Interesting news. I had a feeling Marvel 4 was one of the IM3 summer sets. A little disappointing that there doesn't seem to be any sets besides ones based on IM3 and MoS, but oh well. The Malibu Mansion could be a great set if it includes the hall of armors. I really hope to see War Machine in one of these sets (the IM2 version, not the fake Iron Patriot version). Black Zero, eh? Had to look this guy up. Seems like a pretty obscure villain. Wasn't Zod supposed to be the villain in this movie? Either they're both in it, or they replaced Zod with Black Zero. Nolan is known for doing things a little differently, so I wouldn't be surprised if he chose a character as obscure as Dark Zero to be the villain in Man of Steel. Either way, this is definitely a spoiler.

While that would be an absolutely awesome set, that would never happen, especially not with a 40 Euro/Dollar set. There are usually no more than 4 minifigs in sets that are below $50. And let's not turn this into a wishlist discussion. There's a separate thread for that.

Yeah, that would make sense, but what are the chances of us getting two Marvel sets that we didn't know about before, especially with all the other sets coming out? I sure hope that's the case though, and if it is, I hope they're not Spider-Man, at least one of them. We still need at least one more Ultimate Spider-Man set with Luke Cage and White Tiger to complete Spidey's team from the show, but a big X-Men set would be great too.

I agree, the Hulk mold wouldn't really work for the Thing, or anything but the Hulk for that matter. Perhaps not to you, but they follow the formula for set names that TLG has been using for years: {Name of an iconic vehicle/location from the set] + [a word like hunt/chase/battle]. The English names might be slightly different, but the original German ones are probably final.

I doubt it's a Fantastic Four set since we are already getting a set with Dr. Doom. Besides, if it was a FF set, why would it be called Marvel 4? Well, "Marvel 4" is obviously a place holder name, but the others sound pretty final to me. Some of them might sound a bit odd because they were translated from German.

27 Euros for the Freeze and Venom sets? That's a lot more than I thought. Hopefully the RRP wont be as high... And 40 for the mystery Marvel set... Perhaps it's another exclusive like the Doc Ock set? Seems like the only explanation, especially if there are an Arkham and a Penguin set too. I think he got them from this site, although I can't seem to be able to find them there. Probably by simply putting a dollar sign in front of it. That's how it usually works.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised, although it's strange that it wasn't mentioned in any of the previous rumors. Sounds like the set will be very similar to the Cpt. America set, with 3 figs, a motorcycle, and a flying thing for $12.99. And what's that "Marvel 4" set? Are you telling me that there are going to be not one, but TWO more Marvel sets in this wave? Seems unlikely, but if it's true, I'll be very happy! Unless they are Ultrabuilds. Oh, and don't listen to has_a_differing_opinion, guys. He obviously has no idea what he's talking about. It's the same guy who claimed that there is a pattern in this theme, and that Aquaman would have his own set with Black Manta not too long ago.

That's actually a pretty cool mod. I like it! I don't think I've seen any recreation of the Imperial Venators before. And yes, that was a pretty powerful part of the movie. Has the interior been imperialized too? It would be great if you would change Palpatine's office into the Venator bridge so that you could recreate that scene of Vader and the Emperor observing the construction of the Death Star!

Yeah, if by "a load of wank" you mean totally cute and hilarious, I agree. It has pretty much the same feel as the Robot Chicken SW specials, except less raunchy and with an interesting chibi animation style. If you didn't like those specials, then I guess you're out of luck, but since we knew that it was done by the same creators from the start, that was to be expected. I sure am looking forward to this more than the new season of TCW. Oh, and nice finds Kiel!

There is an official announcement of the special and a high quality trailer on StarWars.com. Yeah, there's hardly anyone else who has ever portrayed the character, at least outside of spoofs. Anthony Daniels is 3PO, and it seems like that's all he does.

I don't think Star Wars is a drama. Every story in the saga has a happy ending (more or less) and I doubt that they would make a show that's mainly aimed at kids and teaches them that life sucks and that we all die eventually. As for whether it would send the wrong message if Ventress died as part of a sacrifice for a greater good, I guess it depends on what that "greater good" is, but at this point, I would say yes, it would, especially if your theory about Ventress' symbolism is right. And yes, anything gets interesting if you look that much into it. Is this an official image? It better not be Hondo or Embo!

Wow! Great scene! You can really tell what's going on just by looking at it! That Flash blur is indeed brilliant! I love everything about it - how you can see the yellow from the lighting bolts on his head, how you can see that he jumped over that banana, how you see each of Grodd's shots going towards him, but missing - everything! Now if only that was a real Flash minifig!

Well, yes, if you don't mind spending around $5 for a cowl, that's one way to get it. Bricklink is also one of the places that might still have the versions of the sets with the old cowl in them, but it's still a gamble.

Yeah, I think the general consensus is that they changed it to reflect the look of Batman's cowl from the Nolan trilogy more, and there is no way of telling when you will get the old or the new cowl afaik. I think your best bet is to buy the set from a toy store that doesn't restock their Lego sets too often. Chances are that they might still have some sets from the first production runs when the sets still came with the old cowl. But it's pretty late, so no guarantees.

Yeah, it does seem like Hulk_Smash had a better, more educated look at these sets, but I value Wout's information too, so I agree that we should just wait and see what the final products will look like. However, I would like to ask this: Did any of you (Hulk_Smash or Wout) see if Batman had any weapons in the Freeze set? I think it would be neat if we would get white Batarangs to go with the White Batman, or at least some flame throwers like in the cartoon (although I guess the latter wouldn't be too hard to build yourself). Well, since the System sets seem to be mixed now, I wouldn't be surprised if the action figures were too, but it seems to me that they are planning to stick with the 3 figs per wave. Otherwise I'm sure they would have included Thor in the Avengers wave. However, it's also possible that they discontinue the ultrabuild series since I don't think they are very popular. But this is not really the place to discuss this.

Those collectable animal sets sound interesting indeed, but since they're numbered and come with an individual home, I guess they wont be mystery packs like the CMFs, more like the planet sets from SW where it clearly says what's inside. Which is good, because I had no intent to stand in a Lego Store for an hour feeling pink bags with cute animals on them. Pink Hulk anyone?
