  1. Which rules? You joined in January last year, so I'm sure you wont have a problem.
  2. Indeed! Great work, guys! Very good entries, everyone! I love each and every one of 'em! Just a word of criticism: @ Torham: Ha! Nice! Even though it doesn't really make sense. I mean, did DiCaprio's character get petrified before the Titanic sunk or something? If so, where is Winslet? Also, I don't think black is a good color for the ship. I know it's dark in the depths of the ocean, but still, the top rim of the ship was white, so maybe it could a tone of grey? Just a thought. @ Legononymous: So... You basically made a display for a different fig than the fig you intend to display? I appreciate your attempt to think outside the box, but I think that might have backfired here. @ Masked Builder: Sorry, but your entry just seems like a direct copy of Xiaan's entry, except with less details. I know you didn't mean to steal his idea, but that's just how it seems. Perhaps you could come up with something different? There's still time, and I know you can do better. @ Crabboy: Those people seem to be very happy getting attacked by robots and zombies. Maybe they're smiling because they're insured against robot/zombie attacks? My entry is almost done as well. I'm just adding the finishing touches and will post it soon. In that regard, I had one question: We can't use ANY stickers that were not done by TLC or ourselves, right? Keep the vigs coming!
  3. Yeah, this contest is just his cup of tea!
  4. Who's moaning? I'm just saying that after all the contest ideas I have proposed, this contest has a surprising lack of "new twist". Not that that's a bad thing though.
  5. Hm, not the most original contest, but at least it's very open to what you can do. I don't think I'll have the time to enter this one, but the possibility of making a Fate of Ahsoka vignette does sound tempting. Maybe I'll throw a lil' somethin' together.
  6. Power Generator Attack Before General Veers destroyed the Rebels' main power generator, he sent a recon force to scout ahead and take out the rebels guarding the generator. All pics are links to their hi-res versions: Man down! The brave rebels are standing their ground by the power generator, but one after the other gets hit. While his comrades cover him, a pilot undertakes some repairs on the generator. An imperial officer tries to attack the rebel pilot repairing the generator, but instead, he slips on frozen puddle. A closer view at the inside of the trench: Some more straight-on views: Brickshelf Gallery Happy Anniversary, ESB!
  7. I actually kinda like these, but that's probably just their resemblance with the smurf figurines from my childhood. I actually wouldn't mind a Lego Smurfs theme, but these Megabloks ones aren't very good in terms of building sets. But then again, they're the equivalent to Duplo. And now I got their theme song stuck in my head. La La Lalalala, La Lalalala ... Great.
  8. FAIL! Grievous isn't supposed to meet Anakin until Episode III! Still a cool poster though. Thanks for the review. Having missed out on the first CTT, I'm very much looking forward to this one, especially with those excellent figs and accurate AT-RT! I for one think it's pretty neat that you can stow all the extra bits inside the Juggernaut like that. It's much better than the first CTT which had no interior whatsoever. Of course, the yellow is a bit ugly, but that's moddable. And as long as the axles only look fragile, I'm OK with that too, even though the ones on the old CTT looked better. Either way, I can't wait to buy my own copy of this set, much to the dismay of my wallet.
  9. Then why post in a thread about collecting?
  10. Interesting poll! But I think you should remove the last option in the first question and just make it multiple choice too. I build most of the sets I buy, rarely mod them, and sometimes I make MOCs, usually for contests. I build vehicles and vignettes, and sometimes dioramas, but never UCS or Micro scale. Most of my non-SW mocs are in Licensed, although I have made ventures into all the other themes as well.
  11. I own both figs, and I vote for Ogel the Red Sorcerer. His skull theme and red/black color scheme may be cliche, but that's still more evil looking than dark green dragons. He has an undead army at his disposal, so it cannot be defeated, plus that lightning staff and magic cyborg eye are just so darn cool! Than again, he got defeated by a nerdy prince and a hotshot adventurer from the future. Oh well, he still rocks!
  12. Okay, here is my complete Toy Story minifig collection! From left to right: Normal Woody, Dirty Woody, Normal Jessie, Dirty Jessie, Zurg, Normal Lotso, Dirty Lotso, Bullseye, Rex Normal Buzz, Magnet Set Buzz (darker printing), Dirty Buzz, Army Man, Army Man Medic, Stretch, Normal Hamm, Dirty Hamm, Hamm with hat a.k.a Dr. Porkchops Normal Alien, Magnet Set Alien (bleaker printing), Dirty Alien 1, Dirty Alien 2, Prospector, Twitch, Chunk, Truck Driver I also collect Clone Wars minifigs, but I'm still missing CW R2-D2, R7-A7, and Buzz Droid (if it counts), and of course all the summer wave figs. Once I get the summer ones, I'll post a pic of my collection. Keep on collecting!
  13. Thanks for the new pics! But why deeplink the assassin droid and not Jayfon? Here, I'll do it: What the heck are you talking about? Just look at it! It's NOT different!
  14. Oh god! Now we're all completely screwed! Uhm... What I meant to say is: Congrats!
  15. Hehe, thanks. Yeah, I might have ripped that scene off a bit. Thank you. I love your photos by the way, especially the Vader one! So ominous! I like it so much that I'm even considering making it my desktop wallpaper (only with your permission of course).
  16. Thanks for the pics, Cobra & whung! Indeed they are! Good spotting! These could come in handy. Why do you need a license to make a chess set? Yeah, that Orient Bazaar is a great parts pack! I just wish they would have used the new half arch instead of the old round ones. I also wish they would have released this during PoP month so that we could have used those parts in our contest entries. It would have so easy making a perfume market stall with the parts from this set!
  17. Great entries, and well deserved winners! Both of my home countries were at the top! The German singer was indeed very good and charming, and the Turkish song was very unique, mixing belly dance music with rock. A lot of the other entries were good too; much better than the last couple of years. But yeah, her accent was quite thick, wasn't it?
  18. As soon as I got my collectable Spaceman fig, I simply had to do this: "Your powers are weak, old man!" And here's another shot I did: Creepy-Eyed Stare-Off! Who will win? Palpatine or Zolm?
  19. Oh shucks! I was so close to winning the Alamut set! But I guess legomaniac did put a lot more effort in his entry and deserves it more. Congrats! Congrats to the other winners too! All well deserved indeed! This was a very fun contest and all the entries were superb! Thanks for all the votes everyone, and special thanks to Svelte and Jammiedodger for helping me with the development of my entry, and of course TLC for providing those great prizes! (I'm still curious how the ambassadors managed to arrange this. ) Keep on PoPing everyone!
  20. Sweet! Thanks, that alien will come in useful in my reviews! Btw, is there a place where we can find all of your smileys in one place?
  21. Cool! Thanks for that pic, Superkalle! Looks like the pics on that wall are just posters. But perhaps they are there for reference? Who knows, but I'm not holding my breath.
  22. Wow! That's the best Sea Duck I've seen so far! Indeed! I bet master customizers like The Penguin could modify the Sandy Cheeks head to make some pretty decent Chip & Dale figs! Disney MOCs ON!
  23. Well, you got my attention, but you might want to refrain from bumping your threads in such an obvious manner in the future. This is looking better and better! The golden wings are definitely a nice touch, as is that big furnace. Where do you plan on putting the proppellers, and what kind of stuff is going to be "on deck"? I hope you don't mind if I borrow that smoke stack design for one of my MOCs.
  24. With the first wave of SP3 almost gone, I wonder: Hyperspeed Pursuit or Lunar Limo? I love the vehicles in H.P. and the Skull Twins, but the Brick Daddy along with all the purple and gold parts in the Limo seem very useful too, not to mention it's a cheaper set. What do you think?
  25. Great job, Dreamweb! I too absolutely loved that show (and still do)! The Ranger Plane was awesome, even more so than the Sea Duck! While not perfect, your MOC is pretty spot-on! Some of the proportions seem off, and the suction cups could be done better IMHO, but those are just minor things. Hope to see more MOCs from those classic Disney cartoons!
