  1. OK, so since my last update I aquired an AAT, a MagnaGuard SF, an Assassin Droid BP, and a Snowtrooper BP. That makes two more MagnaGuards, three more HSBDs, two more BDs, three more ADs, and two more ADEs, along with six blasters and three sniper rifles. I switched the sniper rifles on two of the BDs with snipers that I already had with the blasters I got, so I was left with only two BDs with snipers and five spare sniper rifles, which I then gave to my new Assassin droids. Finally, I gave two of the four remaining blasters to the two new BDs. Below you can see my old and new AATs and A.D. Bikes, plus my entire army (excluding heroes, commanders, and pilots) with its respective weapons. Pic is link to hi-res version. I have updated my post in the entry thread as well, and these are the changes I made: MTT: Commander BD, 15 BDs, 6 SBDs AAT 1: Commander BD, 5 BDs AAT 2: HSBD, 5 BDs Transport 1: Pilot BD, 3 Rocket BDs (all with snipers), SBD, BD with sniper HSBD Transport 2: Pilot BD, 4 BD, BD with sniper Transport 3: Pilot BD, 4 BD, BD with sniper Transport 4: Pilot BD, 2 Rocket BDs with snipers, Rocket BD Commander with sniper, SBD, BD with sniper HSBD Com. 2. Well, on brickset they said it was, but you have a point. I guess we should do as the calendar says and just ask our nearest Lego store.
  3. I found this image on the interwebs and I initially thought of Ar Sparfel's SW Karts, so it got me thinking: Why not make a contest where you have to build a race car based on your favorite SW character? Well, most sigfigs are based some sort of theme, but for those who really don't have a theme (or don't want to base their racer around it), we could leave the rules a bit flexible, saying that in that case they can base their pod on any theme they like. Okay, okay, no tri-step voting then! Sheesh! Yeah! Like a contest where you show SW characters on summer vacation on a specific planet! You could have Palpatine tanning on Tatooine, young Anakin in summer camp on Endor, Yoda hitting up bars on Coruscant ("Come here often you do, hmm?"), or Vader and Luke fishing on Naboo! That reminds me of this:
  4. It has never actually happened to me, no, but I do use my teeth a lot during building/dismantling and am always very afraid it might happen to me. Thanks for making me even more paranoid.

    City 2010

Yeah, he does look pretty awkward. Definitely one of the worst Lego snowmen I ever seen. LOL. Yeah, I've been waiting for a printed yellow bare torso for ages too, but since when have we ever gotten a new print in a City AC? Of course he will! It's the same torso as in 3177 after all.
  6. Not sure if you guys have heard, but the official release date for these in the US is June 21, at least in Lego Stores. The nerve of some people. I bet they would sell their own poop if they think it'll make them money.

    City 2010

Hm, this calendar seems like a good way to get some useful City figs, plus a sausage and baguette. It's good to see a City calendar without any construction, police, or fire men for once. I think it's all part of TLG focusing more on civilians this year. I'm liking all the micro-scale "toy" versions of Lego sets, and that showering Santa is just so darn hilariously random! The Kingdoms one has a higher priority for me too, but if I see this on clearance, I'll probably pick one up.
  8. Wow! Thanks for the pics! This is probably the best set out of the whole line! It even comes with a pig! And I too am loving that sword in the stone; so simple, yet so brilliant! Yeah, CopMike said in the Embassy that Lego wants to release both calendars in the US this year due to the demand last year. Can't wait!
  9. I agree that Season 2 was generally a let-down.Things like the Mandalore episodes could have been so much better than they were, and there were too many episodes that could have been left out, such as the "Senate" ones. Here's a little summary of my thoughts: Pros: Better animation More Jedi and bounty hunters More "dark" episodes, such as Brain Invaders Death Watch (even if they didn't accomplish much) Landing at Point Rain - 'nuff said. Cons: "Senate" episodes - yuck! Grievous Intrigue wasn't intriguing at all! Just GG running away again. Pacifist Mandos and incompetent Death Watch They introduce a competent Sep commander (Trench) and kill him off right away. A little too much Ahsoka Zillo Beast - Godzilla/King Kong in Star Wars? meh. Kinda ruined Boba's backstory A lot of open-ended stories Yeah, that was strange. I even remember a preview of Season 2 saying that we'd be "seeing a lot more of him". Oh well, as long as he returns for Season 3, it's all good. Agreed, Embo was pretty darn cool. Yeah, that's what it looks like to me too, although her vision of Sing may only be one of many. As for Ahsoka dying, I admit, the ominous mood of the trailer does kinda imply it, but this could very well just be their way of getting us excited for the next season. I agree that it still feels too early for her to die, and with DarthSion's comment on killing a main character on a kids show. But then again, if this is how they are going to advertise the new season, with Ahsoka foreseeing dark events, then maybe that's how that season is going to end, with the dark visions coming true. I mean, the first season was advertised with Reps VS Seps battles, and that's basically what we got, and the second was advertised with bounty hunters, and that's pretty much what we got as well, so maybe in the third season... It certainly would make for a strong season finale, even if it's a depressing one. Perhaps now would be a good time to revive my CW Episode Wishlist thread.
  10. Well, there aint much of a difference, but the difference that is there certainly tells me I like the final designs better. Having the classic image of Woody 'n' Buzz on the "Toy Story Classic" sets was very fitting, but on these boxes it would have been kinda boring, and the way they feature the two most interesting characters from the set on each box makes for some nice variation. Also, the additional photoshopping that has been done on the box arts really enhance the compositions, especially on the trash compactor which only had a sketch as a background in the prelim. And the daycare is a better, more recognizable setting for the dump truck than a random street scene. As for the sets themselves, the only differences that I can see on these thumbnails are a larger, lighter colored turning wheel on the compactor, black wheels and white windows on the train, and an edgier design on the bed mold of the dump truck, all of which have been improved in the final version in my opinion. So, good job, TLG! Keep it up! (Please!!)
  11. Can we ask for minifig parts as well? If so, I'd like to have the Toy Story figs please. At least Zurg, the alien, and Buzz Lightyear's jetpack!
  12. Ha! Nice. I loved the Monsters Inc. reference!
  13. Hehe, yeah, I can't resist them Slave Leias, so when I saw them at the Build-A-Fig station, I couldn't help but buy all of them! How can something so right be so wrong? Not bad, not bad! I like the technique used on that kiosk, and the use of that microfig is great!
  14. Yeah, that's what I meant. On that note, shouldn't one of the maidens have the Padme head and hair?
  15. Very nice, ACPin! Great use of dark and light tones of brown and tan! Is that Amidala with the upside-down beard? Kinda hard to recognize. Also, I don't remember sand red BDs in that scene. Oh well, still great work!
  16. Ahem. I think it's because this design of mech never appeared in SW, only the "AT-" kind. Especially not in all-black. Mech, dude! MECH! But yeah, it definitely looks inspired by that. I still think you should've just tried to recreate the Avatar one, though, instead of trying to make it fit into SW.
  17. Remember what? The FBTB podracer contest? I'm not a big fan of TIEs, but yeah, that could be a fun contest! We could make all kinds of TIEs! TIE walkers, tie tanks, bow-ties, neck-ties... Uhm, never mind those last two.
  18. In case you didn't know, my sigfig is only a part-time snake charmer. Most of the time, he runs the hottest nightclub in Alamut! Yeah baby, I'm the Pimp of Persia! Explains the purple cape, doesn't it? PLEASE NOTE: I mean no offense to any of our female members. My entry's sole purpose is to entertain (and maybe win me some Lego). So if anything bothers you, just let me know, and I'll make the changes. Can you spot the real Slave Leia among the others in the stampede? My category 1 entry is almost done now too, so expect it posted soon!
  19. Oky Wan's Belly Dance & Hookah Bar (236 pcs) What's the hottest place to hang out at in all of Alamut? Why, it's Oky Wan's Belly Dance & Hookah bar! Conveniently located at the west end of the Alamut bazaar, this is the perfect place to watch beautiful belly dancers while enjoying a relaxing hookah or drink! We're open from sunrise to 6 hourglass-turns after sunset! Music is being performed live by Habib and the Persitunes! And it only costs one gold coin to get in! No expenses were spared in order to provide a pleasant atmosphere! Golden statues and exotic botanic decorate the stage! Sit back and enjoy the show while our hot waitresses serve you drinks! So come on down and have the time of your life! But don't anger the dancers, or else you might find yourself in a belly dancer stampede! More pictures in this brickshelf folder.
  20. Meh, I just felt like saying something random. Besides, Ewoks are still better than freaky amphibic lizard-bunnies. Anyways, here is another one: A "Complete the Alphabet Starfighters" contest where you can chose a letter from the alphabet (except A, B, V, X, or Y) and have to build a starfighter based on its shape, thereby completing the series of "-Wing" starfighters, hopefully.
  21. Again, sadly no. And quite frankly, I'm not even sure if there are any more sets they could make. I mean, they already made every iconic vehicle there is, and locations are always hard to do because of the scale. Plus there are rumors of a POTC theme, which is very likely IMHO, and together with PoP and HP, there isn't much space left for TS. But IF there was another wave, this is what I would like it to look like: Alien battle pack $10 Sid's Toy Mutants Encounter $20-30 Claw Machine $40-50 Dinoco Gas Station $70 The latter would go great with the Pizza Planet truck! And who knows what other possibilities there are from the third movie (only 5 more weeks to go!)! An AFOL can dream...
  22. May be, but there are usually at least a hundred people voting in these things, so that probably wouldn't matter much. Besides, we don't have to do it, I just thought it's a neat idea. As long as we can spawn some more good podracer MOCs, I'm a happy camper Ewok. YUBYUB!
  23. Great stuff again, The Penguin! I love that Music Meister fig! That Elsa hairpiece was practically made for Black Canary. Could we get a pic of Leslie together with Alfred? That evil Jammie twin is good too, although not much is different about it.
  24. I'd say replace the grey grill tiles at the front with the type of guns TLG puts on Delta 7 JSFs. And how about you replace those dark grey cones in the back with some sort of rocket launchers? Not sure where you could put guns on the engines except at the front of the "wings". I agree, but why are you so excited? You aren't even a CABG member. EDIT: Wait, I just realized I'm gone for most of June! Maybe I'll still be able to whip something up before I leave...
  25. Or you could just make brick-built syringes by sticking a wrench and/or screwdriver into a trans-clear 1x1 round brick or cone.
