I just realized that Republic Attack Cruiser and Republic Star Destroyer aren't the same thing. The Attack Cruiser, as THE-FORCE pointed out, is the Brickmaster exclusive mini Venator, so what is the SD? When you look it up on Wookieepedia, you get this: Looks weird. I guess we will know more about it once the CW show starts. It might be a mini as well.
-
Yes, we know that, thank you. And you get way better results if you just look for "solar sailor" on wookieepedia. And, Tarfful, I still think that the droid BP is the one with Magnas that was rumored at the beginning of this thread. What would be the point of a BP with a bunch of IG-86s?
-
Yeah, I think so too. It has always been like that and it always will be. And that Robin in the picture below fits the description of "ugly action figure that shoots things" pretty well. The Batman in the picture too: He is probably the one called "Batman and Batarang", and that long arm of his probably has a spring on it, so that you can put a batarang in its hand, pull it back and let it go to make it throw the batarang. Besides, even if McDs has had real bricks and Bionicles in the past, they never had any minifigs! I think it's because they have too small parts. So I really wouldn't get my hopes up, folks. Oh well. If these action figures or whatever you can call them look decent, I might actually get a Batman and/or a Mr. Freeze and/or a Joker. I bet these will look kinda cool on a display next to the Pilot Luke Maquette. I just hope these come on a stand with studs like the maquette.

A lot of those sure sound interesting, but I have some doubts about the credibility of this list. I wonder what Ahsoka's Starfighter will look like! Will it be some version of the Delta-7 or the Eta-2 or something more exotic? However, I bet it's going to be either green or orange, suiting her own color scheme, which will make for some sweet parts! It's interesting that they call the droid BP "Assassin Droid BP", but it makes sense considering that it will mostly consist of Magnas and Droidekas. Can't wait for this one! The mystery set is probably that TRU exclusive that will either be Palpatines Arrest or Home One. But what is the "2009 FLL Set"? I am also very curious about Dooku's Solar Sailor! I wonder how TLG will make the minifig. It will probably be with a cartoony face, but I wonder how they will make his pointy beard. I'm hoping for a new piece that you can put on the fig's neck, like Dumbledore's beard. Or maybe something like this? You are probably right but aren't those sets for 2008? And why aren't the mini snowspeeder, mini torrent, and mini TIE not listed?

You think it's not a great thing that we get a Yoda fig in an affordable set like this?!? That was the main reason why I got this set! And what do you mean by "another"? Wasn't this the only one that was ever released except for the one in the Dagobah/X-Wing set? Sure, he is not the best fig with the unmovable legs and all, but still: It's Yoda! Besides, he doesn't move his legs a lot in "real" life either. Nice review, though, and thanks for telling me what that liftarm-thingy was meant to be for. I never got that and thought it was supposed to lift up the speeder for some reason. I got two of this set, and the printing on those blue parts were off in the second one I got.

How about this, guys?

I think it's probably more a problem of the helmet being too big (like the official ones are) or something. Oh well, I guess I'll pay for his visor. It looks better than the official one anyway.
-
Or onto bricks! And it shouldn't be a hat, it should be a brick-bucket! Anyway, I made myself a PayPal account and payed my five bucks. I hope you invest it well, Hinckley. Don't blow it all at once! Just kidding. May the force be with all ticket owners!

Thanks, KimT, I already did that, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask the members here in case they have experience with that. He just responded and he says they don't fit.

Oh thanks for that link, badger! It will probably help those US citizens who have trouble viewing my vid. I shall add it to the first post! And that Lego Babel skit is good too, but not as good as the pyramid one.

Sneak Peek at the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series?
Oky replied to Oky's topic in Culture & Multimedia
As I said, they always do that to build up anticipation. And don't get excited, Ben 10: Alien Force is not a very good show, way not as good as the first one at least. It's kinda boring and doesn't make much sense. I for one think that the original Ben 10 show was a very good one, and that CN has produced some other pretty good shows. My favorites are the ones created by Genndy Tartakovsky: Samurai Jack, The Powerpuff Girls, and of course the old Clone Wars cartoon! I'm not a big fan of Dexter, Johnny & Co., though, and I don't like any of that anime junk stuff either. But, please, let's not get off-topic! CW preview ON! -
Hi, everyone, Thanks to the 21 of you who were so nice to vote for my entries in the CW Building Contest, I will soon have 30 bucks to spend on Arealight's custom parts. So, I started picking out all the wigs, heads, and helmets that I want, and I have come across an interesting piece: a Phase 2 Clone Trooper helmet with holes in the sides! Arealight is separately selling a custom visor to go with it, but since I don't want to pay 2 dollars for them, I was wondering if one could use the official helmet gear from the new Clone Wars clones instead. So, is there anyone here who has this Arealight helmet and could try that out for me? That would be very kind of you. This is the helmet I'm talking about:

Hm. That sucks. I guess the viewability of the vid is more limited than I thought. Oh well. I updated the first post to feature the list of countries where it is blocked.
-
Are there any tickets left? I hope I'm not too late! Oh, and welcome to EB, Bad Dad.

Hi, everyone! I know this is old, but I still wanted to know what you guys think about it. It's a sketch from the stop-motion show "Robot Chicken" in which a selfish pharaoh is making his people build a pyramid for him - with Lego! But the slaves have other plans... I recorded and uploaded the sketch for you guys on my YouTube account. Unfortunately, only few are able to view it due to copyright issues. You can find it here. If you can't view it, you can try visiting the Adult Swim website. Just do a search using "LEGO" and it'll pop up (along with a sketch called "Lego Babel"). Thanks to our member badger for the link. The YouTube video is blocked for these Locations: Algeria, American Samoa, Angola, Anguilla, Antarctica, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Aruba, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Benin, Bermuda, Bhutan, Bolivia, Botswana, Bouvet Island, Brazil, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Cape Verde, Cayman Islands, Central African Republic, Chad, Chile, China, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Colombia, Comoros, Congo, Congo - Democratic Republic of, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Cote d'Ivoire, Cuba, Djibouti, Dominica, Dominican Republic, East Timor, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Equitorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas), Fiji, French Guyana, French Polynesia, French Southern and Antarctic Lands, Gabon, Gambia, Gaza Strip, Greenland, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guam, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Heard Island and McDonald Islands, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macau, Madagascar, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Martinique, Mauritania, Mayotte, Mexico, Micronesia - Federated States of, Mongolia, Montserrat, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Netherlands Antilles, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Niue, Norfolk Island, North Korea, Northern Mariana Islands, Pakistan, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Pitcairn Islands, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, San Marino, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, South Korea, Sri Lanka, St. Helena, St. Pierre and Miquelon, Sudan, Suriname, Svalbard, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tokelau, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, United States Virgin Islands, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Vietnam, Wallis and Futuna

Sneak Peek at the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series?
Oky replied to Oky's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, duh! Pretty much. They always make those teaser commercials for such "big events". They have been advertising "Alien X" for a while now actually! -
Sneak Peek at the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series?
Oky replied to Oky's topic in Culture & Multimedia
LOL. Yup, that's the one. It's quite subtle, but you can hear it right after the voice-over person says "Plus". As I said, this preview will be shown on Sunday, August 31st, sometime during the prime time on Cartoon Network. I will try to record it. I think you misunderstood something. The clues to the CW sneak peek are during the Alien X commercial, not the one for the AT-TE. It's what they call "the biggest thing to ever come to television", which is a very matching description of the CW show IMO. -
Hi, everyone! When I was watching cartoons this Saturday morning, I saw a commercial for the premiere of the Ben 10: Alein Force movie "Alien X" on cartoon network (which btw sounds too much like the Venom saga of the old Spiderman cartoon IMO ). At the end of that commercial, they mention that there will be a first look at "the biggest thing to ever come to television" during that episode, and there are two signs that they are talking about the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series that will start on October 3rd: 1. While they say that, one can clearly hear the engines of a Republic Gunship and some blaster shots. 2. Immediately after that ad, they show a commercial for Hasbro's Clone Wars toy line. A coincidence? I don't think so. So, if I'm right, we can look forward to a sneak peek at the new Clone Wars show on August 31st! I recorded and uploaded this commercial for you guys on my YouTube account. You should be able to see it here. Any thoughts? UPDATE: The Ben 10 Alien Force episode has now aired and it turns out I was right! It was an awesome, over 2-minutes long trailer for the CW series! You can watch it here.

Lego Clone Wars Videogame Ideas & thoughts
Oky replied to JimboJones's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Interesting topic and nice ideas! There's actually not much one could add... except for "Battle of Teth" maybe? I don't know how this could work, though. Maybe it could be a flight level with Anakin on a STAP and the camera facing up the wall, so that it looks like it's all actually horizontal, like in the movie? Or perhaps it could be a platform-type level where you have to climb up wires and jump around on AT-TEs and rocks that stick out of the wall with either Anakin or Ahsoka in order to reach the top, while fighting dwarf spider droids and trying to avoid blasts from above! That would actually be pretty cool! As for the possibility for such a game actually happening: I don't believe it will, but if it would, it would make more sense for it to be based on the whole show rather than only the movie. -
Well, if searching for keywords that describe the piece (like "white", "slope", or "6x8") doesn't work, just look up the set that you know it from (7676 Republic Attack Gunship) and look into the inventory of that. There, you can look for pieces that sound like the one you're looking for and look at their pictures to find out which one it is. I already did that for you (and anyone interested in purchasing these white slopes). It's called a white slope 10 6 x 8. You can just copy that name and paste it into the briklink search, or you can click here. Don't ask me what the ten stands for, though.

I would love to win this puppy but I have a question: What if you don't have a PayPal account? Do you have to make one?
-
OK, here is the unsure-routine: I don't know how long this has been like that, and I don't know if that has been mentioned yet, but... The old Clone BP is showing up on S@H in the US again! And it's on sale for USD 4.98 too! But unfortunately, it says that it's sold out. I hope that will change soon... Link-a-dee-doo-dah
-
Yeah, but it also says that Anakin and Ahsoka used one of those in the same episode of SW:TCW too. So, if we should get a Y-Wing with blue markings, it is more likely that TLC will give us those two figs instead of pilots. Here is to hoping that we will get pilots. And maybe one of those blue/yellow mechanics like in the hangar in the new movie? Or pink, like R2's girlfriend in the new movie! Seriously, though, I really hope that after the DS, we will start getting R2s with the new print design! I wonder how TLG would do the "bubble-turret". Perhaps with a trans-clear one of these without the bug-eye pattern: Whatever it will be, I'm sure a lot of WW II airplane mocers will be very happy with that piece! That headpiece is specific to Ahsoka (Shaak has longer horns), but as we said before, she might be in one of the TFU Tie Fighter sets if those are true.
-
Yeah, I can very well imagine the BTL-B Y-wing to become a set in the future. I wouldn't buy it though, unless those yellow markings turn out to be gold, resulting in the set featuring some neat golden bricks and pieces, but I highly doubt that.

Couple of things: First of all: It's Magna Guards! Second: You're kind of right: two of them might be a little too much since I (like many others) will get multiples of this BP, and I don't think that we will need more than two guards. Besides, in Battlefront II, they had the same rank as a commander, and why would we need a whole bunch of commanders? On the other hand, this will be the only affordable set these come in, while you can get normal droids from any other seperatist set. Therefore, it would probably be a good thing that there are more than one in there. This would still serve the purpose of army building - only that it is an army of Magnas. There are enough normal BDs in there, considering that you get some in pretty much every other set, especially the MTT. I don't like the new droideka design too much, so I would rather have a second one of those sweet Magna Guards than another destroyer. Besides, in Battlefront, Droidekas are more rare than Magna Guards too. A BP with two Magna Guards is still better than one with none. So, I wouldn't complain. LOL. That's Obi Wan's head from the Episode III sets. I didn't know he was a Nazi! Currently, you can only get it in 7661 Jedi Starfighter™ with Hyperdrive Booster Ring.
