  1. I like the trees in the "November Uprising". Very autumnal!
  2. I'm actually on desktop, with the browser window set to precisely "whatever-I-think-looks-good" pixels. When I adjust the width, the banner stays centred and the logo stays at the edge of the window, becoming smaller when the window is narrow enough. I think it is working as intended.
  3. The new banner looks great! I did have a laugh because, with the width of my particular browser window, Steve is getting clocked in the head with that Eurobricks logo. His friend seems to be enjoying it, though.
  4. I love the snowy look to the whole model. Great job!
  5. This is nice. I love the pack-goats!
  6. By the way, did I miss seeing the winners for the random draw amongst those who voted? I cannot find them listed anywhere.
  7. I liked the bonus points system, as it takes away the question of whether to vote for yourself or not. Last year, I got busy and did not vote right away. Then I realised my entry was in the top three, so all voting options became too tactical, which seemed a bit artificial to do, so I ended up not voting. That's why I made sure to vote right away this time. I agree that all the rules got a bit complicated this time, though.
  8. I like this sort of random useless moving thing. I particularly like the Stop sign.
  9. I find it interesting that you thought this, as I consider physical bricks an advantage when choosing which models to vote for. I prefer physical models, so I would rarely vote for digital entries. Probably just me, though.
  10. Congratulations to all the winners!
  11. "Steve Origins: Meeting Redbeard" by Oky
  12. After staring at too many old set boxes during the Pirates contest last year, I believe the black in all classic Pirates sets is intended to be wood. Note the dock in the Rock Island Refuge is black as well, as are the docks in the Eldorado Fortress, Lagoon Lock-up and Imperial Trading Post. All rafts are based in black with only accessories like barrels in brown. (As @Mister Phes pointed out, brown was only used for a limited selection of elements.) All ship masts are black. All these items would have been wood in real life. This is further indicated by the last wave of classic Pirates in 1997. The new brown wood-effect bricks from the Western theme are freely mixed with black bricks, because the black was always meant to be wood. The same is seen in Pirates Perilous Pitfall: Note the dock is still black. The only exception to this seems to be the bizarre grey docks in Skull Island and Imperial Outpost from 1995. Not sure what's up with them. So, it appears to me that Rock Island Refuge is intended to be a wooden structure with stone reinforcing as indicated by the print on the black panels.
  13. I vote for @Autumn for providing consistently concise, helpful and natural feedback.
  14. I was helping a friend vacuum out her van once, and she let me keep all the LEGO elements we found. There were a bunch of pieces, but the only one I remember was a nice Friends figure.

  16. I was a volunteer at the Olympic Village in Paris, and I found that outside the Denmark house they had a LEGO DOTS style mosaic set up. People could add designs to the display as they went by.
  17. Alas, I cannot do all things simultaneously.
  18. That is very nice! I like how you've kept the style of the original Rock Raiders vehicles.
  19. Do these challenges cut off when entries close? Unfortunately, I was not able to follow this second round closely, as I was rather busy putting on that big international sporting event. Looking forward to the voting, however!
  20. Yes, I was going for a torchlit night time feel. I actually didn't edit the colour, the effect is just from mis-setting the white balance on the camera. I'm glad you like it! A green bottle might look good, but I haven't got one.
  21. This is beautiful and very clean. I can almost hear the lightsabres igniting a split second later. :)
  22. "They generate their own deflector shields." Those shields are really clever, going below the floor to hide the rest of the sphere.
  23. Congratulations Sydney on winning the first to 25!
  24. Like I said in the other topic, I was trying to post both here and in the Mini Imperial Trading Post at the same moment, but the forum software foiled me. You may choose whichever you like to be the first to 25!
