Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
If that's supposed to be a question (doesn't have a question mark), yes that's him. -
Oh well, count me out then. I still need about 2 hours. Good job to everybody who got their entries in. I'll try to be quicker next time...

Well this sucks. I observed today that images started to disappear one by one and now most of them aren't showing up anymore and it's impossible to connect to BS. Has this ever happened before like this? What's strange is that the pics in my sig still work... But maybe they will disappear soon too... Due to the connection error, I'm guessing this is a temporary thing that deals with the BS server acting up again.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Wow, thanks for those clips, guys! They're right, the animation and special effects do look a lot better than in season one. Those ground battles look really, really awesome! I am so excited for this season! I have a slightly extended version of the clip DarthSion posted, but I wont bother loading it up since the whole episode will be all over the internet in a few days anyway. -
I know, I know. It's just that I had school for the last two months. I would just need about one more day, but after a one-month extension, I guess that's too much to ask. I guess I "missed the train" on this one. It probably wouldn't be able to compete with all the fantastic entries out there anyway...

Exactly, so keep dreaming. Pieces, yes (Lego platypus! ), but minifigs... not so much. A lot of the characters have very oddly shaped heads (especially Phineas and Doofenschmirts), so they would have to be Toy Story style specific new head molds and wouldn't be very reusable. Btw, if you want a labcoat, you can just print out a decal from the Minifig Customization forum.

Hehe, thanks Svelte. Yeah, because Ogel is behind pretty much anything. There was this hilarious thread once that had various theories on how Ogel is the cause of many themes, including Fantasy era Castle, Agents, and Space Skulls, but I can't be bothered to find it right now.

Hm. I'm torn between Spyrius, M-tron, Exo Force, and SP3. Spyrius and M-tron were some great classic themes with some great designs. SP3 on the other hand is pretty neat is as well, especially the minifigs, and it seems it will get even better in the next wave. Some of the vehicle designs are great, but some others are a bit flawed, plus there's the lack of buildings. Exo Force was pretty cool in its own way. I'll have to decide when I see more pics from SP3 2010. Btw, what do you mean by "official or not"? And how do you see which number topic this is?

Mine is Rench! I already liked Kranxx, but him in my favorite color and with Blacktron 3 torso is just pure awesome! But yeah, computerbug already made a topic like this.

Me too, like pretty much any Pixar set. But it's not likely to happen since, unlike Toy Story and Cars, there wont be any sequel to Wall-E anytime soon, so for now it's a thing of the past and low in demand. Well, there would be brick-built Wall-E and EVE of course, and then there are the captain and passengers of the AXIOM. They might need to make new molds for their round bodies though. Uhm, yeah, that's one of at least 80 possibilities. My point is that every episode features a different setting/vehicle, so there are no iconic ones to be made into sets. Don't get me wrong, a P&F line of sets would definitely be interesting and good for parts etc. but I just don't think it's a very good/realistic idea. Sounds good. Of course it wouldn't have all the balloons, but it would still be a nice set. Well, that would definitely be neat. At least better than just minifig packs as tin7 suggested. But I'd rather have sets in "the usual manner", meaning in different price classes and with complete scenery, instead of just a bunch of vignettes. Well, considering that I have never even heard of that MMOG, I don't think it's a good idea. Sorry. Loving your avatar btw.

At what exact time does the contest close? I probably wont get done in time, but it can't hurt to ask.
-
Well, it's a funny image anyway. Nice job. If you would have posted this in the Minifig Customization forum and not have titled it with a lie, I'm sure it would have gotten better response. Now, how about a Jar-Jar Bond car?

That one seemed kind of strange to me actually. Togruta always have redish skin.
-
Thanks, that's the part I spent the most time on. I really wanted it to look nice and detailed because that's what I like my Lego sets to be like. Photoshop. I'm a purist. Yeah, pretty much. I would have done it much earlier, but I had school until last Friday. Thanks. To you too, Forresto & CCA!

Excellent! I was wondering if anyone else had the idea to use the wolfman head from the Monsters 4 game as a Shistaven. The figs are great, and the vehicles don't look bad either. I'd buy pretty much any BP with a Mon Cal head, so yeah, I'm sold. No, it's the old Hikaru and Ha-Ya-To torso.

Hehe, thanks. Well, the seats are so exposed because I reached the piece limit and decided it could be an open transport, like the AT-OT. The seats are facing outward in order for the troops to be able to just stand up and jump into battle.

This is my last-minute entry. It's my dream battle pack because it includes some of my favorite troopers from the videogame "SW: Battlefront II": A Galactic marine, 501st troopers, and a pilot. Why these? A galactic marine because they look really cool and have a gattling gun; 501st troopers because they look good too and are an elite version of the normal clone trooper, and a pilot because there always seems to be a shortage of pilots in lego sets, and putting one in a BP would really help. I hope you like it. Pride of the Republic Battle Pack Pieces: 70 Minifigs: 4 MSRP: 10.99 USD S@H description: Join the Pride of the Republic! Recreate your favorite battles from Star Wars Battlefront II and the Star Wars movies with this battle pack! This set includes the best the Republic has to offer: A galactic marine, a pilot, and clone troopers of the 501st Legion! In their armed hover transport vehicle, these elite troops can quickly move from battle to battle! The marine carries a powerful gattling gun, and 501st troopers come with jet packs so that they can attack from the air! With this such good equipment, the droid forces don't stand a chance! Includes 1 Galactic Marine, 1 Pilot, and 2 501st (Jet) Troopers. The Troop Transport: Like all official BP vehicles, this one is loosely based on a canon vehicle: The AAC-1 hovertank. More pics (including hi-res ones) in this BS folder.

I know, but I still wanna watch it on my home theater. In your or my country? Gosh darn it! How does this keep happening to me in this thread?! Here you go: Is there any sign of the second season being aired in "the awesomeness that is Tasmania"? I got a feeling, though, that I got the answer in the last quote already. Lol. It even kinda looks like him, with the big goggles/glasses. Why not? You've made some great custom figs so far, and there even is an official dark blue Batsy, so what's the hold up? I might build the Batmech or Batwing at some point, but I don't have the time right now. Also, one could probably make a neat Joker themed creation out of the parts of the upcoming Zurg constraction fig... Yeah, probably. Too bad the show didn't very long. I have also been watching reruns of Teen Titans. Damn that was a good show! I watched that last episode btw and couldn't find that clue you were talking about which tells you how Terra escaped. Help please? I think I'll watch B&S: Public Enemies this week. It looks pretty good. To the Okymobile!
-
Yeah, I guess that story makes sense, especially considering what the humans did on mars. Btw, who else thinks that the return of Blacktron is the big underground conspiracy the space police is investigating in the animated Logs?
-
Dammit! I wish they start airing these here again too. I rather watch these in good quality in my home theater instead of in the mediocre internet quality on my computer. Right now I can't see it returning. Next friday night on CN will be dedicated to CW, but maybe after that, the friday scheduling will return to normal and they will start airing new CW episodes together with BTBTB. I hope so. So, is there any sign of the Dr. Horrible, eh? That's awesome! Anyone working on any BTBTB MOCs yet? Or any Batman MOCs for that matter? Btw, I started watching LOSH on Youtube. It's quite an enjoyable show, but nothing too special. Oh and... this is a bit off-topic, but does anyone know a good place to watch The Secret Saturdays? I have missed the last episodes and there are no reruns.

You know, you can always print this scan out on a clear over-head projector foil or something and put the wings on your Geos.
-
Ah, thanks. I took another look at the prelim box designs and saw that you're right. There is one in the Giant Zurg set too. About the release dates: I also took another look at the original official announcement of the Disney license, and indeed, it confirmed that the the TS 1&2 sets will be released in January, and the TS3 sets in June.

Pirates is a cool theme and probably better than, say, Ben 10, so sure, I'll sign.
-
This should be discussed in the SP3 2010 thread, but yes, I think it's pretty obvious they're back, although they seem to consist of aliens now, not humans. And considering the rumors of a purple bad guy ship for the next wave, it sounds like their color scheme will be quite different too. But we'll see. So yeah, please somebody marge this into that topic. And while you're at it, please do this as well.

So, it's one of these guys?
