Nice set! Comes with all the pieces I'd want, though it seems TLG would rather not give us any more Elf hair, which is what I need at the moment. Still, I'll be picking up at least 2.

Sorry to keep you waiting, but Orc Battle Pack now added!

I thought I'd hate this theme for being apparently 'historical' like Ninjago, but I actually love it now. My favorite thing to do with Lego is to create new types of alien (Yes, I am also a SPORE player.) for my army, so all these new parts are mouth-watering . I also like the Minotaur minifig, being my favourite 'fig ever, so these new torsos can go well with my painted Minotaur heads.

Just before I got Helm's Deep and U-H Army, I made an army of Rohirrim (15 minifigures), mostly from Vikings torsos, PoP minifigs and Castle helmets. Alamutian soldiers where the most useful single figure for making Rohan, as all but the helmet is usable(Though they could perhaps do with more of a beard). That way I could keep the colour scheme almost accurate. I also found that the Collectifigs series 8 Hamlet's legs work perfectly with Theoden's torso.

So is Disney going to end out owning all the movies eventually? Next they'll have LOTR as well, won't they?

I find it funny how many explosive functions are on that Great Goblin (I refuse to call him the 'Goblin King' or 'Orc King', in the same way it's a Juggernaut, not a 'Turbo Tank') set and how much carnage you could cause by hitting one part of it. Though, I feel this set suffers from the lack of full rock detailing. The Scribe's (Now confirmed) crane thingie has not enough parts to look good removed from the structure and the ladder part has a huge hole under it. Finally, I'm ashamed the throne has nought under it but a Moria-esque treasure chest revealing mechanism, where there could have been a whole cave part. Who thinks this set'll have clips to connect Gollum's cave to the side of it?

I don't really mind about Kili's hair colour. As it happens the part in that colour is exactly the same as my Real Life hairstyle. Do we have any pictures of the back of it yet? EDIT: Also, I happen to have the Bombur torso print pic on my computer. Anyone want it?

Which Hobbit Dwarf is Your Favorite?
Flobnomdob replied to Deathleech's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Definitely Kili or Bofur, for having the most useful hairpieces/hats. Oin's not bad either. EDIT: And a question- how many of you will devise some strategy to remember the names of each dwarf? I'm going to print off the picture in the first post and glue minifig stands above each dwarf. Or does no one care, really?- 81 replies

Here's an obviously impossible connection it was easy to find: Nothing more to say. -
LDD 4.3.5 bugs
Flobnomdob replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I've found a bug- part (MINI ARMOUR WITH ARMS) will not connect to the top of a minifg torso, only onto the legs. I don't know if the actual part can do this. -
LDD 4.3.5 is out

Well,I have seen a spiderweb with a bar/ handle added (SPIDER'S WEB W.SHAFT ø 3.2) and a new axe piece (AXE W. 3.2 HOLE), so these are interesting. Maybe in a future Ninjago set? But isn't there that GARRISON CAP part that doesn't exist? What was that doing there? EDIT: I've just seen two new Hero Factory parts, I'm no expert on the series but I believe (BEAM 3M ø 10.2 BALL WITH GUIDE) and (3m double ball cup- HF 2012) are before unseen. I can't wait until '2012' to get that new tiny ball cup thingie! EDIT EDIT: Also exciting part (HOLDER ø3.2 W/TUBE ø3.2 HOLE)- :wub:awesome for micro-scale building! Does it come in the Rancor Pit set? -
May I ask why everyone is completely beliving one person saying that thi theme'll come out? I don't see a gram of proof anywhere... Still, it's a nice idea for a theme, and I'd surely buy a set or two if it's real.

Love Oin! I have nothing against any new hairpeice, but there could be slightly less white...Still, awesome! This theme will give us so many old grumpy man faces!

REVIEW: 8833 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 8
Flobnomdob replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the review! Though, I'm not amazingly impressed with this series. I think it might be the lack of many good historical 'figs. There doesn't seem to be much 'army building' capabilities in this series, apart from perhaps the bat and robot. If TLG is planning on relesing a counterpart for every minifig in CMF, I look forward to a Female Minotaur, Foretwoman and Female Spartan. Until then, I'll only buy the diver, buisnessman and actor from this series. I don't really think I could make much of an army with Conquistadors, as there seems too much gold for it to be just a generic soldier. -
I recently saw the Dino triceratops part at a friend's house and have noticed how much it reminds me of a Great Beast (The giant rhinos seen pulling Grond in the battle of Minas Tirith), if it only had a different head. I'd love to see one of these in a set!

Build your own Pirate LEGO Animal Battle Pack - FAQ
Flobnomdob replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
This is what I thought of with a 'baby shark': So, thinner and smaller than the classic shark peice, and probably with no opening mouth. By the way, are my suggestions valid? Could I go and add them to my battle pack on the other thread now? Also, don't we already have a small monkey piece, as in the Collectifigs one? -

How about a seahorse? Or a baby shark? Or a hermit crab (Designed to fit into Hadras's headgear) ? Or a flatfish? I think, a sea serpent type Lego part is this, from an old prototype set, visible at the bottom of this image. -

LOTR Project: The Return of the King
Flobnomdob replied to Nuju Metru's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great! I honestly look forward to seeing this in a shop near me soon, if TLG's designers have a sense of good product design. Also, I'd say Minas Tirith need be only one set, though an Uruk-Hai Army styled other set would add to the look as well. -
That is one beautiful 'fig. It might just equal Theoden in printing! I don't care about the new weapon's colour, it's the fact that they didn't just use a gold katana that pleases me enough. I do hope I can add this to an army! Glad it's not Gandalf the White also, I'd much rather I could get him in a set (Or two) Recently, I saw the Batman 2 game in Morrisons (I'm in the UK) with the Lex Luthor polybag packaged in with it, which frstly means that you'd definately get the fig if you bought it instore, stocks couldn't run out and if the shop ever put a discount on the game it'd still have to come with the exclusive minifigure . Shame is, they only had the game for Xbox.

I don't think so, because I'd rather inspire the TLG designers than force it upon them, and I doubt these'll reach 10,000 supporters. If they don't then these ideas are doomed and TLG could feel obliged not to release anything that'd look like stealing my ideas. This is part of why I think CUUSOOing ideas like this could actually lessen the chances of sets being made.
