  1. is this the book? https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Harry-Potter-Build-Adventure/dp/1465483616 TIA!
  2. I certainly hope there is a way to simply purchase it.
  3. FTR, I actually like the set quite a bit, It's a cool little build I might get 2 copies
  4. Seeing the leak on IG, I stand corrected :( Not sure how an ultra nano scale set looks so large in the background. It'll most assuredly be out in time fo the holidays.
  5. LegoSims20 needs a hug...
  6. There's no way the Top hat is minifig scale it's almost as big as the wizards hat in the foreground, And the top, right most element appears to be a 1x1 cylinder atop 2 or 3 2x2 round bricks.
  7. Well to be fair, the Willow is depicting a scene from COS but the Train is certainly POA. w/Lupin and the Dementor. There are several POA sets that could be made; Knight Bus, DADA Classroom as described above, the Shack, Hogsmeade, Buckbeak, Sirius, WW Lupin, Theres still a lot that can be done although they have certainly gotten some of it covered.
  8. Well the CMFseries has some Year 3 figs, so I did kinda gloss over it. Not to mean that I don't want POA sets, some new ones would be fantastic.
  9. Best Case scenario would seems to be a mini-wave in Jan and a normal in Spring. I can't imagine a full scale wave similar to what just hit this quickly. maybe a few sets in the winter and then a full run in the spring The difference this time around is that Lego can prey on nostalgia. This is the 20th anniversary of HPs original release as well as the 20th anniversary of the in story climax between Harry and Voldy AS WELL AS A movie year for the 2nd installment in the FB franchise... As long as sales remain robust, there is little doubt well get 2 more full waves (years 4/5 and 6/7) and I'd wager at least Wave 2 of the CMFs are already done and packaged.
  10. Addressing your points/questions in order - I expect any Hogwarts, D2C or otherwise, to be comprised of both smaller intricately assembled multi piece sections AND larger BURPs and castle walls. The last Hogwarts was very much like this. Mircoscale for the exterior with minifig-ish scaled sections to add play value. I would LOVE dark tan, it would help to differentiate this new set from the previous ones.
  11. Leveraging both the FB franchise films and the WW of HP branding to have a several year spanning theme would truly be exactly what many of us here would love to hear. I think HP is my favorite theme of all time, there is just something special about the architecture environments and scenery that lends itself to LEGO. I've never purchased a HP toy other than LEGO. It's perfect synergy.
  12. I would expect the theme to be handled much like TLG did in 2010/2011, 6 initially and 3ish to follow up. If it's coming in 2018 it will certainly have Fantastic Beasts 2 sets, perhaps 2/3 of the 1st wave FB with the rest HP.
  13. Yup, for Diana and not purple, dark blue
  14. How would I find this particular Reddit conversation?
  15. I saw it in store yesterday.
  16. I had hopes that the Beast would be a big-fig. :(
  17. I have some from every series other than the Simpsons (at least 1 of every figure I want) but nowhere near a complete full set
  18. So you're saying you can get the 7965 for $70 USD or less? The TFA set will be over $150 USD........ No contest
  19. Is Max Burns' hair Dark Orange? As in is it exactly the same as Ron Weasley's?
  20. I just finally got the Arkham Breakout set this week and as I was building it, it dawned on me that Bats above all other super heroes is best suited for LEGO. The Supes sets were pretty meh, and while I like some of the Guardians sets, the possibilities with Bats are endless. I agree that it gets irritating with 400 Batmen and 200 Jokers coming out every year though, but I don't see it changing ant time soon.
