Wait, this Saturday? I thought the sets weren't supposed to ship until the 8th?
-
Comic, not set. That does look official and indeed very TDK-ish! The fact that it sits so low proves that it cannot be a simple update for the current figs since it doesn't look good on them, and it would make sense for TDK Batman to have lower eye holes since his real eyes need to be showing. I am convinced that we will get a completely redesigned Bats if we get TDKR sets (which seems even more likely now).

Uhm, because Iron Man doesn't have a giant collar, bulky shoulder pads, and a jetpack. Perhaps one of his suits does, but not his regular one. I think he's fine as he is.

Nice idea indeed. Time for some more requests. The following two funnies were Zilcho's idea. And this one came from LEGOman273:

Very well done! The RGS looks nice, and the hangar (not hanger) is impressive, most impressive! You might wanna fix that typo, though, if you're going to write the title on the image.
-
Very cool. This vehicle is from one of my favorite chapters in my favorite Clone Wars series and recreated very nicely. I never imagined it to be quite this big, but you're right, it's hard to judge the size of it. I don't suppose you have the minifigs to recreate the fight on top of the barge?

Look like Qui Gon overdid it again. Very nice as usual! Jar Jar is especially done well, although his neck seems a bit thick. Too bad you didn't enter this in the community build. With the extended deadline, this would still have been on-time. But I guess it's not an actual scene from the movie anyway. I wouldn't say I like him, but I don't dislike him either. Doesn't mean that I don't enjoy a good "Kill Jar Jar" MOC once in a while though.

Thanks! I'm quite happy how that shot turned out myself. And yeah, feel free to make it your wallpaper. I'd probably do it myself if the Avengers wouldn't be taking up my background currently.

Hm... It's hard to say how credible it is, considering its the LMB, but it doesn't sound like something someone would make up, and I wouldn't be surprised if this were true. It's not the first time something like this has happened, and there have been rumors of TDKR sets for a while. After all, we haven't even seen pics of the Ultimate Spider-Man set yet, and it's around the corner, so there could very well be some TDKR sets that we don't know about yet. But before I'll give this any serious thought, I'll say: "Pics or it didn't happen."

The first one and a half episodes of Korra are now available on Nick.com. Great stuff. It has a very different feel than ATLA and yet it's just as enjoyable and fits into the Avatarverse perfectly! Same outstanding animation, same good writing, same great humor, same awesome action, etc. Ultimate Spider-Man turned out to be pretty good too. It's campier than I expected, but that's not necessarily a bad thing since I was laughing out loud several times during the two pilot episodes thanks to the very random, Family Guy style cut-away gags. The animation is good (admittedly better than Spectacular Spider-Man) and the story is promising. I'm curious to see how it pans out. The latest Young Justice episodes are pretty good too as they do seem to be getting darker and deeper. Haven't gotten around to watching Green Lantern and Thundercats yet. South Park is funny as usual. As for the latest MLP episodes, they were alright. Hurricane Fluttershy was pretty darn adorable and a much better episode than the Iron Will one. Even the CMC episode last weekend was more bearable than usual since the Mane 6 and other characters got a decent amount of screen time, and I actually felt bad for the CMC. They sure are getting desperate, aren't they?

Yes, that's how I interpreted it too. Not bad for a first funny, although it's not a single pane funny. By the way, believe it or not, but there is a funny in my mind that I can't execute because I lack the minifigs required for it. So, if anyone has the new Millenium Falcon (and a decent camera), please let me know.

Some new shots from me. First up, a Lego version of the iconic BTAS image! BTAS Credits Batman by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr I recently bought a Firebender, completing my collection of Avatar figs, and of course I had to take some pictures of this guy! Here's a photo of him in the pose from the intro sequence where Katara says "Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked..." Then Everything Changed by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr And here's one of him standing on a flashlight, giving him an ominous fiery look! I only tweaked the colors a bit and added a slight dark vignette. Playing With Fire by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr

Yay, thanks for the tag! Go Hufflepuff!

Alright, everybody, the community build is officially over. It has been an enjoyable two months. There are over 30 fantastic entries, making this the biggest Star Wars community build ever! Thanks to all those who entered. The mods are not around at the moment, but as soon as one of them gets back, I'll make sure that each of you gets a shiny new tag for your participation! However, I am a bit disappointed that only about half of the people who signed up for this actually entered something. Next time, please make sure that you have a clear schedule before signing up. The next CB will start soon, and I'm sure most of you can already guess what the theme will be, so get ready and start thinking about what you want to build! Again, big thanks to all the entrants and I hope to see you again next time!

Meh, it's okay. There is a slew of other Marvel figs that I would have liked instead (Nick Fury, for instance), considering we already get an appropriately sized Hulk in the Helicarrier. Heck, I would have even preferred the Toy Fair Iron Man. Oh well, I'll probably try to get him anyway. I just hope it's true that it doesn't have to be a Super Heroes purchase, because there's no freaking way I can wait 'til May 16 to get the Marvel sets!
-
Thanks! I'm quite happy with it myself. This was a fun CB, and the entries were all stunning! Too bad we didn't see a single Room of Requirement though. Oh well. So, do we get a tag for participating like in the SW CBs? Just curious.
-
Aw man! This looks great! I think I even prefer this over the Maul promo! I'm totally buying me a UCS Artoo that weekend! For the recent Black ARF promo, it didn't have to be 100% SW. I only bought the droid escape set, the rest was Super Heroes, and I still got the ARF. Not sure if it will be the same this time around, but I would think so.

Hehe, nice ones again, Jedd. And good luck trying to steal my title; I got nearly 180 quality SW funnies under my belt. I must be blind, because no matter how many times people link me to that site, I don't see any listed source. And that page alone cannot be the source because it's a wiki page. Speaking of Hammer, I'm not done making fun of him yet. Here's a funny that's based on the fact that it takes seven whole steps to put him together: ARC Trooper by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr I also have another TIE pilot joke: Pilot Imposter by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr And since I haven't done a Brony joke in a while, here's a parody of Plo's Bros: Plo's Bronies by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr

Yes, the Helicarrier and Cap sets are listed as in stock in store for me too, but I just checked my local Targets and they didn't have anything. I didn't bother to ask them to check in the back since I figured it must be a mistake.

First post updated with lots of new pics of the final version!
-
This may be a bit late, but here's the finished version of the Quidditch pitch! Let me know what you think!

Judging by that image, I guess the answer is "nowhere". People keep claiming that, but when you ask them for a source, they suddenly get quiet.

Hi, everyone! Thanks to the Lego Group, it is my great pleasure to provide you with this early review of the upcoming Ultimate Spider-Man set! So, without further ado, let's get started! Set Number: 6873 Name: Spider-Man's Doc Ock Ambush Theme: Super Heroes Subtheme: Marvel Universe Year of Release: 2012 Pieces: 380 Minifigs: 3 Price: $39.99 USD Brickset The Box The box has the same red box design as the other Marvel sets, except it has an illustration of Spider-Man in the top right corner instead of the Avengers. The back of the box demonstrates all the play features of the set. The Contents Inside the box you will find an instructions booklet, a comic, a sticker sheet, and 3 numbered bags. Here's a random instructions page. It's fairly easy to read, and I like the spider web pattern on the background. The Minifigs There are 3 minifigs in this set, and they are pretty cool. First up we have our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Like with Batman, this is a good chance to get him if you missed his own theme a few years back. He is similar to the old Spider-Man figs, except for the big white eyes, the much smaller spider symbol on the chest, and the blue hips. Next, there is Iron Fist. I don't know much about this fellow and I don't know why he was included, but I assume the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon will provide the answers for that. And last but not least, Doctor Octopus! He looks kinda weird, but interesting. I guess the cartoon is going for a creepy look for him. They all have back printing too, even Doc Ock! The Doctor also has a double-sided head with one normal and one angry face. Here are some reference images from the Ultimate Spider-Man website. All the characters look pretty spot-on! The Build The build is pretty straight forward. Here's an in-build shot: The Finished Set Here's the complete set in all its glory! I think it looks great. Lots of nice little details for a set of this size! The play feature is fun, but it doesn't always work as you can see in this picture: And of course, TLG had to include some flick-fire missiles. Meh. Ratings Design: 5/5 - I'm not sure how show-accurate it is, but the set looks great! Build: 3/5 - It's an average build. Nothing too exciting. Minifigs: 5/5 - Doc Ock looks a bit odd, but other than that, the figs are pretty accurate to their counterparts in the cartoon! And I'm just glad to get Spidey. Playability: 3/5 - The play features are nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. Parts: 4/5 - There are lots of parts in rare colors, and a few new molds, so it's a pretty good parts pack! Price: 4/5 - The price to piece ratio is pretty good, especially for a licensed set! Overall: 5/5 - I think this is a great set! For me, it's one of the best sets this year and I can highly recommend it! I don't have any word on when it will be officially released or what store(s) it will be exclusive to yet, but it shouldn't be too long. I hope you enjoyed this exclusive preview. And remember: With great power comes great responsibility!

Very well done! The whole scene looks great, and the carcass is very nicely built. But my favorite part would have to be the time machine. The color scheme and bubbly shape remind me of the egg-shaped time machine from Duck Tales! Very nostalgic!

Yup, it's just like I said before. In the first Ninjago episodes, he had a clear ambition, but now he just does things simply because he was bitten by a snake. But at least he now showed that he does have a choice to be good if he wants to. Unless he only saved the ninjas just to steal their weapons later on, but I doubt it. I think the reason why the episode was lacking is because the ninjas were defeated too easily in the beginning and didn't really do anything for most of the episode, putting their trust into the 7 year-old son of their nemesis for their rescue. And it's just dumb luck that they escaped at the end. Just type it into youtube. It's on there now.
