  1. Happy Birthday, you two, especially to our crazy root admin! Consider your cameo appearance in my Halloween avatar as a friendly B-Day whacking.
  2. That last batch was pretty nice, The Penguin! All of them are very spot-on. It's been kinda slow here lately, but I can fully understand if you're more into Harry Potter at the moment (and I certainly don't mind it either)! But just in case you want to get back to making Batfigs, I thought I'd throw some ideas out there. One thing that would be interesting to see would be a Bat-Mite fig! And while you're at it, you could make other fifth-dimension characters such as Joker-Mite (from the Brave and the Bold episode "Emperor Joker") or Larry (from the Teen Titans episode "Fractured"). Also, I suppose you could also do the Harley Quinn re-design from Emperor Joker, though I didn't care much for that particular design to be honest. And have you ever done the Terrible Trio? I can't remember. Shouldn't be too hard to make using the Studios Werewolf head and Atlantis shark head. But of course you can also make them from scratch, as you always so brilliantly do.
  3. "Those girls are gonna kill me, Harry!" Nice work again, The Penguin. Coincidentally, I used the same head-and-hair combinations for Harry and Hermione and the same hair piece for Lavender for my next Potter MOC. So don't say I'm stealing your designs. Looking forward to the next part!
  4. You're on, Slipperin! PS: You do know that you can insert emoticons simply by clicking on them, right?
  5. What? Why would Johnny be mummified?
  6. I'm telling you, he's totally taking Felix Felicis or something! Thanks for adjudicating, and well done CallMePie. I'll get you - one day! But for now, I think Okay needs to rest and wait for more duelists to become adepts... Unless any of the practitioners think they can take him?
  7. *Sigh* I'm not saying that wookiee is completely immaturity free. All -pedias are considered bad sources as anyone can edit them. That said, let's get back on topic.
  8. Yes, I'm an adept! I choose Expelliarmus as my extra spell! Well done, pedro. It was a close match, but like CallMePie said, my Stupefy was just too strong for you. Perhaps you should keep to dueling fellow students for now. Care for a rematch, Carlos? Someone needs to put you in your place!
  9. Sorry, didn't mean to offend you. It's just that unlike on wookieepedia, there are a lot of immature people posting fake future releases on brickipedia.
  10. Oh, I see. Well, I'll try get it to look somewhat finished, kinda like you did, but yeah, I'll post it here before I enter. In fact, you can already find a WIP pic of my entry if you dig around in my brickshelf.
  11. Why do you always stick your tongue out when you say that? It makes it kinda hard to take you serious, especially since the source you're stating is brickipedia, one of the most unreliable sources out there. But yeah, amazon states the release to be start of February as well.
  12. I doubt it. Promo sets are usually distributed at one time and place only, and I have never heard of any being tied to a DVD release. I found a white-box edition Build-A-Buzz at my local Target. It's the only re-boxed set I have seen around here aside from 7590. I'll be making a review of that too some day of course! And I just order an army jeep promo from bricklink yesterday, so look out for the premiere review of that set soon as well!
  13. Sure, go for it! It would certainly enhance the look and feel of the MOC, and there's always to find the right lighting. EDIT: But if you're going to do that, I'd leave Elsa gray since she would become nearly invisible in such a dark scene in dark gray. Simply use one of these: Well, as I said, it would be fine if you just leave most of the arms as they are, but sounds like you already ordered those pieces.
  14. Oh yes, the water and rats are practically a must for this scene! Just a layer of transparent plates/tiles will do. Hm... I don't think the antenna will work, mostly because there's no easy way of attaching it anywhere. Can't you just use some Lego rope and have it hang out of the fez? That would be both easy and authentic!
  15. Very nice! The characters are spot-on, and there are some nice details in the scenery! My only complaint is that the arms are one stud too long. I can understand if you don't have the right pieces in to right color to make them like normal CubeDude arms, but I think you should definitely shorten Indy's and Brody's right arm. And yes, I think yous should give Kazim a cone fez! I'm not sure if that takes away from the cubeness of the head (I'm still quite sketchy on the style-rules for CubeDudes myself) but I think it looks much better. As for the tassle, I'd try to attack a lever to the fez somehow. Good luck in the contest! I'll be entering too.
  16. It was! For me. Good game, Fox! Now let's hope I can hold my own against Lelith in the third round as well! Go Hufflepuffs!
  17. That'd be pretty cool actually!
  18. Yup, just sent mine. I personally find that the color codes need some getting used to. Let's see if I will.
  19. Jammie is currently building an army of Spartans and he keeps telling me how he gets getting more and more (there are far too many quotes to post), so I made this: JD's greed for Spartans knew no bounds. He just couldn't get enough, and when all the stores in his area were out of them, he decided to actually go to Sparta to get more. However, the Spartans weren't very fond of being robbed...
  20. Thanks for the help, but since animated entries are apparently frowned upon, I've decided to go with a simple pic instead. A terrible disease has infested Star Command! All space rangers have turned into horrible zombies, and now they're terrorizing the public in their never-ending quest for brains to eat! Not even EB admins are safe from them! Here you see infected ranger Oky Wan Kenobi chasing after Hinckley. Looks like this poor zombie is going to starve. This is clearly the work of Evil Emperor Zurg! Where's Buzz Lightyear when you need him?
  21. Argh! I hate this thread! For a few weeks there's nothing except off-topic discussion going on and then BAM! new pics get posted and before you know it, the thread has progressed over 10 pages, making it nearly impossible to find the source of the excitement! Oh well, back on topic. The proton cannon looks like a neat set even though it's recycling the BARC speeder from the BP. I've been hoping for a new Luminara for a while now, especially after we got Barris, and the fact that she comes with a double-sided head with goggles makes it extra-sweet! I just hope it wont be more than $30. And yes, it's a bummer Vos doesn't seem to be in the shuttle. I guess three new Jedi in one set was too good to be true after all. I'm still quite excited for this wave though!
  22. Well, if you think you're up for the challenge, I could duel you while Fox is gone.
  23. How do you guys make those animated avatars?
  24. Well, obviously these episodes are prequels to all the other Cad Bane episodes since Ziro is still in prison (and says "next time I'll hire someone better"), Todo is "alive", and Bane is looking for specs on the senate building. The continuity in this series is pretty messed up and confusing. The episode was alright. Sure, it was rushed and not as good as it could have been, but I'm used to that from this show by now. It was much better than the last few episodes anyway. Ahsoka is really growing up which is good to see. And yes, next episode is promising, simply 'cause it has Bane and Todo in it.
  25. Episode 18: The Zillo Beast OK, so the Republic wants to win a war on Malastare, home of the dugs, Sebulba's race, in order to get fuel from the natives (will the Iraq references ever end?), so they invent a nuke that only affects droids. Yay! But unfortunately, when they test it, it creates a giant sinkhole which a bunch of clones fall into. After they lose contact with the rescue party, Mace Windu has to go in to save them himself, along with some other clones. They find some of the missing clones, but they also find a Zillo beast, the last survivor of a race of giant, ancient, indestructible monsters. Anakin flies in to distract it and loses his Jedi starfighter in the process. Once everyone is safe, it's time to talk. The dugs want to kill the beast, but Windu protests, saying the beast is innocent, and Palpatine supports him because he wants to study its impenetrable armor. And so they device a plan to which fake the killing of the beast in order to get both the beast and the fuel, which works out more or less as planned. At the end, the beast is transported off to Coruscant. This episode was alright. The beginning battle had the potential for an epic fight, and it was good while it lasted, but fell too short due to the bomb being dropped, although the big explosion that followed did kinda make up for it. The fact that Anakin's prosthetic hand malfunctioned was a nice detail. The rest of the episode was just a big "should we kill it or not?" debate, and the Republic's plan worked out almost too easily. The dugs were pretty stupid characters, even more so than Sebulba, charging into battle with nothing but electro staffs and constantly provoking the Zillo beast. The most interesting part of this episode is probably how it plays into ROTS. While Anakin is OK with killing the beast at first, Windu is against it, which is pretty much the opposite situation to when they were debating the fate of Darth Sidious. Did this incident (and the one that followed on Coruscant) cause Windu to abandon some of his Jedi principles and deem Sidious as "too dangerous to be kept alive" later on? Also, it's quite understandable that Palpatine would want to study the beast since that would allow him to have lightsaber-proof troopers for Order 66. Overall, the episode wasn't bad, it just seemed strange introducing a Godzilla into the Star Wars Universe. 7/10 An interesting new tank appeared in this episode. It's called a stun tank and is basically a smaller, hovering version of the SPHA-Ts that we saw in AOTC. It didn't do much except stun Zillo and cause Hyena Bombers to crash into AT-TEs, but I like its design. RX-200 Falchion-class assault tank There was also this strange device which I like to call Frisbee Launcher of Doom. It's a Dug debris loader combined with a Dug rail gun. It's probably too insignificant to be made into a set, but if it was a set, it would have great playability (pick up ammo, load ammo onto launcher, aim, shoot ammo, repeat). Dug debris loader and rail gun. This episode saw the Clone Wars debut of the ARC-170 Starfighter which luckily has already been released as an excellent set earlier this year. Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighter From Brickset: One of the new characters is Dr. Sionver Boll, the alien scientist who created the electro-proton bomb. Kind of an interesting looking character. Dr. Sionver Boll Then there's Nakha Urus, the leader of the dugs. As I said above, the dugs are annoying characters, and he's no exception, but not as annoying as the craptastic Sebulba fig that we got over a decade ago, so it would be nice to get a new and improved dug fig, even if it has to be this guy. Nakha Urus The Dug warriors rode on these things called Insectomorphs. Interesting creatures, and it's always good to get more alien animals. Perhaps we could get them in a dug warrior battle pack? Insectomorphs And last but not least, there's the star of the episode, the Zillo Beast itself. It's basically just a giant lizard, but it might make for an intersting brick-built monster. Zillo Beast Lego ships appearing: AAT, ARC-170 Starfighter, AT-TE, Anakin's JSF, RGS, Dropship, V-19 Torrent, Hyena Droid Bomber, Vulture droid, Dwarf Spider Droid, Snail Tank. Lego Wishlist: Stun Tank, Dug debris loader and rail gun, Sionver Boll, Nakha Urus, Dug warriors on Insectomorphs, Zillo Beast. Next: Godzillo attacks Tokyo Coruscant!
