Bwahaha! Good one JD! That last pic is priceless! You slapped me so hard my glasses fell off! This reminds me of this Family Guy bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6oJ1-k7XZA&feature=related Oh, and as for the height of the CubeDudes, yeah, mine came out a little taller than expected, but then again, both my sigfig and my real-life self are taller than JD's.

Argh! By presenting such an excellent review complete with comparisons, you have not only strengthened my urge to get this super-expensive set, but also raised the standard for a review of this set (something I have been planning to do if I get it) to incredible heights! Thanks a lot. No seriously, thanks for taking the time for making this great review for us. And by the way, I think they used the cone pieces for the Gryffindor tower in the last two sets because the one in the movie actually does have a conical roof, but of course you can't attach any parapets to those, which is probably why they chose to use the old kind again. Excuse me? This set is packed with play features! What's missing for you? Catapults? Trap doors? More secret compartments? Flick-fire missiles?? I think it's very playable as it is, or as a Hogwarts castle can be anyway.

I agree with KDM, your theory doesn't make much sense. -

Finally! I guess it payed off going all on the offensive. The rise of the 'puffs has begun! Jin Chang, would you like to be next? -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

No, but your interpretation of the final dialogue fits pretty nicely. I got more a Harry Potter vibe from it, which is apparently what they were going for. I thought the episode was alright, or at least better than the last one. It was more serious than I expected, and Ahsoka seemed quite competent in it, even though her plan to leave the uncovering of a major government corruption to a bunch of students was indeed as ridiculously risky as Anakin made it sound. I mean, why didn't she and Satine just go and get the evidence themselves instead of putting the kids' safety at risk? Also, as I said before, it didn't surprise me at all that Almec was behind all of this. I agree that we have seen enough of Mandalore for now. It's time to move on, unless Death Watch is about to do something really badass. Next episode does look promising, so here's hoping that this season is finally going to get good. -
Bad grammar, stupid pun-names, an even more stupid quiz, and a bunch of talk about how awesome ninjas are... TLG sure isn't subtle about the fact that this theme is aimed at young kids. I guess that makes them "not ninja".

True, that's another possibility. After all, Build-A-Bob had the same feature. As for Twin X-treme RC, I think it had a limited availability. I personally have never seen it in stores. But this is not the place to discuss this, so you might wanna ask the Racers fans about that.

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club
Oky replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oh! Sorry about that, I checked this thread like ten times since Round 1 waiting for you to post Round 2, but it turns out I always dismissed your last post as Round 1 since that's what it is titled. In future, please label your posts right. DS sent. -
Sweet, finally some info on these sets! They do sound interesting, but since I'm not as much into Cars as I am into TS, I probably wont collect this theme, but I'll surely get a few of them. And as LegoGalactus said, some of these set names confirm what we have heard about the plot of the movie, so they probably aren't fake. Ultimate Build Lightning McQueen does indeed sound like it will be a UCS version of the character, but it could also be a small version with exchangeable exteriors, like 8184, such as Dinoco Lightning McQueen or some other new look from Cars 2. It's much more likely that it's a UCS though.

Are you saying I shouldn't vote? 'Cause I can only go by what I know, and I'm sure many others here will too. No, but he does have his handy multipurpose Switzer wrist gauntlet, which by the way was completely left out of the poll/first post too. Because with a team you can get things done more efficiently and always have a Plan B. ... for Vader, who serves under Sidious. Your point? The temple scenario shows that Bane really has skill. It's not easy breaking into a place that's crawling with jedi, steal something, and get out uncaught. I can see this thread turning into an OT/CW war pretty quickly... I have a bad feeling about this.

Personally, I like Cad Bane better because of his ruthlessness and good strategic mind, but then again, I haven't seen or read much of the adventures of the grown-up Boba outside of the movies and Christmas Special, so I don't really get all the Boba love either. Heck, I have seen many clones who are both more interesting and much cooler than Boba. Bane has been shown to be much more badass than him, holding his own against Jedi, successfully stealing from the Jedi archives, and shooting anyone who doesn't cooperate. He'll do whatever it takes to get the job done, and unlike Boba, he occasionally assembles a team to carry out a job successfully. Plus, you just gotta love that desperado look of his. However, I can't deny that when it comes to deadly accessories, you can't beat a quality armor with armed jetpack, so I had to vote for Boba for the first, second, and fourth questions. Number 3 still got my vote for Bane, though, since dual wielding is simply cooler than having just one gun. By the way, you forgot to mention that Bane has jet-boots, so he has flight capability too. I think this should be included under Question 2.

Because of the Rule of Cool, as it has been said before several times.

Very nice episode indeed! Can't wait to get the Bounty Hunger Gunship! By the way, def, the ship is called The Halo. Why would they need to say that? Jedi don't kill out of principle. Therefore, I don't think that duel was that bad, although it was still a bit annoying, mostly due to Hondo's monkey-lizard. Yeah, except his hat looks nothing like a boomerang, more like a Frisbee. But I do agree that the laws of physics may be stretched in science fiction for the sake of coolness, and I think they pulled it off very nicely here. Go Embo!

No, the game looks completely different. These are the models they created to advertise these sets, such as in this commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TL8KRrGOaaQ&feature=related

Yeah, the Borders prices for the HP sets are ridiculous! Anyway, Build-A-Zurg is rolled back to $15 at Walmart, and as someone already mentioned, the PoP sets are on sale as well. There are other sets on sale as well, so just check your local store to see what they have. K-Mart stores seem to have some sets on clearance too.

Just to be clear, the poll is for voting for the competitor you are rooting for, not your favorite CubeDude. But if you're someone like prateek, you don't have to vote of course.
-
I know that. What I want to know is if each one of them has a jetpack unlike the prelim box art we've seen where only two of the four seem to have one.
-
Not sure if it was mentioned already, but the HP product page on Lego.com has been updated with elaborate CG 360 views of all the sets (except Hogwarts Express). LINK

Hello? KimT? Anyone? Anybody reading this thread at all? Anyway, I'm not sure what the heck these are, but they seem to be official, and they're hilarious so I'm posting them. Also, I think these should probably added as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4nYEgcP8Gc&feature=related

Mace Windu's JSF is indeed pretty boring looking. I was hoping not having to get this set, but since I collect CW minifigs, I'm probably gonna have to due to the two exclusive droids which are likely not gonna appear in any other sets. Oh well, at least the speeder and STAPs are kinda neat, I suppose. Does that mean they all have jetpacks?
-
I agree, it's nice, but also very lacking at the same time. The clones didn't even seem to notice the bombs being dropped in front of them, and after the explosion, they just kept shooting as if nothing happened. At least they could have stopped firing and pumped their fists in the air or something, giving the clip an appropriate end. Also, if you wanted this to be action packed, it would have helped if you added some close ups of individual clones and droids firing. What software did you use, and where did you get the models?

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club
Oky replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, but if I want to be able to hold my own against Death Eaters and maybe even You Know Who himself, close is not good enough! Perhaps I'll have better luck with the Ravenclaws, the Hufflepuff's usual rival. I challenge either Philius Pylos or Jin Chang to a duel! -

New teaser on SW.com. Kinda creepy, but nothing really new, just Ahsoka having bad dreams. Still, it makes me hopeful for better episodes to come soon. -
Sure! There are no rules in this competition!

Indeed. It's sad though because it's true. My trainer is my 50-year old mom, and I don't have the time lately to go power walking regularly anymore, so I don't lose weight since I'm always out of shape. Oh well, it's gotta go down again eventually. Anyhoo, here is my next entry. It's not really based off of anything, just something I've been wanting to do. Clash of the CubeDudes! Because Oky thought that JD was such a block-head, he decided to make his body reflect his mentality. He got out his Star Command prototype cubification ray, sneaked up behind JD, and fired. Jammie instantly turned into a CubeDude. What Oky didn't realize was that this would make JD bigger than him. Enraged by the disfigurement of his body, giant, blocky Jammiedodger chased after Oky, seeking revenge! Oky had created a monster! Oky figured that the only way to defeat Jammie was to become a CubeDude himself. And so, he aimed the ray gun at himself and pulled the trigger. What followed was a battle of the ages! Cuby Wan KeDudei versus JammieDudeger! Hope you liked it. By the way, I added a poll so that you can vote for your favorite, so get voting!
