My thoughts exactly! Just look at that awesome Volcano Base and that piece-of-crap Mustafar Duel set! I will try to find the money to buy the Volcano base and mod it into a nice Mustafar scene once it comes out! He is talking about the Death Star playset. Old news. But yeah, I bet it'll be awesome!

So, a bignette is square as well then? Anyway, I'm allmost done with my vignette entry. I just have a question: If we have one or more Jedi on our vignette who hold their lightsabers in such an angle that they reach over the edge of the vignette quite a bit, is that a violation of the rule that no more than 1 stud may look over that edge?

I have put all projects on hold in order to be able to concentrate on the Indy & Clone Wars Contests!
-
Sweet! Finally a good contest again! And this time it's even Indy themed and has story telling opportunity! I'm so gonna enter this once I think of something good! "Indiana Jones and the Great Contest" ON!
-
Right now, the Lego Retail Store in Downtown Disney has all Exo Force sets for 25% less and all Aqua Raiders for 50% less! This is probably only for a short time, so get them while you can!
-
Hm... Forklift is a pretty good idea! I just thought of something: landing gear! Pushing the landing gear into the plane or whatever makes it wind up and when you want it to come out, you just push the button! Anybody else got an idea?

I'm not done, but I'm gonna get started right away and try to be done by the time the thread is up, 'cause I'm going on vacation in two weeks! Therefore, it would be good if the thread was up by Friday the 13th, or else I would have to take the pics of my entry with me and post them from my laptop.

Hi, everybody! I think that the Wind-Up Motor from the Creator Cargo Copter and Coast Guard Helicopter is a very interesting piece! It allows you to include a button-activated motor in your MOCs without wasting a lot of space! So, I was wondering, besides the two uses that TLG provided (winch & propeller), what other functions could you use it for? Automatic Catapults? Wing-folding mechanisms for Star Wars ships? Just post anything that comes to your mind!

WOW! This is so great! I love the Clone Wars and can't wait to enter! And the prizes are the best I've ever seen: custom pieces of your choice! Awesome! So, you can enter both a vignette AND a bignette? Sweet! But where is the submissions thread? Link please? CW ON!

Yeah, I guess the alien(s) in Indy 4 could be considered to be Duros, but the skeleton minifigs are really just that: dead versions of them. So if you would want to use their heads for a custom Duro, you would have to paint them green and fill out the eye sockets with yellow play-doh or something. That would be pretty neat actually! Anybody wanna try that?

Cutlass to foreshadow a return of the Pirate Theme?
Oky replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Pirates
Is the cutlass a sign of the return of Pirates? Maybe not. But I do believe that the Pirates theme will return soon! That is more due to the reapearance of the sharks, though. Also, just look at this forum: Pirates is one of TLC's most popular themes ever! So, it is way over due that they pick it up again! Anyway, my vote is yes, as I think that it is one of many small signs. -
All I need is a "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" month (August?) and all my themed month dreams will come true! Anyway, I hope that the contest(s) will be announced soon, 'cause I'll be gone by the middle of June and won't have time to work on entry(s)!

This looks really neat! Loving that steampunk car thingy! Jule Verne stories always provide good material for great MOCs! And yes, I would very much like you to continue! Thereby, I would prefer vehicles and landsapes over creatures, but if you have a good idea for a monster-moc, don't let me stop ya! Now, if those MOCs would even tell some kind of adventurous story, that would be even cooler! And the best way to do so is in a comic! Center of the Earth MOCs ON! PS: If I may make a suggestion, you might want to consider using glow-in-the-dark pieces for your next chrystal MOC!

My thoughts exactly. At the first glance it didn't even look like something from SW. It's so blocky and ugly that it looks like a bad SW edition of Space Invaders. You know how "bad words" get replaced by the word "megablocks" on this great website after posting? Considering that this might have happened when the title "Star Wars Megablocks" of this topic was posted, it's a very appropriate title! 1 out of 5 for the effort, the courage to use megablocks, and for the fact that the MOC looks at least somewhat like a super star destroyer. Dishonoring the good name of SW lego by the use of clone brands OFF! PS: Thanks for sharing though, simonjedi, it's good to know that there is someone actually brave enough to attempt a Star Wars MOC with with such an undesirable medium. Don't be offended by any outraged comments; it's not like you made these.

Atomic Bomb Testing Facility: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Cry
Oky replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Licensed
I bet he didn't. They are probably just stacked. -
YAY! Indy Month! Honestly, this doesn't surprise me that much. Hinckley had mention there being a new theme month in June at some point, and with all the Indy commotion lately, I was pretty sure it would be this way! And I'm very happy that I was right! This also explains the recent lack of contests - they have all been saved for this month! So, bring on the Indy themed MOC contests!!! I haven't made any Indy MOCs and can't wait to start! I'm looking forward whatever may await us in this adventurous month! Orange-to-Yellow Gradient Fonts ON!

Looks cute! Very cartoony! I like it!

Really? Where do you keep your Lego? I have two, and most of the time they never even touch my Lego.
-
I think that might have been misinterpreted. After the last minifig-scale Milenium Falcon came out, Kaufhof had it as kind of an exclusive sale for half the price for a limited time during Christmas. Perhaps this is something like that? That would mean that the price of 140 € has to be wrong, though! I mean, why would it be so much more expensive anyway! It was on page 167 of this very thread! Here is the link. If that's what you meant, it's bad news for you, I think, since this was only in Germany and is now sold out again.

Indy has found yet another great use for a fridge! Nice little, random thing. I had some trouble recognizing that white SNOT-block as a fridge though. Maybe because I've never seen a fridge with a handle like that. Perhaps you should put two of those clips on there; one at the bottom, one at the top; and connect them with a 6 studs long stick. That might make it look more like a fridge but that's just me.

Here is commanderbly42's list (which I agree with) with the prices & piece counts stated at Toy Fair and Mr. Mandalorian's £ prices: 7673 - Magna Guard Fighter - Price: $44.99 USD; $54.99 CAD; £39.99 - 421 pcs - July 26th/August 7674 - V-19 Torrent - Price: $54.99 USD; $69.99 CAD; £49.99 - 471 pcs - July 26th/August 7675 - AT-TE - Price: $89.99 USD; $119.99 CAD; £69.99 - 798 pcs - July 26th/August 7676 - Republic Gunship - Price: $119.99 USD; $139.99 CAD; £79.99 - 1,034 pcs - July 26th/August 7677 - ? - ? 7678 - Droid Gunship - ? 7679 - TX-130S Fighter Tank - ? 7680 - The Twilight - ? 7681 - Homing Spider Droid - ? 10188 - Death Star - ? I think, that's as much as we can say for sure at the moment. If there is anything I missed, please add it! Maybe, but it's always good to have an overview of all the facts we know and to update it from time to time.

This is a very good review, thank you! But I have some questions about the grey new parts in the life raft. Are they 1x1 like their counterparts with the clips or 1x2? And can they be held by a minifig by the handle? If so, these could be very useful for brick-build weapons & tools! Also, I'm looking forward to some orange ETA 2 Jedi Interceptor MOCs now! Who wants to be the first to make one? BTW, which Jedi has an orange ETA 2?

Yet another nice cave racer, although it might be missing some wings! Apparently, a certain Tim Gould, aka. Gambort came up with the idea of "Cave Racers" and the rules for them for his flickr group. Is that the contest you build this for that they are tlaking about in the discussions of that group? For those who don't know 'em, here is the criterion:

Sweet! That sounds great! Thanks for sharing! I'm a little sceptic, though, since previous Wii/DS only titles were more directed to a younger audience and were kind of kiddie games. On the other hand, this is the first SW game that was developed specifically for Wii, so there is hope for a more fine tuned lightsaber gameplay for the Wii-mote in the style of Red Steel! CW ON!

Hehe! Very good idea! Lol, I never realized how much Kilroy & Dr. Jones Sr. look alike! Maybe you could have included Pippin & Marion as well. It's a hard decision to make alright! Can't make up my mind! Someone should make a poll for this!
