  1. Well... idk. I was going to wait for Jim to post something again before making crucial decisions because I think he wanted to meet us at the base, but seeing as he isn't around at the moment, I don't want to hold up the story. "Actually," said Oky Wan, "I would like to stay here and see if I can help repair or improve some of the defenses. This way one of us would be here in case Jim shows up. So, could someone else accompany Loken on the AT-AT?" In that moment, they could hear someone outside falling into the snow, landing hard. They stepped outside the base to investigate. Well, as you said: everyone's gotta look like a n00b sometimes.
  2. Yeah, that shuttle does look kinda downsized in comparison with that reference pic, especially the cockpit! Doesn't Ahsoka easily walk out of the front of it in the movie? Then it's definitely too small! Oh well, at least it's cheaper this way. Cool! I do hope that those will be available for purchase at some point too, though.
  3. Hey, that's pretty good! If it was a set (especially one with a new Grievous), I would totally consider getting it! Sure, it's small, but it's a great moc! Lol. It's actually that semi-minifig scale that the first MTT was made in. Good job! Tan bricks ON!
  4. Seeing as there is only the City Advent Calendar in the new Catalog, I guess this must be true. Well, that sucks. I was looking forward to all those Castle minifigs. But my dad makes business trips to europe all the time, so I bet he can bring me one if he goes there around the end of the year.
  5. OMG! The Wii version looks like so much fun! I can't wait to actually force-push Rebel scum around with my hand and slam them into the ground! Also, that duel mode is just what me and my friend need! The character selection is awesome! I hope they have Grievous! Shut up, Darth Jokar, no one believes you!
  6. Well, usually this game's "storyboard" is based on reactions on other players' posts, but fine. BTW, the hailfire and spider droids were just supposed to be a sample of the one big battle that Jim provided, not a small, separate battle. With there being a wide, droid and mutant free path in front of them, the crew stormed toward the outpost. Their armor protected them against the fire that the mutants didn't dare to penetrate. The droids, however, were not bothered by the fire either, so they started closing in again. The pathway got narrower by the second, but the team able to make it through in time. While a few clones from behind friendly lines shot at the droids that were chasing them, our group of heroes ran toward the entrance of the outpost as fast as they could. They finally reached it and got inside. There, they were immediately greeted by a desperate looking clone in shock trooper armor. "Rex!" he shouted in relief. "Thank the Force! You made it! And you got other help too! We are saved!" There was no doubt that this was the infamous coward Easy 501. But where was Jim?
  7. Then how the heck did we end up so far from the battle? We were right between the battlefront and the outpost when we landed in the snow (and therefore pretty close), and since Jim and the others had a head start, they should have been somewhere around there by that time as well. When I wrote the part with the bacta tanks, I assumed that the clone who found us dragged us inside the outpost, where Jim and the others would soon show up as well, and that we would meet wouwie13 right after we get out of the tanks, but... oh well. At least you managed to surprise me. I knew it. But as I said, I have an idea what it is, but I may be completely off. And good, useful post, Jim! Just one question: how the heck are we supposed to have the element of surprise with a giant, stomping AT-AT above us? Man, this game doesn't make any sense any more. Oh well.
  8. It was a hard decision - I didn't know what I wanted more: a list of sets that can easily be viewed at one glance or a long row of pictures that help you find the droids set you are looking for without having to read the description. Since I am a lazy person and don't like reading, I went for the latter.
  9. Hm... interesting. I still don't understand what those weird mushroom mutants have to do with the cosmic event and the time machine project, but something tells me I'm not supposed to yet. I do have a hunch, though. I don't think the CIS made them just because they wanted an addition to the droid army... Even though humans and mushrooms is an odd combination for making mutants/hybrids, I like the idea of the CIS making mutation experiments. It reminds me of the Battle of Nelvaan. I am also confused about something else: Since when are there more than one battles on Hoth and which one is already won? Which one are we heading into? And most importantly, where is wouwie13 aka. Easy 501? Is he with us now? And why is everyone (or is it only Adam?) calling his battalion Easy 101? Just some things I'd like to be clear about before I post.
  10. Geeez! Sometimes it seems to me as if the only thing you OT fans do is complain! It might not be fair that there are more CW sets than OT ones, but CW happens to be what is "in" at the moment, so you'll have to be patient. Besides, you should be grateful for those two great BPs and that fantastic DS playset that you get this year! If there was a year with only a few PT sets, for example, like some BPs and, say, a Geonosis Arena Battle playset with a whole bunch of minifigs like in the DS (Anakin, Obi Wan, battle-damaged Padme, Count Dooku, Poggle the Lesser, Jango & Boba Fett, Mace Windu, R2-D2, silver C-3PO, SBDs, sand-red BDs, and a bunch of other Jedi and Geonosians, plus the three beasts, whether brick-built or not), I as a PT fan would be very pleased!
  11. Good! Take your time! (Not too much, though. ) Er, yeah, that's what I meant. Thanks. Post Edited. And - YAY! - the "Game" is back! I assume that is KimT's work? Thanks! Btw, it would be nice to see a (useful) post from you again, Jim.
  12. How about a "Kill the crappy Happy Meal Batman toys" contest?
  13. Oky Wan and Adam were moving toward the exit of the cave. "Quite a mess out there" said Oky Wan, looking at the battle raging outside. "We'll have to be careful and..." "Arrgh!" Oky Wan turned around and saw that Adam had collapsed, holding his arm. Blood was starting to rinse out from under his cloths at various points. Apparently, his life support system got destroyed during their crash with the ceiling, and his wounds were now starting to reopen. "Dammit!" said Oky Wan, "We have to get you to a medic immediately!" Oky Wan thought feverishly how they could get to the outpost that fast. "Maybe," he thought, "maybe if I turn up my jetpack to maximum..." It was the only chance they had. Carefully, he lifted Adam up and carried him outside in his arms. There, he tinkered with the controls of his jetpack a bit and activated it. Fortunately, the jetpack was able to carry them both, and so Oky Wan flew them over the battle and toward the Republic outpost. They had past the battlefront and were almost there, when suddenly a Republic turret below them got hit by an enemy missile and exploded. One of the debris that were flung through the air hit Oky Wan on the head, and he started to loose conscious. They plummeted toward the ground and landed in a pile of snow. The last thing Oky Wan was able to realize was a clone running up to them, screaming "Medic, Medic!" all the way. The voices faded, and Oky Wan passed out... The next thing he knew was that he woke up in a Bacta tank. Adam and Garviel Loken were floating in other tanks next to him. A medical droid, Jim, MacK, and Thok were looking at him from the outside. Well, there you go. Now we are all reunited and healed and ready for action! We are also ready for some explanations from Adam - I was getting the feeling that everytime he posted, we were about to find out something interesting, but then the object of interest disappeared or got blown up. So, you better give us some answers in your next post, Adam! @ JimButcher: Yes, it would be good if you would change that rule about posting speech for other players. And while you are at it, you could try to solve the mystery of the lost "Game" word in the title of this thread. It would also be good if you would not make dark pictures that dark; in the two that you posted, one can barely see anything.
  14. Someone's already selling them over ebay! Linky
  15. Well, it depends on the radius. If you want to make something small, there are the 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4 quarter circle pieces. If you want to make something larger, there are a couple of techniques. One that I know is this. Hope that helped. Oh, and nice find. Porkins is great, and the astromech is a nice addition!
  16. I like big, futuristic cities with flying cars, so I love Coruscant. Also, that's where Commander Fox is stationed and where Mace Windu hangs out most of the time. Raxus Prime is pretty cool too, though.
  17. Jak & Daxter! The sequels, that is. One set for every location and/or vehicle that Jak & Daxter have visited/used, with Jak being a minifig with a new Yoda-style head and Daxter being a new Momo-style mold. Or maybe its twin, "Ratchet & Clank". Lots of planets, lots of opportunities. Their spaceship could be a separate $20 set. The weapons and gadgets could be either new molds or brick-built. Ratchet could be like Jak and Clank could be brick-built and feature a minifig head. Or how about Crash Bandicoot? That would be a whacky, fun theme!
  18. Although my favorite kind of music is (Euro)Dance/Trance a la Cascada, Groove Coverage, and Sylver, I do like this type too. Evanescence and Linkin Park both have like three songs that I like a lot (the most popular ones), their other stuff is alright. I haven't heard of Distubed before, though I might have heard one or two of their songs without knowing who sung it. I might have to look into them.
  19. Because they aren't! As many have said before: These toys aren't based on Lego - they are based on a videogame with a Lego look to it! And for that, they are well done I guess. Still, looking at those demos Simonjedi posted, I'm not so sure anymore if I want to get any of these. They looked like they would at least be cool to display, but now... meh. Idk.
  20. Cartoon Network is now showing small adds during their weekend morning program which include clips from this trailer and new clips as well. So be on the lookout!
  21. Yes, that's almost exactly what was there this week in my store! I forgot to mention the slave leia (How could I? I got like six of those now!). But they didn't have any brains! ME... WANT... BRAINS! :skull: Maybe I'll go back and check if I missed them. Anyway, I usually don't pay the three bucks per minifig either because I only want the torso and head most of the time. So, I just put those in a PAB cup together with some bricks. Unfortunately, my Store never had any of the new Castle figs. I'd love to have some dwarf legs!
  22. Still wearing his pilot helmet with the tinted visor, Adam had not seen the hole in the ground of the passageway that he was heading into. He fell into it and slid down to the bottom. It wasn't very deep, but deep enough to make it impossible for Adam to climb out. "Hold on," said Oky Wan, "I'll help you out!" He lied down on his stomach and stretched out his arm to grab Adam's hand. He was able to get a hold on Adam, but as he was pulling him up, the ice under his chest broke, and so he slid down the hole as well and landed right next to Adam. "Great!" said Jim. "Now we have to pull you both out." "No" objected Oky Wan "Don't, or you'll get stuck down here too! Just go on without us. We'll be alright. When you get to the outpost, you can send help." Jim didn't like the idea of leaving the two members of his team down there, but he saw reason in what Oky Wan said. "Alright," he finally said. "But hurry", shouted Adam, "I don't think my life support system will be able to keep my wounds patched much longer!" "Don't worry" said Jim, and he and the other exited the cave, leaving their friends in cold darkness... It was moments later that Oky Wan realized that he had a jetpack. Duh! Btw, why did the word "Game" disapear from the topic title? Did a mod do it? Also, who else thinks that this thread should be included in the "Important Topics" section of this forum?
  23. Some people just can't be pleased... I actually think the TIE looks great. It's quite accurate and I wouldn't know how to make a better one. Then again, I'm not a master MOCer. And, yes, the AAT will unfortunately be pretty expensive But at least it will be a good army builder! Yes, that has already been mentioned, thanks.
  24. Hi everyone! I don't know if something like this has been discussed before, but I don't think so. So, here we go: Do you know those little parts bins in some Lego Stores that are filled with minifig parts and props so that you can make your own minifig and buy it for like $3? I was wondering what you gys think about those. I for one really like 'em. They're kinda like Pick-A-Brick, only for minifigs. Also, sometimes you can find real gems amongst those parts! Last time I went to my local Lego Store, I very surprised to find an Episode VI Luke Skywalker (with yellow skin and black robes), Draco Malfoy (with yellow skin and green Slytherin Quidditch uniform), Prof. Snape (with glow-in-the-dark head), the statue from 4751, and fleshy Spiderman characters like Peter Parker, Mary Jane, Aunt May, Harry Osborn, Jonah Jameson, a police officer, and even the black ambulance driver! All were without legs and hair, except for Mary Jane for some reason, but still. So, what are your thoughts on this, and what treasures have you found there?
  25. If I may cut into this hateful debate, I'd like to go back on topic to share my feelings about the Power Miners. I am liking a lot what I'm seeing in these prelim pics! It seems like a dream come true for me: a whole line full of cool vehicles that are all made mostly out of light green bricks! My favorite color is lime green, so I'm really hoping that that's the color those vehicles have! I was actually planning to get only one or two of the smaller set, but I if these are lime green, I might not be able to resist! However, I look forward to this theme and am sure to get at least some of those sets. I can understand that some might not like this theme, though - heavy, futuristic vehicles and lime-green are not everyone's thing.
