WOW, thanks! :-$ Perhaps I do have a chance of winning! *sweet* Yeah, I like my jetpack guy, too, and the palm tree parts thing, well, looking at the parts in the Block-Block pic just reminded me of them, so I used 'em. :-) I am aware that I'm missing piece count and such info (I said "rest comes later!" :-| ), but does that information have to be on the picture or is it OK that it's just mentioned in the post? That's what I was going to do since normal lego sets only have the age range, serial #, and set name on it. Btw, that's one heck of a teaser pic! 8-

There is still time to edit your entry. Try finding a pic or vid of that old wild west prison cell of the sherif's office or the cells in the current Police station.

Well... if you insist. X-D I posted the box art of my set and the theme description. Hope you like it - I made it just the way you wanted it, with the ship and a glow-in-the-dark moon and everything! *sweet* Sorry I didn't come up with some hilarious garbage related crazy set; I took this contest all too serious to begin with :-$ and actually tried to interpret the theme of the set in the picture in a way TLC would market it. :-| If you notice, I even wrote my post like an actual letter to TLC, just like the rules stated. :-| Although it might seem a bit boring compared to the other entries, I am quite satisfied with the background story I came up with for the theme. It's like a mix between the plots of the cartoon shows "Sonic the Hedgehog" and "Samurai Jack". :-P They should totally make an action-packed animated show out of this! X-D Anyway, enjoy! the rest comes later.

Dear LEGO Design Team, With this post I'd like to make a suggestion for a great new line of products! The theme's name is "Apocalyptica" and this is its premise: In a post-apocalyptic world ruled by a mysterious Evil Sorcerer, a small group of resistance fighters who are trained in the art of Tonfa Kung Fu Fighting battle for justice and freedom! These rebels did not only survive the apocalypse which was caused by the Evil Sorcerer, but they have also been mutated by it! Each of them now posses some kind of supernatual ability: Hiryu, the leader, can run lightning-fast, Osaka, his best friend, has superhuman strength, and Kiki, the girl in the gang with a secret crush on Hiryu, has certain telepathic powers and can project various copies of herself around her to fool enemies! Recently, the Evil Sorcerer has been on a quest for specific rare stones called Hora Emeralds. Legend says that, once essembled, these 5 mystical stones enable the user to travel through time! The Sorcerer is planning to use this power to reshape the universe in his dark image, but our heroic trio will not let him succeed! Should they be able to retrieve the emeralds before the Evil Sorcerer does, they might just be able to go to the past and prevent the Sorcerer from causing the apocalypse and rising to power! Who will win? Here is what I think one of the sets could look like: Emerald Escape Pieces: 271 MSRP: USD 29.99 The Evil Sorcerer is getting away with a bunch of Hora Emeralds! Hiryu, Osaka, and Kiki must stop him before he can escape to the Space Dome, his orbiting space station, but the Sorcerer is not alone! He has one of his dangerous Domedrone henchmen with him! Will our heroic trio be able to get the emeralds back before it's too late? You decide! Includes 1 Domedrone, Hiryu, Osaka, Kiki, & Evil Sorcerer minifigures!

Well I'm done taking pics and am photoshoping everything right now. But I have a question: Are multiple small action function shots like SlyOwl did OK? Or would it be better without? Cause my set has some reeeally cool functions! X-D

*sing* YEESSSS! Thank you oh Great Hinkley! *y* *y* *y*

:-$ Uhm... I might need some more time. Just one day or so... to make pictures, and to photoshop and post them. I'll try to get most of that stuff done today, but it would really help to have enough time to make it a somewhat decent entry! Please? *sweet* But then again, as I am still an "enormous piece of poo" apparently :-| , I guess I am not in the position to make such requests... :'-( So, when is the deadline then, at midnight tonight?

The Fantastical Steam Contraptions (RC's Steampunk Impulse)
Oky replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Good Job! *y* Your automaton reminds me of IG-88! :-D I love the Dr. Monkeywrench minifig! 8- -
I like the sound of that! *y* I don't like the train idea, though; I only have some pretty old ones and am not a big fan of them. Sorry. But if you train-nuts want a contest like that, go ahead, but count me out. *sad*

Inspired by Exobuilder's supersized Exo Force Vig, here is another great idea: Exo Force: Final Battle Contest TLC will discontinue the Exo Force line, but the end of the story hasn't been told yet! How does the epic war, humans vs. machines, turn out? What will the big final battle be like? To answer this question, and to give EXO FORCE a worthy goodbye, we shall have this contest! Option 1: Build a scene or diarama that shows this last epic battle using minifigures from the line! The last thing we heard of Exo Force is that they went into the Jungle to rescue Sensei Keiken who is being held prisoner there by the Robots. If you think the last fight will be held here, you would need to use battle machines from this wave or make new ones that are similar in style/design. If you think the battle will be held later at a different place/setting with possibly all new battle machines, you can choose the setting and create new mechs (as long as they fit the theme), and/or put together a best-of of all the officially released ones. Make it a really cool battle scene, and don't forget to include the defeat of Mecha One! Option 2: Imagine TLC would have released one more wave of Exo Force sets to conclude the story... What would these sets have looked like? You can make one or more good and/or evil battle machine(s) of various sizes/price range or a playset. Again, be creative, but make it fit into the theme, and make it sonething to give an honnorable end to a great line! And if we get some really good entries (which I'm sure we would ;-) ) we could show'em to TLC and maybe pursue then to continue the line! *sweet*

Those little promorional looking sets seem to be mini-recreations of the normal sets, but instead of the Ferry there is red little doppeldecker airplane. 8-| Is this some preliminary mistake or a sign that there will be a full scale model of that? That would be sweet! :'-) , although it would be weird, too, as I can still remember the model of the Red Baron's plane very well, and I don't think that this would be much any different than that, except for the count of wings. *wacko* Does anybody know more about this?

thanks right back atcha for the support for my own game! ;-) I'm gonna have to get back to you (or Yoda) on that - I still need to know how this technically works, with the whole poll thing and all - but until then let me just respond to your concerns: 1. Sure I'll give you credit 4 inspiration, buddy! ;-) 2. I can imagine that its a whole lot of fun doing this! :'-) 3. It appears, though, that I must plan my game out thoroughly before I start it 8-| ... Therefore, I think that it will probably start AFTER yours has finished, so it being in the same theme wont be a problem. But if you still wouldn't like that, don't worry! Even though SciFi is tottally my thing, I am actually thinking of an epic treasure-huntish adventure story or some kind of secret agent thing! Or maybe I'll combine everything and make it a secret agent on an epic treasure hunt through space? *sweet* :-D We'll see! ;-) Well, as I said, I can't wait for the next chapter in this excitning story - I will probably not sleep and check EB every minute until you post it! X-D So, keep it up! *y* PS: Are we ever gonna find out the truth behind the mystery of what caused 'The Cataclysm' and /or how it happened? 8-
-
Nice Job! *y* Good stuff indeed - or should I say horrifying? X-D Can't wait for the next one! Honestly, though, I had expected this place to look worse somehow, but as this is just outside the Deadzone, I guess it's OK. And although I wouldn't have voted it of course, it would have been cool if there would have been a voting option to proceed further into the deadzone! *skull* But overall this is a very cool and creative game you made there. *y* Unfortunately I noticed its existence just today. :-$ I didn't even know until now that such a thing as an interactive game is possible, and I have to say that I like it very much! *wub* I might even ask *yoda* for permission to create one myself! *sweet* Keep up the good work! ;-) PS: How long is this game gonna go on?

I believe to remember scenes from SW:CW where their neck does show when they get their butt kicked by Grievous, but yes, usually it is hard to notice. So, you might be right, but I don't really care for standard clones anyway; I just want those sweet Arc troopers! X-D And on them you hardly notice the flesh neck with that thing on their shoulders! Although that is an interresting idea, I don't think that that would be better. Jango may be wearing a headpiece (we don't know for sure), but clones definitely don't. Besides, I really like the idea of using that head to make a fleshie, cartoonie Jango. But if you are so upset about this detail and like the old-Jango-head idea, you can always order those from BL or just get non-painted black heads from Pick-A-Brick or something. ;-)
-
Thanks for the great comparision, ImperialScouts! Really helpful those of us who don't have the old Phase 1 clones! Looking at it, I have to say that I like the new clones way better than the old ones! *y* The part of the helmet they look through looks better painted on and allows to have an actual face underneath it. *y* The face is a cartoony Jango! *y* The fact that you can see the fesh neck makes it look more realistic. *y* The new helmets also have those little holes on the side that enable you to attach cool things like antenas or one of those blind thingies! *y* And even the new better and more accurate! PS: Does anyone have close-ups of Obi Wan? :'-)

I have to admit that the Lost In Time idea was a pretty good one (yay me X-D )! Remember the Anne Frank example I mentioned? Well, this is what I had in mind: My sigfig, Oky Wan, goes back in time and lands in the attic of a dutch house where he sees a sad little girl writting her diary, so he decides to cheer her up by playing a happy loud song on his drums for her, but somehow she doesn't seem too happy... :-D

Btw, I read this over at the ToyFair discussion: I was very disappointed to hear this, even though Dadster is right in saying that it was inevitable as the Potter stories do get darker and TLC would never make sets to a movie that has the words 'blood' or 'death(ly)' in its title. :-P My depression about these news however gave me a great idea, as depressions seem to tend to do (Block Block Contest ;-) ): How about we salute this great line with a contest? *sweet* Here is what I have in mind: Harry Potter Contest What would Lego sets for Harry Potter 6 & 7 (And The Halfblood Prince/ And The Deathly Hallows) look like? Give us your guess in a set-like recreation of a scene from one of those two books! It can be a small 5$ set or a big 100$+ set! You don't need to provide price or piece count or anything (I'm not as petty as Hinckley ;-) ), just be creative and make it look like a cool Lego set that would honnor the name of Lego Harry Potter! :-) I can already see great entries being made, especially for the last book, portraying events like the retrieval of the last horcruxes, the Battle of Hogwarts, the Final Duel with Harry vs. Voldemort, or maybe even the last scene of book 7 at platform 9 3/4 where we see Harry & the gang all grown up with their kids! *sweet* And, who knows, maybe the entries are so good that we can pursue TLC to change their mind and continue the line! :'-) ;-)

Any news or photos on Toy Fair London or NYC??

X-O Oh! Now I see it! It's like that 1x2 plate with the handle bar on it that we've been getting in Creator sets and such throughout the last year, only now with the handle on the one-stud wide side of the plate! 8- -

*sing* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :'-( I'm a big Potter fan, and Lego Harry Potter was one of the cutest lines ever! But, admittably, as the books/movies proceed and the stories get better, they also do get very dark (which is what makes them so cool ;-) ). Well, let us salute then a great line! *sad* -
Or maybe a mech contest where the mechs need to be based on an animal design. *sweet* But yeah, Creator would be nice, too!

Hey, wait a minute! I think these are supposed to be CAKE! *sweet* Judging from the red little round pieces its strawberry cake! YUMM! X-D
