobor

      Kintobor

OR I've seen enough anime to know where this is going!

  14. Karie once again goes into a berserk frenzy against the Oculoid. She doesn't hold back at all, a rage taking hold over her heart and refusing to let go. She stabs over and over and over - almost dozens of times, it seemed - jets of ink spurting out from every stab. The oculoid recoiled back with every blow, simply laughing under his breath as Karie massacred him. He was too weak to take it, and too willing to resist. After what seems to be a never ending onslaught, the oculoid utters one last sentence, pointing a ragged terntacle towards the skyline: In the distance, the party can see purple plumes of smoke billow from deep within the forest. "Kyah... Kyah heh heh heh HEHEHEHEH... Do you see that, h-heroes? Where there is smoke, there is fire.. and when there is fire, there is a demon fanning it. The f-final battle await, heroes. D-do you think you can handle i-" Karie goes for another merciless stab, the oculoid falling silent as Sexy plunges through him. He looks down at the Rapier for a few moments before bursting in a cloud of darkness, splashes of ink scattering throughout. Karie steps away from the demon's corpse, covered in ink head to toe. Even with the demon destroyed, his foul vitriol remained burnt into her mind... Will the party proceed?
  15. "You can't be serious. Kill every single magic user?"
  16. "Then allow me to enlighten you." The demon points a weary tentacle at Karie - it was clear only stab or two would end him... "The Witch here said she was pretty positive she could get laid with you, despite the fact she has a boyfriend waiting for her in Eubric, already willing to marry the witch. If I didn't know better, I'd say she hexed him... Kyah heh heh..."
  17. "One spell caster. Even the spellcasters who claimed to have done nothing could've switched actions via PM."
  18. "Need I remind you that your "process of elimination" is completely reliant on whether or not the people with confirmed actions were telling the truth? One lie in the system and the entire thing falls to shambles."
  19. "I'd be willing to try, but I'm not sure it is within the rules... of reality." "So I'm assuming there is absolutely no defense you yourself would even begin to believe?"
  20. "Like I said earlier in the game (while I was not under fire), Day 1 I failed to get an action in entirely. And I assume you do not believe my "I can't throw electrical blasts" claim, then."
  21. "I don't have a mouth, you unobservant brat."
  22. "And that possibility no longer remains?"
  23. Furthermore, I came out that I had a topaz earlier. Why did nobody bring up their allegations then?
  24. "Th-that's my arm you're debating over, you little...!" The Oculoid sputters, and takes a deep breath, collecting himself. He looks towards the sun, as if discerning the time. "It seems to be about eleven A.M. Considering I suspect my funeral to be in about two minutes... You have about half a day to marry that boyfriend of yours. Oh, I'm sure he'd say yes if you asked if he would marry you. he's too much of a coward to ask himself right now, kyah heh."
  25. Like I said: I am literally incapable of simple spellcasting (shooting blasts of electricity.). Summoning is the only ethereal power I have. That logic in itself was faulty. Why would I make the jump to "kill townie - get townie cred?"
