Interesting thread! Well there are some episodes that come to my mind: At the beginning of the Fairly OddParents episode "Pipe Down", Timmy is trying to build a several feet tall version of the Eifel Tower with "Loco" bricks! There were two sketches done with (and about) Legos in the stop motion sketch show "Robot Chicken": In the episode "Slaughterhouse on the Prairie" there is a commercial for a new LEGO line called "LEGO Babel", and in the episode "Easter Basket" the pharaoh minifig makes his subjects build a pyramid for him out of Legos, but when they run out of bricks and start using different colors and parts from other themes, they decide to bury the pharaoh alive and keep the pimped out pyramid for themselves! Good stuff! I hope that helped and that you can catch those episodes! Also, talking about this kind of stuff makes me think of the "Lego Show", a German family entertainment & game show for charity that aired in October 2003 on the SAT 1 channel. The point of the show was it for a team to complete the task of building a bridge out of DUPLOs during the 2 hour show while some of Germany's finest comedians and the young ones in the audience competed in LEGO themed games - and if the bridge was ready to carry a car by the end of the show, the team would win and some preschools in need would recieve a literal truck load of bricks! It worked, so the show had a happy ending! Sigh... Good times, good times! Yeah, that was awesome! Camping in bricks ON!!

How the heck is that supposed to work? I mean, it's an interesting idea, but think about it: except for choosing body parts in the same color as your sigfig, what can you do to make it look similar to it? The biggest problem there would be the head! there are many sigfigs with sig hats, and there are no hats for bionicles. Sorry.

Very Good! Looks like you got my idea pitch just in time! Although you altered the climax, it came out pretty good, even better maybe! And I your technique! How did you make the transition from one copy to the other so seemlessly? I have only one remark, though: Your grammar. Yes, I know, this is not the most important thing here , but I'm just saying; just try not to put an "ing" after every verb, OK? I hope to see you in the comic game soon! Why don't you join too, vaders son? Looking forward to the next Part ON!

Idk if these have been posted and/or discussed yet - if they have please forgive me, it's very hard to keep track of this humongous thread - but here are some pics of new keychains I found on BS: So what do you think? I think they look pretty good - way better than the ones we have right now at least. I might actually get one of those JSFs! Btw, is anything on the current keychains not glued? Oh, and if anybody's interested, there are some new shirts too:

Interesting, but I think it might look better if you turn those things inside out so that the "thorns" are on the outside. Could you try that and post a pic? Hey, that's even better! Thanks for sharing!

Very cute story indeed! I PMed you two different ideas I had! Btw, We could use stories like this in the SW CW Comic Game! Why don't you join?
-
No, not exactly. What do you mean by "begin and end"? And when you say"customs",do you mean "MOCs"? Btw, in how much of a time span can one post take place in? I mean, what's the limit? One day?

LOL! Very good! The dragon is awesome!

Hi, James, I am not sure, but I don't think there is one. I think it's because clones are cooler and more interesting, but if you want, you can start such a forum! As you are the lucky owner of an MTT now, I think you are quite qualified to do so! Since droids are plentier than clones, this could actually end up being more impressive than the clones forum! PS: Spell checking done!
-
Hm... I think you scared everybody off with your "don't-enter-if-you're-not-good-enough" attitude in the first post. Perhaps I should have applied as well... Oh well, too late now! Good Luck everyone, I am looking forward to seeing what this competition will bring out in you!

I am working on a small Republic outpost (about Crystal Skull Temple size) that I can use for the SW CW Comic Game! You don't know what that is?? Well, check it out at the link of the pic below! We would be honored to welcome some more players!

Hey, That's not bad! Yeah, that head really is perfect for Stark! Man, you make want to get a Snake Oiler set now! The suit is OK, I guess. Needs work, though. Is the head a custom? If yes, it's not a very good one. Not for this suit that is. I saw the movie too! Has anyone waited through the Credits? At the end, Stark is greeted by General Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson ), director of S.H.I.E.L.D., who tells him about the Avenger Initiative! That means we might be getting an Avenger movie soon!

STUPID QUESTION ALERT: What and where is Lego World? Everybody's talking about it, and I don't have a clue what it is! Also, is that the "sickness" you were talking about? Shame on you, liar! Anyway, just hurry up - and declare me as the winner already! No, seriously, this has gone on long enough!

Well, I have a small blaster (for self-defense) and a custom starfighter, but not much actually. You know, I designed my character as somebody who could be visited and hired by one of the others for some kind of mechanic or pilot job and thereby get involved in the overall story. ( Wink, wink ) Throughout the story, I might aquire new, better weapons & gadgets - or even build them myself. We'll see... That's too bad btw, Palin Jax, would have been great having you here! I know it's quite a tragedy and all, but at some point we'll all have to deal with it. There are still a couple of days until this game begins, and I hope that you'll get over it in time to change you're mind! But do whatever you gotta do, man! PS: I think, it would be good, JimButcher, if you would have the list of players in the first post and would always just update that!

Oh! I'm sorry! didn't see that when I searched for something like this. Stupid EB Search! But My topic is better - it's got a link to a part of the mini-movie!
-
I just received an email from S@H about the new Indy sets and UCS GG being available now, and in the corner there was a little ad that states that there will be a CG animated LEGO Indiana Jones mini-movie called "Raiders of the Lost Brick" airing on Cartoon Network on May 10th at 9 pm! It consists of 4 parts and you can check out the first part HERE!

Oh, I get it! It's from the new casting show "Castle Idol"! Nice! LOL! Yeah, that is really silly! In fact, it sounds like something from Monthy Python or something! Silly detours On!

SAY WHAAAT?! OMG, I didn't know it would come out this early; I thought it would be out around Christmas or something, as it was not even shown at Toy Fair or anything! This is jaw-droppingly awesome - I don't care how much it is, I have to have it! - but I am not ready for it yet! I am broke at the moment, and there are still BPs and Castle & Indy sets to be bought! So, nothing to do but to wait... Maybe I'll even wait fo the price to drop...

That's great Batbrick! (Bat)Brickfilms On! Yeah, I'm thinking of getting into this stuff again, too, but right now I'm too busy with college. Besides, I go to the Art Institute where I am majoring in Media Arts & Animation, so I am doing enough animation at the moment! But maybe in summer break... You can see my work at the link provided in my sig. As for software, I would have a couple of suggestions. As a video editing software, I would definitely use Ulead Video Studio! It's easy to use and features many cool effects! For a stop motion software there are many options. One would be Monkey Jam. It's the one we use at school and it's alright. Another thing would be Claymation Studio. I just got it and haven't worked with it yet, but I think it's pretty good. Also, there is some simple, but effective, stop motion software available for free download online, like SM Animator for example. I don't know about cameras, though. I think anyone with a reasonable quality will do. I used to use Vision Command because You could always build it onto the baseplate you were shooting, but the quality was pretty bad. Today I would probably use my new, better webcam. I would recommend using a webcam because it connects to the computer and you can see how it looks on the monitor right away, but what you use is totally up to you! So, get out there and animate them LEGOs! And if there is any prievious work of yours that you would like to show us, please do! Good luck!

Idk, I only have Vader Transformation and Slave 1. Both are great part packs and have some nice minifigs! But Tacitus is right in saying that the new one is probably better, although I don't own it and can't completely confirm that. I think it's also about what color scheme which minifigs you like better. Judging from images, I would say the Jedi Starfighter wasn't that great, but the Lightsaber Duel seems to have some interesting parts to offer.

Dang! I didn't know all of them are leaving us either! That means that all the cool admins are gone - the only ones we have left are a "Whacky" Walrus aka. Sinner and Mr. Insanity aka. Hinckley! THE END OF EUROBRICKS IS NEAR! Hehe! Just kidding! But that's an interesting scenario you got there, goggleson! That river of lava that seperates the two parties makes it seem very dramatic!

That's a tough one, james! I am in the same situation as you, and I decided to do what JimButcher said, because although I am absolutely against buying any more of those droids with the old arms and no real weapons , I really need some SBDs! Also, the BP come with those neat new STAPs! But then again, darkrebelion is right: In the MTT you get different ranks of standard droids and a destroyer! So, it would be best to get some of both, especially if you can get the MTT for less! Btw, why would you wait until next month to get the MTT? Is that when they go on sale? If not, can someone please tell us when? Thanks!
-
Cool! Can't wait to see it!
-
Unfortunately, no, I don't have any of those! They are really neat, but also really expensive! Especially having a double bladed Maul one would be awesome, even though I can imagine it to be very long, but I rather spend that kind of money on SW Legos!
-
Yes, the Avatar heads work very well and I knew there would be a good way to use that sexy Catwoman jump suit! Also, the heads will come in very handy by the time the new animated show comes out and we start making custom secondary characters!
