Very Nice! Can you make a Desert/Staff of Ra -Indy using the white ninja head dress thingy of the Dengar minifig?

I'm a nerdy little dwarf who asks nothing more than a nice beer, some food, and peace to invent cool new vehicles and weapons like the mine defender! And perhaps also a beautiful princess to move in with him and his 6 bachelor dwarf pals!

Is there a place to post experiments, twchniques, etc?
Oky posted a topic in General LEGO Discussion
Here's something I was just wondering: Is there a place here on EB where members can share cool ideas, techniques, and experiments they have found, done, or come up with? If not, that would be a big gap to fill! -
A poll to decide a star wars set for february 2009
Oky replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If it makes you feel better, Jim, FBTB is having a poll right now to determine how many voted once and how many voted multiple times... and how many didn't even consider that voting more than once is possible! -

LEGO AGENTS - Mission 1: Jetpack Pursuit

Yes, the arm is "symetrical"! That's why I got two of this set! -
A poll to decide a star wars set for february 2009
Oky replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
So... is voting over now? It says that the deadline was May 17th, but it still looks like you could vote. Oh well. I have been voting for choice 1 everytime I logged onto EB (about four times a day) via the link at the frontpage! If voting is over, I guess there is nothing left to do but hope that choice 1 wins! -
Yes! It does! Click here and to see some test runs of this puppy! And, no, it's not the cable that's holding it in the air! That's just their for safety purposes!

LEGO AGENTS - Mission 1: Jetpack Pursuit
Oky replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks, guys! I really tried to make it a good first review! Now to answer your questions: The robot arm can fit EF robot claws and anything that a minifig can hold in his hand or that would fit into a 1x1x1 cylinder, so normal minifig hands are too small to fit. TLG is using the robot claw idea for the main villain of the Agents line! Do you still want me to try it out and take pics? The price was 10.99 USD at the TRU I bought it at. I bet it'ss be a dollar less on S@H! And I'm sorry, but I probably won't get any more sets any time soon. I have to save my money for all the other good set that are to come. But if I would get another set, it would just be the one with the helicopter and the all-silver car! If anyone gets this set, can he/she PLEASE review it? Thanks! Any other questions I can answer for you guys? -
What do galactic marines have to do with the color of Plo Koon's lightsaber? And where do you plan on getting a yellow blade? I would like to have one too!

This might sound a little awkward, but even though I use Obi Wan to represent myself here on EB, I am probably more the Anakin Skywalder type. See, usually I am a verry good hearted person that only good things happen to. I am good with animation and artistic stuff, and that's the only thing I am good at. Without that, I probably wouldn't have any successful carrier in prospect, just like Anakin would have stayed a slave on Tatooine without his strong force powers. Both Anakin and I have made a significant journey (Tatooine - Coruscant / Germany - California) to be taught and to perfect the only thing we are good at. I am now living close to Hollywood and am a student at the Art Institute, so, like Anakin, I am on the way to become one of the best of my kind (Animator) and hopefully will. However, when I am under presure, I tend to do really stupid things for my own benefit that end up hurting me (and others) more than being helpful. I don't know why I do, it's just that way, and I'm trying to change. Nevertheless, in a stressfull situation, I am likely to do a stupid, spontaneous thing that will drive me to the dark side for good just because I think this would benefit me somehow , just like Anakin ended up joining the emperor in order to save the person he loved! But as I am actually a very good person, I would leave the darkside once my family needed my help, just like Vader turned against the emperor to save his son! Yes, I do have a lot of issues! But that's exactly why I relate to Anakin so much! Please don't hate me for this!

Hi y'all! Guess what happened today? When walked into my Toys 'R' Us in Fullerton, CA, just to buy a simple Tiny Turbo racer, what do I see? All the Agents sets sitting on the shelf, ready for the taking! I didn't have too much money with me, so I just got 2 of 8631 Mission 1: Jetpack Pursuit! It's a really cool little set, so I thought I'd review this puppy for you! I shall proceed in the order of the instructions. So, let's get started! The Minifigs Let's begin with the minifigs, Saw Fist and Agent Chase! They are really cool, some of the coolest minifigs I have seen in a while! I took off Saw Fist's wig & chainsaw so you can see his head and cybernetic arm better! Here is a back view of Saw Fist, and - SURPRISE! Agent Chase has a double sided head! One side with his cool "mission face" with sunglasses and headset, and one with his casual Bruce Wayne type face (note, though, that it is not really the Bruce Wayne face). His wig, btw, is Mutt's hairpiece in black! Very neat! Poor Saw Fist seems to be forced to always drag his chainsaw around for it is way too long to just hang down from his shoulder like a normal arm. The Snowmobile Next up, we have the snowmobile, a sleek little vehicle with only minor design flaws! The container with the jewel is attached to the vehicle by a single stud, so it doesn't fall off, but is easy to pick up! In the pic below you can see the only two tiny design flaws: Thanks to the exhaust pipes, the laser cannon (or whatever it's supposed to be) can't be lowered any further than this. Also, the corners of that slope-ish piece that the handle bar rests on are sticking out a little at the sides. Other than that, it's pretty well done! The Jetpack Finally, there is the Jetpack! IMO, a name like Autogyro-pack or something would make more sense, but whatever. Although a little bulky, the Jetpack is very well designed! The rotor can be tilted back, and at the lower back of the Jetpack, there is hook with which you can grab the container with the jewel from the snowmobile. What I like best about the Jetpack is that although it is attached to the minifig in kinda the same way as that of the Riddler, this one doesn't rotate around. So, the Agent is being held in place steadily! "See ya later, chainsaw-cyborg-dude!" Stickers This set comes with a surprisingly large sticker sheet. The reason is that half of it are extra stickers! There are two large Agents logos and one Inferno logo - perfect for Agents MOCs! There are also a star and a small, round sticker portraying the number of the mission. The star seems to be part of some kind of game where you collect the stars from all sets on an Agents ID that you get from the Mission 5 set. I don't know, though, if you get any gain from this except for becoming a full-status Lego Agent! Below, you can find the list of parts from this set! Click here for a better quality pic! That's pretty much it! I hope you liked this review and will run straight to your next toy store to get one or more of this set! This was my very first set review! So any questions, comments, or requests? Any more pics you want me to take? Would you like me to exchange the chainsaw with something else, or do you want me to try the Agent's new hairpiece out on another fig? If so, just tell me! See ya!

YAY! I'm hilarious!

Yes, you read right! The Castle sets are finally available in the US, along with the release of the Agents! And that 50th Anniversery Special Edition Brick Box and one of the new racers sets was there too! I got my Mine defender, Troll Assault Wagon, and 2 of Mission 1 - Jetpack Pursuit of the Agents line today! I'll post a review of the latter later today.

Yeah, but Mace Windu had a blue lightsaber in Jedi Power Battles! This game has been released a little ahead of its time and was therefore kind of inaccurate IMO. Also, I don't think it was supposed to be cannon. So, JPB isn't exactly a good reference, but I have to admit that a yellow lightsaber suits Plo Koon very well. I guess it's up to you if you believe the old video games and action figures or the new movies - or the rumor that Plo Koon might own different lightsabers... However, this particular minifig has been modeled after the portrayal of Plo Koon in the new cartoon where he has a blue saber as seen in the new trailer. Therefore, it's actually accurate. He still looks better with a yellow one though! Maybe we can exchange the blade... if there is a trans-yellow blade out there that is... Is there? Anyone? Well, if not, the trans-orange one from the Mini Podracers or the normal yellow one from the Jungle Duel set will do, I think.

Yeah, seriously, why is everybody acting like they haven't seen the Toy Fair pics lately? Anyway, I would be happy if the sets would come out in July already! As for the DS set, I agree that there is a lot to put in instead of TIEs! I bet it will include a little trash compactor part and the control room where R2 & 3PO are hiding! Hopefully also a little cell block! DS ON!

You're right, there isn't any cartoon, but the designs are there! In the first paragraph of this thread, I provided links to the maquettes that these figs are based on.

Meanwhile, at the edge of the deserted industrial section of Coruscant, starship designer Oky Wan Kenobi was minding his own business. It was his day off, so he decided to continue working on his personal starfighter. It's a ship Oky Wan was building to test a new design of Jedi starfighter he was working on, the Jedi Interceptor. He buit it out of the wreckage of a Koro-2 Exodrive airspeeder that he found in a junkyard. The guy at the junkyard said that it was found in front of the Outlander Club a few years ago. Oky Wan was constantly changing the design and, therefore, was always on a quest for the newest starship parts. He had received an offer from a trader called Moda Annix the other day. So, Oky Wan told him to meet him by the deserted industrial section at 3:30 that day. Oky Wan arrived in his ship at the meeting place exactly on time, and so did Annix. He parked his starfighter and walked toward the trader, already inspecting the goods that were put on display. They seemed to be in a good shape and Oky Wan had a good feeling about this. Annix greeted him friendly and started talking about the parts. About ten minutes later, their deal was almost sealed, when suddenly they heard intense blaster fires coming from the deserted industrial section! At first, they believed the shots were directed at them, but quickly they realized that their was some kind of battle going on on the roof tops of the buildings nearby. Being the good-hearted souls they were, they decided to go in and see if somebody needed their help. Oky Wan rushed to his ship to get his blaster, while Moda took out the cortosis sword that he always carried with him. Once they were armed, they hurried toward the noise. Little did they know what kind of trouble they were getting themselves into... When I saw that nobody was posting any actual comics, I was a little disappointed, so I decided to begin with it! No offense, though, you guys have some pretty mad writing skills! So, what do you think? I am pretty proud of that ship! I think, it looks awesome! The background is nothing special really, just something I threw together to make a nice little scene. Can you spot the recycled part of my Block-Block entry? The fence was inspired by those gates in the LSW video games that keep you from entering secret sections! Anyway, I hope that we will now be seeing more comics as this is supposed to be a comic game. Also, I am looking forward to a cool battle scene with drug dealers and clones! If somebody wants to use me in their scene and doesn't have this Batman gun, you can use a drill instead. Comic Game ON!

Lego Flesh Shirtless Male Torso
Oky replied to MrCustomizer's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Actually, a shirtless fleshie male torso does exist! Well, OK, maybe it's not exactly fleshie, more like pink, and he's got those moles over his chest, but it's the best thing I could come up with! The only thing you would have to do is to make a toga decal to put over it! I hope that helped! -
I love the new mustangs too, but, under circumstances, I would prefer something like this:
-
Ywah, I don't get that at all either. I mean, what was the point in releasing the cheapest CW set at the beginning of the year instead of together with the others anyway? What were they thinking? "Hey, let's release the cheapest set waaay ahead of time, before anyone even knows about the movie, and release all the expensive ones when the movie comes out, so that prople only have those left to buy"? Not nice, TLG!

Hm... interesting that people find it more horrifying to having to listen to Jar Jar sing than the fact that Bad Kids have to saw their own hands off to free themselves... but who can blame them! The thing with the saw is a SAW refference, you know. BTW, I just noticed a horrible detail about my entry that wasn't even intended: Jar Jar isn't wearing any pants!!! And you thought it couldn't get any worse!

Yeah, Obi Wan's hair will probably be pretty smooth in the end, like it was at Toy Fair:

Hey, Palin Jax, would it be OK if I would use a TIE Fighter Pilot instead of a Shadow Trooper? I think the two look quite alike and I am too cheap to get a Stormtrooper BP. He would still have a Jango head!
