I don't mind, if whatever we get is still compatible. I'm still a bit confused as to why it seems they never considered a proper Pacific Rim theme, though

This is impressively massive. Could you show us the animation, please? I'd like to see what they do

Ah, I like that face! The insctoid shape of the whole thing works really well. One question, though- how well does it stand up on those feet?
-
I wouldn't worry too much about that on Eurobricks, we have one of the most polite communities on the internet I love the shaping on this ship, and the wings have a very unique configuration. As for reccomendations, how about some big engines? This sort of spaceship looks as it'll go very quickly.

MOC: The Temple of the Twin Jaguars
Flobnomdob replied to Mark of Falworth's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It's nice to see you've been able to fit so many odd colours into the foliage without it being distracting, the greenery just looks very lush and jungle-like. I love the greebles as well!- 32 replies

I love the way the eyelashes are made on all of these, and the Major NIxel is good. I like to think, though, that there'd be no need for a female tribe- I imagine one or two from each tribe being female, but their voices from the cartoons seem to claim otherwise... I do hope we get an officail pink tribe in the future, if the first three series do well.

NEW LDD Brickset out - 1392
Flobnomdob replied to Lyichir's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Funnily enough, I have the opposite problem. I can't reach any of the Legacy colours because of the modern list pushing them down off the screen. Have I missed an update? I'm seeing an enormous amount more prints for heads, torsos and legs (Including arms). It seems as if they've finally uploaded the prints of all the CM figures, and a couple more. I think the next udate should redesign the GUI for prints. I'm squinting at the screen to see if I'm adding the right 'crotch' print. -
I usually rotate the arm so it's facing down, then lever it upwards. I'm not sure if this is the best (Or only) technique, but I've never broken a part like that. Sometimes I do remove the hand first, or just avoid holding onto it. This is another conversation that would sound very strange if no-one knew we were talking about toys.

Thanks! Best of luck to everyone.

I love the idea of 'terraforming' one of those crater baseplates! This is a very well-put-together model, good luck in the competition.

I don't see my entry on the list, could you check please? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=95083

Here is my entry for the 'Home Sweet Home' competition- a rough-and ready shelter built from the remains of a crashed space station, with one survivor. The photagraphy stinks here, because I was seriously limited by time, but I'll probably post better images of it later on. Still, here it is... I've always wanted to find a suitable use for all those solar panel-stickered flags I got with the Discovery Channel International Space Station, so I combined them with some of those huge boat rigging parts and messed around with hinges to give this MOC some character. There is a large broken window on the side of the 'building' that I'm quite proud of, more on that later. This home is lived in by a lucky survivor of the station's crash, who has partailly converted the wreck into a home.

I'm looking forward to entering this, I just need to decide which figure to make a home for. There are so many...
-
I would've liked to have done that, but a lot of the parts don't exist in those colours...

Best Chima legend beast for parts?
Flobnomdob replied to Im a brickmaster.'s topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The wolf seems to be the best, with a lot of the joints and plenty of teeth. Best value for parts, though, is probably any of the Mixels. -
This build is perfect! I was thinking about how many opportunities were lost in the lack of Thor: The Dark World sets, and was imagining how this would make a good set. You've nailed it! Why can't this be official

REVIEW: 71005 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Simpsons Series
Flobnomdob replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for the very early review! The series looks okay-ish. There are some nice torso prints but I can't think of any uses for the heads, they're all just plain ugly (Albeit recognizable, especially Chief Wiggum), but I do like the super-simple prints. It's rather nostalgic after so many over-detailed SW 'figs with foot printing and such, though the mini leg printing here is marvellous. Shame none of that ever made it onto any of the 14 short the Hobbit figures. I probably will only buy Chief Wiggum, Apu and Scratchy.- 118 replies

I've spilled only one in the store. I was walking past the counter holding it by the lid when it popped off, dumping the contents mostly under the shelf. The cup was full of trans-white studs, so I must have missed a few when picking them up. The store attendant just stared on. I've dropped wone or two at home as well, in fact I dropped the same re-filled cup again almost as soon as I got home that day. It went into my white parts box, so I'll likely never see those parts again.

This is marvellous. The rock effects and the ice works really well! Nice to see such a detailed frame, that's great.

This is my first train MOC, and it felt like a big, complicated project. It’s based on inspired very loosely by the Jupiter train from the Lone Ranger film. I gave myself a simple brief when designing it- it must be fully compatible with the Constitution train, and have some interesting function. I took most of the time connecting together a complex trigger system for a light brick in the firebox, which is activated by a small lever in the cab. I didn’t actually look at any photos when building the thing, and I’ve now realised the actual thing was mostly silver, like most things in the Lone Ranger (Horse, gun, bullets, mine etc), but here we go with a red, dark red and gold-themed train. I built a coal carriage based closely on the Constitution’s and a few other carriages, but I’ll share those later. Anyway, I’ll let these amateurishly taken photos tell the tale best. Most of these pictures link to huge version, but this one goes to my Flickr. Front view, showing those headlights I'm quite proud of. A neat side view The train's back half, with the coals. Our cheerful driver works the controls here Here is the driver messing about with some vent on the side, which is only here because I found it fitted there. Finally, the "play function" I built into the model. Here is the cab's interior... ... And when that lever is pulled upwards by an enormous finger-thing of The Man Upstairs... It lights up! You have no idea how long that took. I had to rip out and reconstruct the interior many times before that would work. Anyway, that's it until I finish off and upload all the carriages I made to go with this thing. Building it was a new experience and it was fun working with all these new-to-me parts. Comments welcomed!

Harold wondered where his half-empty beer bottle had gone. He glances over to the lizard-faced fellow, who is very quickly surrounded by empty and broken beer bottles. "No worry" Harold thinks, "Mine was half empty."

Harold felt proud of his flamboyant costume, knowing he'd stand out well in any crowd. He hoped he'd be hired in a fairground someday, but at this time was looking for a quest. He consulted the board- "Oh", he said.

I just found a reference to Friends in the film- one of the signs in Bricksburg points to Paradisa, Heartlake City and Century Skyway. Go to 0:19 on this clip-
